A list of puns related to "Beatmania"
Hello from one of your friendly IPS patchers! It's been a week since my last post, so it's time for another IPS patch round up. As always, feel free to make additional requests and let me know if you run into any issues. Most of these patches are requests that someone has made, so the system works!
Enjoy!

... keep reading on reddit โกI have one of the official Beatmania controllers that came with the US Release of the game and I was curious if anyone had ever replaced the buttons with arcade buttons or micro switch buttons and what it entailed. Any advice?
Hi guys
I've been trying to track down the name of these types of bulbs for a while, and the closest I've gotten were 555 wedge bulbs, but they're still quite different than the ones I'm talking about. Here are some pics: https://imgur.com/a/ES5dAYh
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
hello, as the title may suggest i am looking to get into beatmania, i have no clue where to start, do i get into 5 key and eventually do 7 key iidx, do i jump head first into 7 key or do i just not bother and stick to ddr. keep in mind i am quite low budget, with the only really affordable controllers being the 5 key playstation controllers.
Just starting out and I downloaded and joined infinitas and want to find other like minded iidx players. Are there any active discords or facebook groups I should join?
I've been really enjoying IIDX Ultimate Mobile for a while, with it's great portability.
I was wondering if it were possible to play it with things other than the official controller, such as a bluetooth keyboard.
EDIT:
I play on iOS, and I know switch controls exist, but you can't hold down two keys at the same time - one will cancel out the other press, meaning combos with more than one hold note aren't do-able.
Hello I was just wondering what is the deal with Konami Rhythm Games and their lack of compatibility. Like on the app store Beatmania said Android 6 or higher and I have Android 10 so I dunno why this thing is so stubborn. I hope Sound Voltex doesn't have this same nonsense cuz SDVX is my favorite game ever made.

Hey everyone. Around 12 or 13 years ago I imported a Beatmania US with a KOC and fell in love. At the time I bought several of the series on import, spending hundreds of pounds in the process and thus, an addiction was born. I never got that amazing at it (certainly by community standards) and can't remember how good I got (I have a feeling it was around 7 or 8 difficulty) but thoroughly enjoyed it. I have never has the opportunity to try it in an arcade.
I have two simple questions really. As someone who plays rhythm games regularly but isn't at a high level, if I buy an FPS controller, what would you recommend as the spec? I nearly had a heart attack when the shipping came to nearly another $100. I'm also worried about import fees, and this is the only purchase I can afford, but I want to do it properly.
The other question is, it plays on PC and PS2 - so would the cheapest way to get into the game be LR2 and emulation? I'm thinking of emulating PS2 as the money isn't going to Konami anyway now. I don't speak Japanese so can't face the hassle of playing the official game. Buying a KOC in the UK is hard as they are rare and when you add that and a PS2 together it is already around ยฃ200 which isn't much less than one of these dedicated controllers.
Edited to add, not sure if I need Sanwa or Ormon extras and not sure why the PhoenixWan has 4 buttons on the top and the rest have 2?
I've wanted a beatmania turntable since I first played the game in my local arcade like 18 years ago (god time needs to chill out...)
Anyway it's always seemed expensive in my mind though but I'm searching my local area lately and finding a couple listed randomly for like $50 each give or take. I'm just wondering if there's anything I should be specifically concerned about when it comes to spotting a good one, or any particular faulty hardware that I should be testing before I hand over my money? I mean testing the thing first would be best but that might also be out of reach considering meeting in an open place is likely how the trades would go down, that or having it mailed...
Regardless, what questions should I ask and what would you guys suggest I need to be aware of in this hunt for this gaming holy grail item that I've wanted forever?
Also side question: What's the best PS2 controller to PC USB adapter you guys suggest using if I play this on PC?
I'm debating between a gamo PHOENIXWAN vs. the ISTMALL controller and I'm looking for opinions on which to get.
Thoughts?
EDIT: Thanks to everyone who commented! I decided to go with a US-storehouse phoenixwan with the intention of swapping parts for omroms/samducks later in the future.

Hello Everyone,
So I've been playing Infinitas for about a month and a half but there's been a constant issue that I feel has been holding me back from improving. Basically what happens is that the game will continuously give me more fasts 70% of the time even when I switch my blue (offset) number. As my CPU I have a Ryzen 5 2600 (3.4ghz) and this is 0.1 below the recommended minimum specs on the infinitas website (everything else is good I believe). But basically I have tried everything from overclocking the CPU to 4 ghz to changing the graphics options through the Radeon software. I've tried a lot and I am wondering if I upgrade to a Ryzen 5 5600X which is a clock speed of 3.7ghz if that'll help. I also have special k installed and am trying to monitor performance and such.
Anyways any recommendations would be helpful if there's anything else I should do or if there's CPU's that y'all can recommend.
Yesterday at a Round 1 in Atlanta I noticed a guy playing had a Red Roundv1 frame while playing on the lightning model bistrover, I assumed this might have been something unlocked by playing at the location but I checked my eamuse account and nope!
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get this or any other custom frame unlocks for the game?
So one day when I was at round 1, i saw this one dude that was making songs that I would never imagine beating look too easy. And when he went to play IIDX 28 after playing some DDR, he was using an e-amusement pass and had songs that were 10 difficulty, and at the time I didn't have an e-amusement pass and I could only play up to 3 difficulty songs which I found kind of boring, but I just last week bought an e-amusement pass and am wondering how do I get those harder difficulty songs, do you like unlock them from playing the game, or is it a code or a mode?

Location test starting tomorrow, release date TBD (but it should be october-november)
I'm trying to improve my skill level and I notice that there's quite a bit of options; some older models as well. I also notice that most of them are out of stock...what model would be most recommended for a budget of about $300-450? Also, how long am i looking at waiting for some of these to go back in stock? Do I just need to check their stores every single day and pounce on it?
Yo man, I just ordered 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th + core, best hits, gotta. I'm thoroughly familiar with IIDX already, though I'll be playing through these mixes mostly blind. Where should I start with these? What are some key differences between these mixes? I also noticed 6th was the most expensive, though is that only because it was the final CS mix? I'm excited to recieve these soon and get stupid now.
Im looking to play Beatmania because it looks fun and I don't have a Round 1 near me
Beatmania IIDX's first and only game for home consoles in the states released 15 years ago today wow. I think this game is pretty fun even if it's just a copy of 9th style with some minor changes.

Iโm having some issues with a Beatmania controller (US-KOC) I got from eBay. It looks pristine on the outside and works well when it does work. But otherwise to get it to work sometimes I have to pop out the button module and reinsert it. In other extreme incidents I have to clean the connector on the button module with alcohol to get it to work. Has anyone else had similar issues and have any of you found a permanent fix for this? The only thing I can think of would be to solder/hardwire the button module to the base of the unit.
Weird question, but I was wondering if the song that plays at the end of your session in bistrover (when you select a country and spin the wheel to get points towards recipes/new songs) has a name or is uploaded to YouTube/on the official soundtrack.
Hello everyone! So I have a JKOC with USB adapter. Latency is pretty good, I don't have discernable problems if I play emulation or other stuff. Infinitas, however, doesn't want to recognize the controller natively. Fine, I guess, I can use Antimicro and set it as a keyboard. However, Infinitas also recognizes the controller as a gamepad, and it conflicts. Did this happen to anyone else?
Thanks,
Madatek
