A list of puns related to "Bartolomeo D'alviano"
It's the second time I am playing a videogame where a weapon is called "Bianca", the first one was Bartolomeo d'Alviano's sword in Assassin's Creed II.
A quick Google search also returned Varric Tethras' crossbow called "Bianca" in Dragon Age.
Is it just a pure coincidence on a subtle reference by the Desperados developers to the other two games?
Some of you may remember my post from a while back, where I announced Iβd be recreating the Project Legacy Chapters in a more exciting way. It took a while but the first Chapter is finally here!
Hereβs the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zpZqeODUrx0
It shows the memories of Bartolomeo dβAlviano during the Battle of Agnadello in 1509.
Since itβs the first video in the series, I would appreciate some feedback so I can improve on the following chapters!

Just a thought, but I was thinking about how Bartolomeo is part of the Grand Fleet and how he'll be involved in the final battle. The Bari Bari no Mi seems pretty impervious even to haki. The only counter that seems to work is the Gura Gura no Mi shattering it, and even if that doesn't work the Yami Yami no Mi will probably do the trick.

If you could only pick one to join the crew who do you pick? Obvious choice for me is bon Clay.
Domenico Tron takes a sip of wine, and looks across the table at Doge Agostino Barbarigo, the Doge returning the gaze of a determined man.
"It must be done."
The Doge is firm and his tone is strong.
Domenico swirls the wine around his glass. The glass is a humble one for someone like him, a merchant and in this case representative of the powerful Tron family, a simple clear vessel rather than the ornate designs that come from Murano. The wine is a dry red, purchased in Bandol on a trip to Marseille rather than a local bottle.
"Fine. My family will contribute money to this endeavor." Domenico takes a sip. "But I still do not trust them."
Venice will raise additional forces for potential conflict with the Turks. An additional 1000 Condottieri on contract from elsewhere in Italy, 750 Landsknechte especially proficient in the ZweihΓ€nder from Frankfurt, an additional 250 arquebusiers from the Veneto equipped with fork rests made from the same wood in the Montello forest used by the Arsenal, an additional 10 light artillery, and 500 ReislΓ€ufer from beside the lake in NeuchΓ’tel. 5,000 footsoldiers will be levied from Venice and the Veneto, drilled in the hire of Bartolomeo d'Alviano while on their station, partially to the contentment of Domenico Tron. Additionally, 2,000 Condottieri will join the forces of Venice from Mantua. (u/Scantlychad).
I don't mean the fact he likes to roleplay as a heel in tournaments or generally act like a mean guy.
I mean sure he is a great ally to Luffy, funny as hell, and overall presented as a goof that parted ways with the Dressrosa party on wonderful terms. But it's hard to overlook the fact he once gained notoriety for massacring innocent civilians, explictily written as gunning them down as his time as a ruthless mob boss. He was also noted for having brutally tortured his rivals to death all the time and you can still see this unbelievably terrible habit through his admiration for Luffy, like when he tortured and cut off someone's tongue for badmouthing him:
Even now, Bartolomeo is still presented as torturing or tormenting civilians or random pirates, only out of Luffy's name or misplaced admiration for him, which is practically what evil thugs like Peachbeard, Krieg, or a pre-TS Bellamy do in the name of their bosses or because they can.
Knowing this, do you still like him? It's such an oddity in how homicidal and evil this guy is and he's a good friend of Luffy. He's the kind of guy Luffy would beat the shit out of on certain terms.
Spoilers for Wano!!
Was rewatching and rereading Wano and I got to the point where Oden lost because of the old lady with the Clone Fruit and it occured to me how interesting it was how the old guy with barrier fruit (protecting Orochi) and Old lady with clone fruit (distracted Oden causing Kaido to beat him) were the two pivotal points in Oden's loss and that now the new users of these fruits (Bartolomeo - Barrier & Bon Clay - Clone) are now part of Straw Hat Grand fleet and Close friends with Luffy, respectively, and most probably will have a big impact on Luffy's journey to Pirate king.
Just found it interesting and props to Oda's Writing as usual.
