This is my art. I made it in high school. Sometimes I reverse image search and find it stolen.

I used to have a deviantart, but no longer do. I'd put it up before as wallpaper but explicitly explained you couldn't use it commercially. But I don't know if there's proof of that anymore.

I spoke to the publisher and didn't tell them why, but asked about the book. They told me they printed 20,000 copies.

Best case scenario they stop selling the book and pap punitive damages. What's reasonable?

If you had to secure and defend one of the two in the event of a (slow) zombie apocalypse, which would it be? How would you defend it? You only have the resources available normally in each store.

So Barnes and Noble has an annual book drive where they encourage customers to donate a book to local children's charities for the holidays. Now, I'm all about providing books for kids in need, but there's something that bothers me about this book drive: B&N charges full retail on the book and keeps the profit from the sale. Ok, so they're making money 9n this charity, but maybe they help out with the logistics of distributing the books? Nope, local charity organizations take care of that. There is no part of this that is charity on the part of Barnes and Noble. It is 100% just commerce. So to me, this is just a way for a retailer to pad their sales around the holidays. And honestly, their prices are higher than other book sellers, so if you want your charitable dollars to help more kids, donate on your own to a local charity. No need to let Barnes and Noble's shareholders pocket charitable dollars that should be going to kids in need!

Last year they did give away $250000 to toys for tots, but not as part of this particular program. Also, that's peanuts compared to what they most have made on 1.2 million book sales!
