>$CHEWY.... Ahem I mean $BARK...yeah $BARK. At first glance you might say...why? Iโm going to tell you why, calm down. First Iโm going to tell you a little bit about what this company does. This is a subscription service that will send you a new box of dog toys and treats every month. There are a couple different types of boxes/subscription services available. So, naturally,ย I'm going to exhaust myself listing them all out below.

>The original Barkbox: This box contains different toys/treats with new ones sent each month. This would be their most pupular (heh heh) product. The subscription service offered for this product benefits those who choose longer subscriptions. Here are some prices:

>6 months for $26 month ($312 a year)

The Superchewer Box: This box is the same idea of different toys/treats delivered monthly. The difference is that this box contains more durable toys for larger breeds or more active dogs. The prices of this product below:

Disclosure I own shares at $10.50.
BarkBox is a spac that today approved the merger. The Ticker $stic will be $bark on June 2nd.
Many of these subscription box companies get a bad reputation because there were so many grocery ones that lose billions for years and the pet ones made no money because all they did was get existing products and package them where the margins were horrible.
Nevertheless, barkbox is different. They own all of the products they put in the box, we call that vertically integrated. Have a retail store and sell the products at target and other online and offline stores. So, given the higher Margins, vertical integration, new revenue channels and fast growth I think the valuation should be more expensive than chewy on a price to sales multiple. Lets not discount that the subscription model will evolve over time churn is around 5% to 6% which is excellent.
The company actually has a few revenue channels:
buy subscription (you can customize as well),
add on products to the box,
dental (medical and preventative is new and will grow),
meal plan (sends you monthly box of daily meals; crazy but people/dogs can be picky about food),
ecommerce/retail where they sell the products on amazon, pet stores etc. this is an interesting business because it is not just ecommerce or subscription because they own a lot of the products they sell as their brand where they have exclusive supplychain and distribution agreements. They also have licensing with plush toys with NBA (example). They realized customers are crazy and treat dogs like people so do stuff accordingly.
No doubt they will sell clothes, costumers, more medical stuff like fleak tick products to help keep the customes within the ecosystem.
The ceo is actually new started in september 2020 and has options priced at $16 a share. He came from amazon and ebay and before that consultant at infosys. I think the management hire was an excellent decision as it allows then to scale their ecommerce business and get new customers into the ecosystem via subscriptions or not. I see the subscription revenue as potentially amazon prime stuff where people will just fill it up with what they need and not just junk all the time and people will be happy with that and some add-ons here and there.
The pet business is a fantastic long-term business as boomers age, etc. strategy for this is to buy and either hold or sell when it hits $20 to $30 if there becomes too much hype. This range of va

The merger that is bringing BarkBox to the market via SPAC is weeks away and has fallen off of the radar. The final stages of voting to approve the merger are taking place with May 28th being the deadline to vote and June 1 being the date for the $STIC -> $BARK ticker transition. BarkBox shared extremely strong Q4 and F2021 earnings this morning. The price has fallen back to dancing around NAV and there are wild opportunities for both short and long term growth via shares and options. $STIC May 21 10c is currently trading at 0.05 and the underlying is at 9.97. If there is a 10% pop before Friday then that's a quick 20x. Or, if it goes up a few cents you're at 2x. It's wild to see these trading here and a very small price change will have a large effect.
Alrighty ladies and gents, I've got one. There is a huge growth opportunity on the $STIC -> $BARK reverse merger. If you haven't heard of it, check out /u/SIR_JACK_A_LOT's post from when the SPAC was announced in December here.

That hasn't changed. Still got increased pet ownership and increased spending per pet. Still have a company that has a cult-like social media following.
What has changed is the price, merger acceptance and timeline, and very strong ER that was released this morning.

BARKBOX is a subscription company that sends out personalized boxโs with toys and treats for your dog ๐ถ. This past year it went public. It is currently in the 10 dollar range with cheap calls for the future. I believe this company will be a strong potential competitor to CHEWY whose stock price is around $77.00 . This stock is already a well functioning and profiting company with room to grow. This is not a pump and dump stock nor a squeeze stock but more of a longer term 1-3 years with potential to hit 20 dollars by the end of the year. My current position is 1k shares and about 60 calls. Do your own research ๐ง and spread the word. Iโm my opinion it has High potential to make you some moneyโฆ.
Hey guys! So I investing in barkbox the other day and wanted to see how you guys feel about its potential since itโs such a low stock right now. Should I hold it? Should I buy more?? Kinda new to this.

Long-time lurker, first-time poster, so please go easy on me. This community helped me make significant gains last year (mostly rode the CCIV wave up), and I unfortunately am now back to about even thanks to amateur investing mistakes.
I have moved a substantial amount of my portfolio into STIC because I like the company, and I think it will do well post-merger. I believe it has significant upside based on the fact that it was well-received by the market when it was first announced. I like that it has real recurring revenue (unlike many more speculative plays in the SPAC arena) in an ever-growing industry. Their social media presence and marketing are great, and I think it has meme potential for whatever that's worth. Detractors will say that the company lacks a moat and its business model can be duplicated. I agree but feel this is mitigated by the superior product and loyal customer base.
In the investor presentation from December 2020 (dated 12/16), management notes that 12/31/20 subscribers were forecasted 1.1M (page 14, linked below). However, in the investor presentation on their website dated 2/15 (page 14, also linked below), it shows 12/31/20 subscribers of 1.7M, and Joanna Coles also stated 1.7M subscribers in their press release yesterday (also linked below). Both numbers have the same note: โDec-20 Active Subscriptionsโ represents forecasted BarkBox and Super Chewer subscriptions shipped in the month of December 2020.
This represents over 50% difference from the original presentation, but their revenue is consistent between the two presentations. This certainly has implications for AUR. Does anyone have information on this discrepancy? Has this been discussed in the past?
Either way, disclosure: I'm long 2,000 commons and will look to enter into a warrant position if they become cheaper. Not a financial advisor, do your own due diligence.

... keep reading on reddit โกHi all, we just rescued a 2 year old black lab mix this week and I am eager to purchase a bark box for him (and maybe a subscription). After browsing this page I've seen the recent problem with the treats and chews and I am now extremely hesitant. Is it worth signing up for anyway? IS it worth just doing toys only? As a new dog mom, I am nervous reading all of these horror stories.
Thanks in advance for your honest opinions!
Thoughts on Barkbox? Do you subscribe? Are the toys actually indestructible? How many toys do you receive per month? Can I opt for only toys (no treats)? My 18 pound bundle of puppy has already destroyed at least 6 toys and itโs been less than a week since I brought her home. On top of that, she is recovering from surgery so this is not even her max energy level. ๐ฌ
Has anyone seen anything on the bsrkbox dumpling toy being restocked? It's been out for months and I can't see if any talks on it being restocked.
If not restocked does anyone know of toys similar to that one (size and texture). My dog (pom chi) loves that one and misses playing with those.
I thought I would share the response I received from BarkBox on May 1st (sorry, I just double checked and corrected my error) when I messaged them about not getting my April box by the end of the month.
" Since we're a monthly subscription service, we ship our boxes in rounds within those first two weeks of each month. As new subscribers may choose to subscribe past these two weeks timeframe, or of that set schedule for our pack (such as someone ordering on the 30th and so on) , we process orders for new orders 2-3 business days once placed, then ship at that same shipping timeframe the rest of our pack has! After that first box, they join that schedule that all the pups in our pack. That being said, our boxes are sent in cycles and I apologize for the delay we've caused with this month's box "
Oh and when I asked about May's box, because these boxes are getting later and later since BarkBox was purchased by an investment company.
" May's box will ship out within the first two weeks of the month and should be delivered 2-8 business days after that! "
It's the 16th of May and my box has NOT shipped out, nor have I received any communication from them attempting to be proactive by letting us know the box is going to be late. I really should have checked whether or not my account was on auto-renew back in March.
TLDR: Going all in on STIC, going to reverse merger with BarkBox in Q1/Q2 and be the next 10-bagger in the BECKY fund
Why? Bitches love spoiling their dogs, fucking look at their website and instagram, their DTC marketing is fucking on point
Buzzwords: Pets. E-commerce. Subscription. SPAC. Bitches.

... keep reading on reddit โกI have an almost 4 month old puppy, and I'm considering signing up for BarkBox. She's a medium shredder, meaning she does shred plush toys but it takes her a little while. However, I do anticipate this getting worse as she gets stronger and gets her adult teeth. She does also seem to get bored with toys. I've tried hiding some and rotating them, but I'm not great about remembering to do that lol.
Also, what are the chews? Are they usually safe for puppies without adult teeth? Anyone ever message them and ask that they don't send hard chews?
So do y'all think I should sign up for it?? Or wait until she's older? Or anyone think it's not worth it at all? Thanks in advance!
IPO June 1st? Stockholders received merger authorization forms for signature yesterday. Everyone should stock up on STIC as much as is affordable!
