A list of puns related to "Axe Throwing Name"
I started using axes as my melee of choice I was wondering if I am alone in that, my reasoning was and still is I can deal with regular grunts just fine by throwing, armoured are easy tool made for them, same with hives, problem is woth dogs, I can manage 4 of them alone but it is tricky. Pvp is rubbish. And there is a lot to improve with skills.
Why is the sound effect for pulling out arrows and knives out of corpses so annoyingly loud? Is it like that on purpose? Am I the only one who is bothered by that?
The ability to one-shot an armored mob (2 axes for one In concertina) and a hive hitting their body is more than enough for me and they are also quieter than a melee hit.
Yeah, they don't kill hunters in the head like knives (somewhy), but it's still a great utility tool for it's price.
The only negative I see is that they often drop through textures and may be hard to recover, so you may waste consumables. Excited for a new skin!
Picture this, youβre playing Legend CW and you see a red random range exchange. You have a green on you at best. Youβre playing slayer Bardin. You decide βhey even if I get a 2h weapon and lose my attack speed buff from running duel 1h weapons, at least Iβll bump up in power level.β Then you go for it and itβs throwing axes.
Iβm not gunna lie, every time I get them I had forgotten they were in the game. And I hate them. Theyβre terrible. Why are throwing axes so bad to the point that I feel my stomach sink because Iβve effectively lost a weapon. Theyβre so bad I forget they exist. I know Ranger Bardin can make them work and I know all weapons in this can be used in Cata solo 3 twitch mode or whatever. But throwing axes FEEL as bad as they are. And slayer Bardin canβt get ranged boons, they donβt count as 1 handed so you donβt at least get to keep Thousand cuts talent. Why.
Itβs just incredibly disheartening that the weapon that started throwing weapons is just so so bad. Rant over, back to legend CW for that red dual axe skin that eludes me for an eternity.
Throwing Axes are in the game for several months now, but i have pretty much ignored them so far. Recently i was thinking about taking them instead if the standard knife and throwing knife, since i dont like to occupie two slots for weapons that just have a PVE use in 90% of the times. This would create room for some traps... What do you think?
Hi guys I keep seeing people talk about throwing axes are good on Wenduag. I really wonder why it is the case.
Why is it good in the first place? Is it just the high damage, or something else too?
Why and how is it better than the default longbow build?
I have been having success with the default longbow build and don't see it being bad apart from demons' damage reduction. Should I hop to throwing axes? But for throwing axes at this stage I don't have good enough ones that can negate the DR of monsters either, I only have 2 that I bought from vendor in Act 1 just in case I need them later.
What make people specifically pinpoint throwing axes, instead of other throwing weapons or other weapons that benefit from her stats? How do they decide the very exact build out of the many possibilities?
Is it viable in high difficulties? I saw on neoseeker Wenduag is not listed as unfair viable but some other characters are, is the throwing axes build still outclassed?
Instead of gaining a prestige I lost one, bumping myself out of the lead right before the final dawn.
I just thought people should know this happened.
Hi all! I need a name for an axe throwing venue Iβll be opening up! If we choose your suggestion you will be given credit on our website and have a βtrophyβ inside the venue dedicated to you! We will even let you throw for free if youβre ever in town. Will let you know if youβre officially chosen :)
My fiance and I are pretty introverted people and are each others best friends so after planning most of it, we are pulling the plug and eloping. We are working things out with vendors, losing most deposits and thats fine, lesson learned.
BUT we were planning on having a mobile axe throwing company at our wedding reception. We've paid the deposit for four hours and its non-refundable (350). I had a couple ideas and wanted some opinions.
What do yall think? Any other options yall can think of?
Edit: Forgot to mention that we live 4 hours away from where our venue was going to be. The family that does live there (my family) are toxic and we have gone no contact with them. That is part of the reason we are eloping.
Since patch 1.7 whenever I recover arrows or throwing axes from dead bodies (players or monsters) it makes a loud noise that can be heard from a pretty good distance. Anybody experiencing this?
Hey guys my wife bought me a starter WATL kit abd I want to properly get into Ace throwing.
Problem is the nearest lanes (Badaxe) charge $26 a walk in which will get expensive fast.
My backyard is also small and full of camber.
Was wondering if anybody knows a good instructional on how to build a decent folding target? I have an industrial dolly, figured I could just wheel it up to the nearby park or open space.
I've mostly used dual hammers with throwing axes (QP taught me not to trust teammates to always pick off specials from range, I like having the option), but I've been trying out dual axes inatead of hammers so I can deal with elites and armored units easier in hectic situations.
Is this a dumb choice? I really like the mobility and being able to find space for a quick axe throw if needed, but I'm not sure if sacrificing CC is worth it?
I mean I like it, but I guess what I'm asking is whether or not dual axes instead of hammers is worse for the group or if it's just a matter of taste? Or if I should just trust my teammates more and go dual hammers for CC and 1h axe for everything else (although i DO love my throwing axes). Mostly thinking about survivability/usefulness to random groups on Legend.
Spoilers:
I noticed that if you loot the Desna Altar in Lost Chapel after speaking to Arueshalae, you will find a +3 Throwing Axe of Silence. Did a search on this reddit for this axe, and nothing came up, so just thought I'd put it out there. It seems like an easily missable axe since most players will have no reason to loot the altar after talking to Arue.
So RV lvl 10 talent has "Last Resort"-
25% power increase when out of ammo. I think that just about everyone skips over this without a second thought, but after accidently upgrading my throwing axes to red I was desperately trying to find a reason to not break out into tears.
Its very quick to drain your ammo pool with only 5 axe throws and its about 5 seconds to full reload. Obviously loading less axes is quicker.
I dont really have a good idea of how effective a 25% increase of power is but could it be a usable strategy? I know about breakpoints and such and 25% is massive, but I dont really take them into account on melee weapons.
Additionally, the RV talent "Master of Improvisation" reduces your career ability timer by 2 seconds every time you reload. In this case, reloading is done automatically after every axe toss. In a horde battle I would guess you might throw a couple axes, but inbetween fights I feel as though you could fully charge your ult for every encounter.
"Foe Feller" the last lvl 10 talent is solid- +5% attack speed but its kinda boring.
Wanted to test to see if i was reading the patch note line about bab correctly. You can now get more than 4 attacks with high bab (+21, +26, etc.)
Completely naked, with 2 masterwork axes and only a haste spell. 14 axes coming for you!

Breakdown. Sohei 11/Slayer (Imitator) 1/ Mutation Warrior 8
Mythic Path was trickster for the tier 3 athletics (bab = 25).
Apparently Imitator Fighter Stance is coded to increase your bab by 1 (Fighter stance gives +1 hit and damage increasing with slayer levels). So actually a 26 bab.
Attacks: 6 (bab) + 2 Flurry of Blows + 1 Ki Power Extra Attack + 1 Rapid Shot + 1 Haste + 3 Offhand
I don't have toybox for the beta branch but I think a legend could get 17 throwing axe attacks with haste now...
41 bab (full bab classes with Imitator 1) = 9 attacks + 2 Flurry of Blows + 1 Ki Power Extra Attack + 1 Rapid Shot + 1 Haste + 3 Offhand = 17 throwing axes.
Archer is my least played class, and this week I got curious and decided to grind to unlock the war bow. I got bored of the long bow after a while (especially with the learning curve that comes with the new draw speed nerf), and decided to seriously try playing skirmisher for the first time. I had a nice time hucking javelins and stabbing people... and then I hit level 15 and gave the throwing axes a go.
Holy moly, this is the most fun I've had in this game in a long-ass time! Sure, throwing axes only do 55-65ish damage, but you can throw them at such a fast rate it's easy to bring down most enemies in a few seconds at a distance. The delay between hitting the throw button and throwing the axe is also so quick, I find that I'm hitting just as many of my throws as I do arrow shots (although this might be because I usually get pretty close before throwing).
It's already somewhat rare to see skirmishers in most games, and I'm not sure if I can ever remember encountering anyone else using the axes. It might just be the high unlock level and the fact that it's a shameful archer subclass, but I'm genuinely shocked that I haven't seen more people using this weapon. Do I just have weird tastes, or are throwing axes an overpowered weapon that the player base hasn't discovered yet?
So Iβm a recovering alcoholic, Iβve been sober for a-little over a year now. I was a heavy drinker for 10 plus years and since quitting I havenβt been to a bar. Ive always avoided bars because that was always one of my biggest triggers. Once we got there it was just me and my buddy who didnβt drink while everyone was drinking and throwing axes. Needless to say we get into a minor argument the next day that escalated and I told her I was upset that she took me to a bar on my birthday a place that Iβve always actively avoided. She doesnβt think of the place as a bar but more of a recreation place with a bar. AITA?
Edit; I asked my buddy and he doesnβt define these places as bars more of a recreation place. (I enjoy top golf but thatβs because I golf and thereβs food and the bar is far away. )
