A list of puns related to "Avenue Du Maine"
Hi everyone. I recently came back from the UK and had to take a PCR test upon my arrival in Brussels. I got my day 1 test done at the testing centre on Avenue Fonsny, and was surprised to find that the result was positive. I then got another PCR taken at a different testing centre to be sure, and this one came back negative, as did a lateral flow I did beforehand.
I'm now very confused and wanted to see if anyone had a similar experience? To me the Midi test centre seemed quite chaotic/badly organised so I am thinking there is a chance they may have mixed up my sample or something. This is compounded by the fact the dates and location on my first test result are different to the time I got tested and the location I was tested at. Is this normal? Does it correspond to where the sample was taken or where it was tested? Thanks!
I am completely ignorant of the laws surrounding this area, but at a glance does this idea/concept resonate with anyone? Portland and Maine as a whole has a housing issue (if you haven't heard) and I have not heard too much in terms of mitigation strategies. Seems like we are in a "let it bleed" strategy right now.
I've lived in the Milton-Parc area for 8 years now, 3 of which have been near Avenue du Parc. I've watched as this street deteriorated from the sudden influx of homeless people due to COVID, helped in large part due to initiatives such as this assisting the homeless reach The Open Door (homeless shelter) located on Parc in response to COVID.
Let me preface this by saying that I have no issues with homeless shelters being located in my area, and with homeless people in general. The first 2 years of living there (pre-COVID) was bearable as there were maybe only a couple dozen familiar faces that would hang around the area. They would mostly respect your space as long as you did theirs. I am, however, a 5'10" dude so other people's experiences may vary during this time. Fast forward to today and the numbers seem to have tripled, with many new faces carrying unpredictable behaviors.
In response to the announcement of border closures on Monday, I decided to cancel my lease early and go back home to Ontario, with my parents helping me move my furniture with their car. On April 18th, early in the afternoon with clear skies, my Dad and I were walking along the sidewalk heading towards our car. Out of the corner of my eye I see a guy wearing a navy blue sweatshirt and sweatpants getting awfully close to my Dad from behind, but I made nothing of it because it's broad fucking daylight, who would pull anything right now? As I'm going to assist my Mom who's packing stuff in the car, I hear a scuffle behind me and I turn around to see the guy PULLING ON MY DAD'S HAIR while giving a cold, blank stare into the distance. My Dad is a senior btw (65 years old) so he can't fight his way out of it. I'm trying to process what the fuck is going on right now. After a solid 5-second strangle on my Dad's hair and him seeing me approach him, the dude books it. I'm tending to my Dad and we're both in complete shock, still processing what the fuck is going on, and watching as this dude runs away... but the story doesn't end here.
Literally seconds after assaulting the elderly, we watch as this guy runs up behind 2 girls that were maybe a 100m away, minding their own business and oblivious to what just happened seconds prior. We couldn't hear what he said to those 2 girls, but it must have been terrifying enough that these girls started ***r
