Why exactly do they do this ? Aurangzeb was an orthodox Muslim ruler. He endeavored to make islam a dominant force in his reign. Apart from akbar , none of those mughal savages qualify as humanist by todays standard.

Aurangzeb fell ill in the year 1662, due to fasting in the severe summer heat of Delhi as well as overworking himself with regards to the administration of the state. Such was the situation that many considered the Emperor would not survive.
The emperor fell mildly ill on two occasions, during the final 12 months of his reign, again due to his insistence on managing the administration of the empire, coupled with a fever from which he recovered.
