I have old family videos of my aunt crocheting at family dinner nights from the 90s, but im going to my in-laws house to do tamales and hang. Often times I get kinda bored there because we eventually run out of things to talk about, so I was hoping to bring my blanket to work on, but I dont want it to come off as being rude or anti-social.

Our postman is great; very friendly, and always relaxed about me taking a long time to open the door because my kids are creating mayhem. I thought of giving him a card and a small gift like some nice chocolates. Or maybe some cash? But I'm not sure this is normal or even legal! Grateful for any advice! Happy Christmas!

Hi parents! I'm looking for gift ideas for my goddaughter who is 3 and her brother who is in kindergarten. I'm not good at buying gifts for kids and I'm not sure how much I'm expected to spend? I know theres no strict limit or rules here but I want to get nice quality gifts for both kids. Is around $30-50.00 per child appropriate? I'm in my 20s and just moved out on my own this year so I don't have a huge budget to spend but I do want to get something nice. I'll be ordering all the gifts online as they live in another state.

I'm trying so hard to hold out until December. It feels so wrong to buy Winter beers while still in Fall. Am I weird for feeling this way? When do you guys give in and begin to drink Christmas beverages?

Okay, so in early December I ordered a large canvas print of my mom and my grandpa (her dad). Sadly, he passed away last week as a result of his Parkinson’s. When I ordered it, I had no idea that this would happen, knew it was going to come eventually as he’s had it for years, but one morning he woke up and wasn’t responding. 2 days later he passed. Is this still appropriate to give to her? It’s a really special gift from me to her, but I’m wondering if it’s appropriate as he passed last week?

I'm subbing for 7th and 8th grade art classes and the teacher has barely left any work for the students to do. She's left some coloring pages and I've printed out some additional ones I found on Google. The students are getting bored so I'd like to also show a movie in class starting tomorrow and for their last day, Friday, before winter break. What would be an appropriate Christmas movie to show them while they color and draw?

I've had a rough semester, and a couple of my professors have been absolutely instrumental in helping me through it. They have gone above and beyond to help me, and I really want to show my appreciation for them. I was thinking about getting them small Christmas gifts (nothing above 15 dollars), and I was wondering if that would be considered appropriate?

I’ll be in the store on Friday (Christmas eve) for monthly refills and was thinking about bringing a gift with me to drop off. I would love to get a gift for a Muslim (female) friend for Christmas but I have some questions.

-Would it be offensive to get her a gift for Christmas? -I was thinking of buying her a lovely handmade hijab, would this be cultural appropriation? -what sort of food/biscuits can I gift her? Are there any brands (UK based that are best suited?
