A list of puns related to "Anti Microbial"
I had a positive lactulose breath test of 23 ppm methane at peak and have had months of visible bloating that never goes away and mild constipation. gastro prescribed rifaximin and neomycin but i'm seeing here that it makes a lot of people worse.
please advise if it's a good idea to take these antibiotics or not, i've heard so much conflicting info and have read that herbal therapies might be more effective--but which? let me know what you've had success with please!!!
also, if all else fails, is the elemental diet an effective treatment?
It is my understanding that SIBO is not an infection and is the dysbiosis of gut bacteria and too much bacteria in the small intestine. Therefore shouldnβt it be possible to reverse it by increasing motility and diversifying the microbiome through food?
Hi all! Iβm taking oregano oil and Berberine for mixed hydrogen/Meghan sibo. Should I be doing low fodmap while on this regimen?
Also rifaximin and neomycin made my sibo so much worse. Anyone else?:(
I'm in Austin, and dayum it's been a humid year. My in-cabin filters last about 3 months before they start smelling again and I'm getting really tired of changing them. I'd love it if I could coat the filters with some kind of long-lasting anti-microbial coating so that they'd maybe help keep the smell at bay longer.
Anyone ever try this?
is there a better alternative? i just want my plant and rhizosphere to have access to as many kinds of carbs as possible without having to buy another supplement.
I finished Rifaxamin 1.5 weeks ago and started on allicin and biocidin. The day after I started antimicrobials, my hair started falling out. While taking Rifaxamin, I was also taking Interfase plus, ultimate igg, and probiotics.
It seems the internet is in agreement that eating low-fodmap during antibiotics (Rifaximin) puts the bad bacteria into hiding/survival mode and makes them harder to kill. Therefore one should eat high fodmap foods to coax the bacteria out to be killed by the antibiotic. (Does anyone have any any research to back this up? Where is this coming from? Just Dr.Pimentals personal opinion?)
And what about anti-microbials? Does the same apply during this phase in treatment? Should people be eating high fodmaps during this time as well? Also what about biofilm busters (Klaire labs + NAC)? Would you guess that treatment would be more effective if you were to take them with anti-microbials and a low fodmap diet? (The idea being that you are starving the bacteria while simultaneously breaking up the biofilm and killing with the anti-microbials?)
I just want something to calm down my stomach inflammation/gastritis that isnβt going to kill bacteria and send me into more die-off!
Iβve tried Boswellia (100mg yesterday calmed down my stomach but made me feel like crap with other SIBO symptoms), Aloe (this actually worked great - but itβs high sulfur so I canβt take it π), DGL Licorice, etc. Quercetin metabolises to Quercetin-3-sulphate so I canβt take that either.
Curcumin is apparently anti-microbial too so Iβd be apprehensive about trying it.
Funny enough, I found that Kava is mildly helpful as an anti-inflammatory even though it supposedly also has anti-microbial properties.
Surely to god there has to be a substance that just reduces inflammation and doesnβt mess with gut flora?
Hope its ok to post this. A research paper on nano silver against the virus from 22 May 2021.

The AgNP's were in the form of nasal sprays and mouthwash. Personally I breath thru a nebulizer.

I have a couple of them and hate them so much. The smell never leaves. The cotton ones might stay damper for a bit longer when you're working out but they seem way better. Is this something you all have noticed too?
I had a horrible experience with anti microbials and thinking of doing antibiotics but I only tested on a GI map not a doctor test
