A list of puns related to "Beeswax wrap"
Could you share it please? Iβm looking for a sticky recipe that doesnβt leave smell or taste on the food, and that wonβt leave much of a sticky residue on hands and bowls. Thanks!
Hi,
I've been looking for a cruelty free reusable option, any ideas?
I really like the idea of having reusable food wrap, thing is it is so dang expensive.. I bought some to try and it was like &20 for 3 wraps. A bit of comparison shopping shows that this is pretty much what everyone charges.
I found a tutorial online to make my own, but itβs a lot of work and im concerned that it will end up as an unfinished project just because I donβt know if Iβll have time to babysit a very finicky process.
It definitely works out cheaper to make my own in terms of how many i can make vs how many iβd get pre-made, so im kinda stumped.
Has anyone made their own, and how involved is the process? Or has anyone got a link to some cheaper ready made ones?
A fun and eco friendly gift option :)

My wife and I are trying to make beeswax wraps and with our current recipe
1/2 Cup bees wax pellets 4 Tbsp pine gum resin 2 Tbsp jojoba oil
When we iron our fabrics it seems one side gets all the wax (not sure if that's normal as we bought beeswrap before and those aren't waxy and yet still stiff and sticky) it's very prevalent the wax is on ours and we're not sure if this is normal or not or how you treat it. We tried ironing one of our waxier ones with a fresh piece of fabric but both just came out....limp and bad.
Tips and tricks appreciated
I got as a christmas present some Beeswax Warps. They are truly awesome. I don't need to buy cling wrap or foil, it keeps stuff fresh for longer and keeps its shape so you don't crush what you are keeping. You can wash it and fold it and you feel like a Medieval Traveler when you use it to wrap sandwiches.
Accidentally washed a beeswax wrap cloth with our cloth diapers and now they seem to repel water. Did we ruin them, or is there a way to clean it out?
Iβve been thinking about replacing all my plastic wrap and bags with beeswax wrap, but Iβm curious what othersβ experiences have been and if you think itβs worth it. Does it work well as a replacement? How long does it last?
My mom purchased these 100% cotton queen fitted-sheets maybe 15-20 years ago and they ripped right down the middle in the washer. I definitely could have salvaged it if I really wanted, but they were pretty threadbare. So I cut sheets into varying squares and rectangles and then washed them again with just hot water. Then I bought some beeswax from a local college beekeeping club, ordered some pine resin, and got out the jojoba oil. It took two days with all the scraps of fabric but Iβll be gifting the beeswax wrap out to neighbors and friends. The elastic from the fitted sheet was surprisingly good too so I might use them to make some scrunchies.
Downside is that I gotta get new sheets soon and thatβs a bit overwhelming with all the options. But definitely will be sticking to natural fibers again.
Happy Saturday Everyone!

Hi, I am looking into to the cost side of beeswax wraps as I think they could be a great solution plastic ones. I yet see that their initial cost is way higher. Just to be clear I am not talking about the ones that you make yourself. Could someone share their thoughts about long-term costs when more consumers would use them (economies of scale, scope, ..)?
Thank you!
I made some beeswax wraps and I'm not sure if I did them right. What's the texture supposed to be? How thick should the wax be? I might have used too much wax, there's some strange wax gaps going on and I'm not sure if I need more or less wax next.
Do you think pine resin is safe for food contact? I plan to make beeswax wrap with resin but I'm kinda unsure about it. Though the beeswax wraps I make are not that tacky without the resin. Your thoughts?
... This may seem silly but I never really thought about it before. Can you use wax wrap in place of freezer paper to keep solid foods like pastries/etc from getting freezer burn?
I don't have any, because I use other things for the typical uses and I worry about not being able to easily wash them, but one thing I absolutely want to do is separate, say, pastries or servings of cooked grains in a container or bag so I can more easily extract them from the freezer. Would the wraps work for this?
Hi All.
Noob here.
I've made a hard cheese and I'm wanting to bandage and also try and up the humidity. So, two questions:
Can I use beeswax wraps to bandage? Can I use that without using lard etc?
Could I use a cake tin to store it in, with a little bit of wet paper to up the humidity? I just don't have a plastic airtight container the right size.
Thanks in advance!

Welcome back! My pollen allergies know no bounds this week, but weβve still gotta get to it. What weβre discussing today: Bidenβs first address to his pals in Congress, a chaotic βBachelorβ franchise update and Queen Elizabethβs golden Wii.
