Quercetin is the safest, most effective OTC antiviral. It is a 3CL protease inhibitor, like the new Pfizer pill, except it's 100% safe and also is an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, zinc ionophore, and thromin-inhibiting agent. Why is CDC/Fauci still only recommending Tylenol for at-home treatment?

Panamanian white-faced capuchins are known to rub parts of certain plants as well as ants and millipedes into their hair, though the reasons are not entirely clear. While this activity appears to serve a social function, it may also deter biting insects or work as an anti-inflammatory agent. v.redd.it/ybw4gzchwai71

What are functions of anti-inflammatory agents in plants?

Hello!
I was wondering what are the functions for plants of compounds/secondary metabolites labelled as "anti-inflammatory" for humans/other animals?
Do any plants get acute/chronic inflammation? If not, are many of these compounds - that just happen to potentially have anti-inflammatory effects in animals - used primarily as anti-oxidants in plants?

*I'm not well-versed in biochemistry, mostly just a curious learner and gardener. :)

Anti-inflammatory agents may reduce symptoms of major depression, suggests a new study (n=1,610), which adds to the mounting evidence that there is a connection between emotional functioning and inflammation, suggesting that inflammation may trigger depression, almost like an allergic reaction. psychologytoday.com/au/bl…

This might be a stupid question, so don't gut me please, but is the use of Aspirin a reliable anti inflammatory agent for the brain?

Anyone has any input for short term or long term use?
