If you've been in the Healer section of the ffxiv forum recently, lurked in any of the high-end discord servers, or talked to a high-end healer in the last few years, you've probably heard about the Healer Problem. But for those who don't know, healers have a problem. Healer mains are, across the board, unsatisfied with the current state of the healers. Complaints generally stem from how the healers FEEL to play (I want to stress here that these complaints are NOT about healer viability, balance, or power. This issue is completely unrelated to how strong or weak healers are in any form of content.)
In this article I will attempt to summarize the general concerns held by many High-end players in a manner comprehensible for new players or those unfamiliar with final fantasy 14, there is a glossary included at the end of this post containing contextual information and explanation for terms or concepts that might be unfamiliar to non-high-end players of final fantasy 14. These will by marked by an asterisk (*) the first time they appear.
So, what's the problem? In summary, and in general, a large subset of the player base finds healer gameplay unsatisfying and unrewarding. The cited reasons vary, but the common ones are:
Healer kits are inflated with healing abilities, the vast majority of content does not require the use of even half of the heals a single healer has at their disposal when they exercise proper resource rationing. There is no content in the game that requires a healer's whole kit when dps* and healing is optimized outside of solo-healing ultimates*. (For the uninformed, UCOB, or Unending Coil of Bahamut, can be healed by a single diurnal astrologian and has been done by 8 tanks.)
Raids and Trials are often described as 'scripted' this is in reference to when they deal damage to the party, how much damage is dealt, what mechanics happen, and when those mechanics happen. This is fine in isolation, but further compounds the issue of healer kits having much more healing than is required because in many cases a healer will know what is going to happen and when, allowing them to heal only as much as is required to keep the party alive and to use regens* and shields* to reduce or even outright remove the need to use gcd* healing and/or large burst heals. There is only one type of content in the game where damage is unscripted (and only technically), that being Dungeons, which do not require enough healing for this to matter in most cases.

With convergence of prototype and GT3 regulations around the world, the 2022 Rolex 24 at Daytona is looking to have one of its biggest and deepest fields since the unification of Grand-Am and the American Le Mans Series. A capacity crowd of about sixty cars is expected to be on track at the end of the month, and that means an incredible number of seats will be filled by some of motorsports' biggest stars and weekend warriors, including dozens of drivers who have visited or made their home in the top ranks of American open wheel racing, be it IndyCar, CART, or ChampCar, as well as multiple 2022 rookie of the year hopefuls. You'll see plenty of your usual suspects, some young guns making their Rolex debuts, and even some deep cuts you maybe forgot have raced in an Indy car at some point.
With an open wheel class as deep as it often has been, there was no shortage of celebration for Indy car fans in 2021's running. Wayne Taylor's Daytona Prototype International (DPi) team conquered the high banks yet again and got Alexander Rossi and Helio Castroneves their first watches before Castroneves brought the house down at Indy for his fourth 500 title. ChampCar alum Ryan Dalziel helped the always colorful Era Motorsports earn top honors in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class, and Spencer Pigot and Oliver Askew scored one for the young guns in the LMP3s' 24 hour debut. While there was no such luck in the swan song for the GT Le Mans category nor GT Daytona's (GTD) last season as a strictly pro-am discipline, the new GT3 rules have made it more inviting for factory and independent teams to run against each other, as the new GT Daytona Pro (GTP) class will augment the popular pro-am lineup.
As always, the maximum entry list for teams is dictated by the cars entered for the Roar Before the 24 test sessions earlier in the month. With concerns of the COVID-19 pandemic still in mind, driver changes may very well occur between the Roar and the race weekend proper. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.

For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
