A list of puns related to "Alcoholic Beverage Labeling Act"
Pretty weird question but it could possible change my life
Iβd love to learn about how you were able to get into this specialty.
I know alcohol should be consumed in moderation but I was wondering if anyone found a drink that keeps their calories low? My go to drink has always been vodka lemonade and I've found Bacardi Limon is low in calories and planned to mix it with water and a lemon slice. Any thoughts?
I get so annoyed that cocktails have such a stigma towards them. Especially towards men. I'm a large guy, over 6ft tall, very broad, rugby player build, bearded etc.. I'm gay but definitely don't come across as gay naturally (not that being gay has anything to do with cocktails... maybe half of that tho).
I love a good beer... but beers don't hit the same when it's not summer. What i'd love to have would be a great Long Island Ice Tea, Margarita, Caipirinha or Mojito, anything to that calibre... But the last time i had any of those, i didn't live it down for months. I thought this was just my crappy friend groups but i discussed this at my work place and we've come to similar agreements. We'd love to have a cocktail without an onslaught of comments or judgement... Alcohol is alcohol, regardless of how it comes.
EDIT: Jesus, some cocktail haters just going down the post downvoting everyone lol
Letβs say you were stranded on a tiny barren island without any food or water sources. The only thing you can find is a pirateβs enormous hidden stash of rum. The rum would definitely provide enough calories for you to live of it quite some time. But Iβm sure the alcohol would dehydrate you more than the water it contains could make up for and youβd die of thirst after a few days.
But now lets say the stash contains wine instead of rum. Or even better, beer. Would wine contain enough water to offset the dehydration from the alcohol? Would beer?
And if so, how long would you be able to survive off wine/beer alone, before dying from malnutrition?
In Switzerland, that's certaily Rivella, second only to Coca-Cola.
It is produced from milk whay, and therefore includes ingredients such as lactose, lactic acid and minerals.
It's produced since 1952, initially conceived to produce a beer made with whey to create a soft drink.
Hops
I canβt tell you how many times I have been out with friends to a bar or a club and just craved a nice comforting delicious cup of hot coco or honestly even a cappuccino. Most coffee shops are closed by 5-6 PM, and every time Iβm at a bar and I ask the bartender if they have hot chocolate- they look at me like Iβm crazy.
Donβt get me wrong. I like going out every once in a while with my friends or colleagues, and I love accompanying them to bars or clubs. I enjoy the social aspect of it, and I also love dancing. But I rarely want to get hammered or buy an overpriced alcoholic drink that I donβt particularly enjoy the taste of or just pay the same amount for a non alcoholic version (or what is effectively juice). Especially when itβs like evening time, and I just want to unwind without necessarily inebriating myself. And a nice warm beverage almost always hits the spot..
I would so much rather be able to have comforting cup of hot chocolate or even a mocha latte before I hit the dance floor, or just sip something warm and comforting in the evening while I engage in conversation with my pals before I head home.
I genuinely hate how bars/clubs only serve alcoholic drinks or cold juices and how wanting to have the option to drink coffee/hot chocolate makes me a weirdo.
So I quit drinking after a NYE fiasco, 2 days in and feeling pretty good. I've been replacing my nightly beers with ginger beers. I found a couple okay options, but one is super sugary and the other has an intense bite to it.
Any suggestions for non-alcoholic beverages that are not loaded with sugar or not too watered down?
Just trying to replace the ritual with something sort of similar!
Edit: thank you all for your suggestions! Money is a bit tight right now but I'll definitely try some of these out!
Hey folks! Many of us are doing Dry January (or maybe booze-free forever). Just wanting some recommendations for breweries, bars, and other spots that make or serve good Non-alcoholic beer, mocktails, and others.
I know Urban Farm Fermentory is great, and I saw there's a new NA Beer brewery that opened up called Kitna Brewing, but not sure if they are quite open yet. Please share others you may know of!
This is in Northern California, a local establishment just got a 15 day suspension and I asked about it in my local subreddit. Someone said that they heard from the people at the establishment that ABC is going around using fake IDs and fining bars that don't catch it for $10,000 and a suspension.
Could this be true? I have never heard of ABC trying to use fakes.
Okay so Iβm assuming itβs a given that hard liquor (~40% ABV) would have a net negative effect on oneβs hydration. But surely an alcoholic beverage with like, 3.5% ABV would still have a net positive effect on hydration, right? Or am I wrong?
Wine usually has around a 12-15% ABV. I could see that going either way.
Does anyone know of any reliable evidence that points towards a specific ABV percentage threshold? I actually donβt drink but Iβve been curious about this for a while, and there seems to be a lot of misinformation surrounding what beverages are hydrating vs. dehydrating. For example, I keep seeing people say that coffee is dehydrating, and although caffeine has a mild diuretic effect, I just canβt see that being true.
Thank you for your time.
now my character is a severe alcoholic had to cure myself 3 times lol
