The surrogacy company the Baldwins allegedly used for Marilou, β€œAlcea Surrogacy,” is downright scary in how they try and recruit millennial women to become surrogates. They are literally pitching surrogacy as a career.

Interesting who the celebs are that Alcea Surrogacy follow…

I saw a post earlier with a photo from Alcea Surrogacy congratulating couple H and M on their baby. So I decided to do a little digging and realized they follow only a handful of celebrities.

The celebrities are Jimmy Fallon, Gabrielle Union, Drew Barrymore, and Hilaria Baldwin. Both Fallon and Union had babies via surrogacy. Jimmy Fallon met his wife via Drew Barrymore.

I just think it’s interesting. Sorry this is my first post here so forgive me if it’s no good!

Article about Angela from Alcea when she was still a surrogate

Repost: Angela Mook’s life as a surrogate - couldn’t find it by just googling for her name - there was probably some online tidying up.

Written by Swiss journalist Yvonne Eisenring. Apologies for the Google-translate English.

Here’s the original article:

THE LUCK CHARM Text Yvonne Eisenring Photos Katherine Squier

Good bourgeois: In this respectable neighborhood Angela Mook lives with her family. Angela Mook gave birth to five children as a surrogate mother, three of them to a gay couple. She lives in conservative Texas and her family is strictly religious. Portrait of a woman who really believes in what she is doing. Angela Mook saw the call for surrogates in a newspaper. She has been giving birth to children for others for eight years. The birth was quick. As always. The baby was there in less than two hours. Angela Mook is relieved. And proud. She did her job well. The child is healthy. It's a girl. What is it supposed to be called? The nurses ask. Angela Mook shakes her head. You don't know. Not yet. It is not her child, but the parents are out and about. She has said that five times. She has already given birth to a child for a strange couple five times.

"I make other people's dreams come true," says Angela Mook. And she herself feels proud and happy when she can help others with such an important cause. Children mean everything to her. She has three sons of her own. Joel, Logan and Jordan. Fifteen, twelve and nine years old. She is only 35 herself and is often estimated to be younger. She dresses youthfully, hardly uses make-up. A surrogate mother is thought to be a lot, but not a woman like Angela Mook. She is one of those people that everyone likes. If she were to take part in a film, she would have the role of the good sister, the best friend, the uncomplicated work colleague. She is pleasantly calm in conversation. She never gives her counterpart the feeling that a question is misplaced or too intimate. She is happy about the interest and feels flattered. Angela tells in a bright voice and in a bubbly way, like a student who has prepared her presentation well and is happy to finally show what she can do. She speaks so fast that she swallows half of the words. And she always smiles at the end of the sentence. Her favorite words are β€œfun” and β€œeasy”, everything seems child's play. Being a surrogate mother

Alcea Surrogacy - They left out two further kids the founder carried !!!

Edit: It actually mentions the total figure of surrogacies on the Alcea website. Thank you, Neo!

The Alcea founder Angela Mook has a a profile on her company’s page which cites an old article and which says she carried three children as a surrogate (up until 2012).

In the Swiss journal article by Yvonne Eisenring it is mentioned she carried 5 children altogether as a surrogate. 3 for a gay couple and two for two hetero-couples over the course of 8 years. I couldn’t see the date published, but it must have been well after 2012. People in NY like to book her, it seems.

Why is it not mentioned on the profile of her new business, founded in March last year??? They omitted the info. Could it be that it one of the two hetero-couples were Alec and Hil. The Swiss article said that Angela miscarried once and then gave birth to a girl in autumn (no year apparent), to a couple who miscarried 6 times.

Tea time about the founder of Alcea Surrogacy, Angela Richardson Mook

So since u/quetedigo has brought the unethical surrogacy conversation back up in the main sub I thought I'd share something weird that happened the night Hilaria's new baby was announced.

The sub was obviously buzzing from the news and there were so many new posts coming in at once so I made a post asking if anyone was interested in doing a zoom call. In the post I said, "please use aliases but also don't sit on the call without saying anything because I will just assume you are Alec trying to punch me through the computer." The post was up for maybe 30-40 minutes before I deleted it and on the call it was me and a few others who were regular members of the sub. Then a user joined but was silent, I asked if they could say something a few times but they wouldn't say anything. I gave them about 5 or so minutes in case they were having technical difficulties and then just removed them.

I didn't think much of it but then a few days later I was checking my email and you know how zoom will send you an email to let you know who joined your call? The silent breather on the phone was none other than the founder of Alcea Surrogacy, Angela Richardson Mook!

Well now as a founder of a new surrogacy agency you would think she would be too busy to join a zoom call of some random "hater" of one of her clients on reddit. Unless of course Angela and Hilary's relationship is deeper than we think. That or the agency is shadier than we think (if that's even possible) and she was scared of being exposed.

Angela mentioned on the mombrain podcast that part of her "experience" in the surrogacy world was being a surrogate 6 times and that she also donated two of her eggs. Two of the surrogacies she said were for "a high profile couple." Now how many celebrities do you think she really knows aside from Hilary? We all know that there were speculations that Hilary used a surrogate in the past with her fake perfectly circular pregnancy bump photos so I think Angela carried two of Hilary's other kids and when she couldn't physically do it anymore, Hilary helped her start Alcea (which sounds a lot like Alec) so she could doordash more babies.

What if Hilaria is the cofounder of Alcea Surrogacy?

Was just thinking, their website doesn’t mention anywhere who the other founder is. Pretty much all of Hilaria sponsors dropped her or were silent after this mess (even her best friend Daphne Oz hasn’t said a word) but the only one that said something supportive was waxalene and we know that Hilaria is involved with them. She also promoted Alcea on her podcast.

Even if Alcea made a contract with her early last year before knowing this would all blow up in December wouldn’t they have the common sense not to post something (even if it was just for a second) that would connect them to Hilaria’s sinking ship? Do you think somewhere in Hilaria’s delusional mind she thought β€œoh well who cares I’ll never admit I’m not Spanish because I can still make money off Alcea and Waxalene”

Or do you think Alcea posting that announcement was just them being really dumb?
