A list of puns related to "Abkco"
Hard edit:
Exciting news! LRG staff updated with a reply below.
"Greetings, I bring unto you, tidings of clarification!
At this time we have received the cassettes, the KO Editions themselves are in transit and upon arrival will go through final assembly. We appreciate everyone's patience as we enter the home stretch, it will be well worth the wait!"
...
"At this time, the vinyls have not completed manufacturing. The cassettes have completed manufacturing and have been received by us for the final kitting process of the KO Editions so that those can be completed and shipped."
I will update this post with any additional information I receive. Updated with staff reply from post below.
Has anyone received their records or a update on release date? I contacted them and from the responses I'd assume they don't even know whether I have a order or not since the responses are so vague. Any assurance that my records are still coming would be appreciated.
Just in time too. My life was getting too normal.
So 150$ for 4 Vinyls and a poster? (Vinyls are around 20$ so 4*20$=80$, 70$ for a poster and a sketch..?)
The set does not include a download code or the soundtrack on CDs? Most people don't have a record player anymore, so how are we supposed to listen to the new songs?
The shipping rates are also insane (would be 50$ in my case, that's a third of the vinyls...) and they do NOT include customs/duties. (I have ordered bigger packages from smaller companies and they were way cheaper!)
You can't just cancel your order, you have to write them an e-mail and HOPE that they will cancel the order and you get your money back.
They also don't say which company they use for shipping.
(Plus you are charged immediately although they only ship on end of march, I get charging beforehand because they need to be sure to have material costs covered).
Was hoping it would ship or arrive on release day.

Abkco said they are working with arrow, but the inside design and content seem a bit different. Which one do you prefer?
I pre-ordered the boxset a while back and just happened to go on the page for it on the ABKCO website yesterday and saw it now says itβll be shipping on September 18, instead of August 21. I havenβt received any email from ABKCO saying itβs been delayed, but I donβt know if they would normally do that.

Hey everyone!
I was religiously checking their Twitter when the first announce came out about the rerelease of the soundtracks. I've not seen anything recently and wasnt sure if maybe I had missed something. Has anyone seen anything on this, since the initial post?

I find it amazing that the Stones still don't control their 60s output. I'd rather they be the ones who get final say on deluxe re-issues and such. I'm sure they would too. What about live albums. Does ABKCO get a piece of it every time they put out a new live album? Just curious.
I always thought Decca owns anything from 1964 to 1969, and RS Records anything from 1970 and onwards.
But in 2000s, ABKCO seems to have been releasing everything from any period. That made me think ABKCO owns everything now, but no, Rolling Stones is releasing a box set from 1971 to 2016.
Been looking, and seems the links are dead.
"[Allen] Klein came to London with the sole objective of closing the deal, and having had an unsuccessful meeting with Paul in the morning, he left for Heathrow to return home to New York. Paul and I were working together in Olympic that afternoon, and there was a noticeable sense of relief when he heard that Klein had left for the airport. However, Klein had second thoughts about leaving and decided to have one more attempt at changing Paulβs mind face-to-face. Unannounced, Klein walked into the studio, and very quickly it became apparent that as voices were raised a private conversation was taking place. I turned off all the mics in the room and left them to it. The control room of a studio is isolated from the recording room where the musicians play, but even all that acoustic treatment was not enough to prevent me hearing Paul McCartney defend himself against Allen Kleinβs attempt at bullying him into submission. It was extremely unpleasant to witness."
