We have nice snipers now, with Fate Cries Foul and The Long Goodbye, but we have no Agressive energy snipers in Forsaken and I want one to make my Ace of Spades a friend.
I'm used to the Warlock armor being all recovery or mobility so while I would also like resil armor for locks, I won't get greedy
Prices aside, I think some of the FoF skins are pretty neat and I think Wattson mains, regardless of their price-opinions, found her skin to be "meh". I think it'll be great if their saving a new legendary for Christmas.

The gift is in the “Aid” tab. It cannot be sold in a vendor. It can be stored in the stash. It weighs .01. It can be dropped. Not sure yet if it can be traded. It contained sugar bombs and coal haha.

Thanks to u/EggrFegegr “There's a new section in the tinker's workbench called gifts. You need 1 paper gift and 2 adhesive to craft them. When you craft one it goes to your aid tab (to open a gift you just need to use it like an aid item). Haven't found any Holiday Scorched yet, but I suppose the gifts they drop work exactly the same”

It would be a fun idea if the legendary character events all happened at the same time during Christmas break. Do year 1 one week and year 2 the other.
This is something that would make everyone happy AND panic spend at the same time.
I know this has been posted about before, but let's uptick this post and hopefully get Epic to consider changing that great pickaxe back to Legendary. It really would be fitting for the only (or at least first) legendary pickaxe to be this one. In the past year I've not only grinded out every battlepass, but also grinded out plankerton, canny, and peaks and I got to say earning and swinging that legendary pickaxe felt so good. I had it for about a month before it downgraded. The grind was a blast, the game is probably the most fun it's ever been, be proud of that pickaxe, I know I am. That's my Fortnite Christmas wish.
So a new Legendary Hero is coming up, and the trailer will be released either today or tomorrow (most likely tomorrow). So, naturally, I've started analyzing everything I can in order to predict the most likely units, the kinds of builds they might have, what they'll do with the designs, et cetera. This is normally really exciting for me, and the entire reason I even came to this sub is because I love talking about the various possibilities and seeing what could happen, and what we get. Except one thing keeps coming up: More than half of the possibilities I come up with, including some of the ones I want the most, would just cause yet another saltstorm on the sub. Out of 11 "inevitable" characters, only four of them are considered "acceptable" around here, and even those ones will cause a riot if they're released in certain forms. Even though I'd normally be happy with pretty much any of them, I find myself discarding most of my ideas and thinking, "I hope we don't get this, because I don't want to have to deal with it. Especially so soon after Christmas, where I'm supposed to be spending time enjoying what I have."
I know some people are going to say, "Just ignore the complainers," but it's not so simple. As I said, I come here because I need someplace to share the joy and talk (positively) about the possibilities, and I know I'm not the only one like that. But when things get particularly salty, people don't just rain on others' parade, they actively get in the way. I saw a lot of people who were really excited for the Adrift banner, but any attempt at positive discussion was derailed by complaints and buried in downvotes, including any thread someone tried to make that was supposed to be for only the happy people to post in. I even remember sorting by new and seeing this amazing artwork of Adrift Camilla on the third page that was sitting at like 53 points, with only a 68% upvote percentage. This kept it from ever leaving "new" and even being seen by the people it was made for. Imagine putting that much work into something you're passionate about, and then having it buried because people hate what you love. I've experienced more than my fair share of that, and it's awful. It's why I haven't even made a thread detailing my predictions this month.
So here's my heartfelt request for this sub: Let's promise to go into this one banner with the mindset that someone wants the unit that's going to be revealed, and they deserve to enjoy their

Hey guys! Orb guy is back, and with this new event calendar, it looks like we'll be blessed with more orbs than usual this month. I created the calendar again this month so you guys can save it for future reference, but be sure to check in with this post when the New Year's Celebration is revealed! I'm basing my numbers off of what we got last year, but it's likely it'll be different (and perhaps more generous) this year.
This post will be split up into 6 sections:
- the remainder of Hero Fest (4 days)
- the duration of the Christmas banner leading up to the Legendary banner (10 days)
- the duration of the Legendary banner leading up to the New Year banner (4 days)
- the beginning of the New Year banner to the end of the Legendary banner (7 days)
- the duration of the New Year banner leading up to the Radiant Dawn banner (3 days)
- the first day of the Radiant Dawn (1 day)

That's 29 days! A little under a month, and yet the orb total this month is more than usual. Also, just so we're clear, the dates listed in this count are a day ahead of those listed on the event calendar, and that's because the event calendar is in PST (where the daily reset is at 11PM), and so for most of us, the listed dates are a day earlier than the real dates.

I'm really excited to finally get to play this. I hoped to get this for Christmas, and had read ahead of time about how much sorting is necessary, so thanks to BGG, I was able to get that taken care of without too much fuss. Then I got busy for the rest of the week, and got my sleeves in two nights ago. I decided to go ahead and get everything sleeved before playing my first game.
I was going to play with my teenage son, who is also really excited to play, but he woke up with the flu and can barely move, so it looks like I'll have a run-though on my own before he's ready to play co-op.
Anyway, I'm really excited about having this in my collection, and can't wait to get started once some housework is done. If this game is as good as I suspect it will be for me, it may end up being up there with Space Hulk as one of my all-time favorite games.
