A list of puns related to "Zach Avery"
This is by far one of the craziest +/- I've seen. Lowe mentioned it in his most recent podcast talking about the Lakers. Bradley has looked really washed out there, but I didn't know it was this bad. I expect him to be waived around trade deadline. (It's around 1.00:00 mark)
He also talked about how the LeBron-Ad-Russ three-man lineup numbers look promising for the Lakers. (Around 43:00 mark)
> In 116 minutes, with the Big 3 and no center on the floor, the Lakers are +16, 113 points per 100 and 107.7 points allowed.
Not earth-shattering, but encouraging. I think this 3-man lineup has a lot of room for improvement if they keep playing together. I'm wondering how the team will look like 10 games later.

essentially would you rather have a 22-year-old with the potential to average over 20 PPG, or the best defensive shooting guard in the league (26-years-old) who has never averaged over 16 PPG?
This is the bit about Bradley:
>AVERY BRADLEY, KNOCKDOWN SHOOTER
>I was an Avery Bradley skeptic: He's short for his position, he can't really dribble, and he loves long 2s. Just another overblown Boston athlete.
>Bradley has worked his butt off and proven us wrong. He's a knockdown shooter now from all over the place: 49 percent on corner 3s, 41 percent on longer triples, 45 percent on those dreaded long 2s, and a ridiculous 55 percent on tricky shots between 10 and 16 feet from the rim, per Basketball-Reference.
>He still succumbs to the siren song of long pull-up 2s, but he hits enough that they represent a perfectly fine outcome for Boston -- especially late on the shot clock. He has canned 44 percent of his pull-up jumpers, the 5th-best mark among the 60 players who jack at least four such shots per game. (The four ahead of him: DeMar DeRozan, C.J. McCollum, George Hill, Nick Young.)
>He's snaring boards at by far a career-best rate, and Boston needs all the gang rebounding it can get.
>Bradley still isn't much of a pick-and-roll orchestrator, but he's become one helluva NBA player -- and a borderline elite shooter. Good for him.

I think we can all agree with Zach. Avery has really worked hard to improve every year. He deserves some love for it.

There have been rumors of a possible expansion, so letβs imagine it does happen, but the NBA decides to only add one new team to the league (sorry Vegas), bringing back the beloved Seattle Supersonics. The Sonics are back babbyyyyyyyy!
Now the Sonics need to build their team from ground up, starting with the expansion draft, and following it with signing players in the off-season.
Here are some simplified terms of the expansion draft:

Philadelphia Eagles (9-8) at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers(11-6) |
---|
The Eagles defied the odds and clinched a playoff spot in week 17 when they completed their sweep of the Washington βWho cares what they are calledβ. The Eagles took care of business down the stretch knocking off a number of lowly teams to get to 9 wins and be able to rest key starters in week 18. They set up a meeting with their old friend Tom Brady and his Buccaneers down in Tampa for Wildcard Weekend. The Bucs easily took care of the Panthers in week 18 to secure the number two seed. While the game will be down in the Sunshine State, the weather looks to be anything, but sunny. The weather forecast is calling for rain and wind gusts between 20-30 mph which could favor the Eagles and their top ranked rush offense. But running against the Bucs big DL will be no easy task. Vita Vea has a huge size advantage over Kelce who he will most likely be lining up over in a 0 technique and while Ndamukong Suh is not the All-Pro he once was he is still a big body that can clog up the run game. If the Bucs sell out to stop the run it could be on Hurts to try to win it with his arm which could be difficult, especially with the weather. The Bucs have two guys they can match up on Goedert in Antoine Winfield Jr. and Lavonte David and they will get some pass rush help back with the return of JPP. Hurts will need to rely on his young WRs more to get open and quick. On the other side, Brady beat the Eagles with quick short throws earlier this season in a game where he was without Gronk, but while Gronk is back Brady has lost one of his favorite WRs Chris Godwin to an ACL tear and lost Antonio Brown to being crazy and probably running on the side of the road shirtless somewhere. With limited weapons the Eagles need to shutdown Evans with Slay and bracket Gronk. Playing tight with the predicted weather should help the Eagles slow down the Bucs passing attack, but they will still need to worry about the run game and Leonard Fournette who had two TDs against them in week 6. Should be an interesting matchup in the rain and the Eagles will make it really interesting if they can win the battle in the trenches. Go Birds! |

The instructions for the successful defense of the Tartarus mall are sure and simple.
First things first, βTartarusβ ainβt actually the mallβs name. Thatβs just what I call the place on account of the store I have to guard. I wonβt tell you the mallβs proper name for security reasons. But yeah, so one of the stores in the mall is called βTartarusβ, and this store is perpetually closed. Iβve never seen it open. A metal sheet lives across its door and its window displays are always empty. Boarded-up, even.
The instructions, to put them simply, are as follows:
1: Watch Tartarus.
2: Donβt let anyone in.
3: Donβt let anyone out.
Boom.
I work the shift from 8pm to 4am, Monday to Friday.
Gets pretty damned boring. Mall closes at 9. Last staff are out by 9:20. And then itβs just me. Just myself, a gruff and relatively miserable late-middle aged man all alone in this mall.
Thereβs five other men like me. Or hell, some could be women, I guess.
Two of them do the weekend, I hear. The other two do weekdays. One works 4am to 12 noon, and the other from noon to 8pm.
Weβre not supposed to meet each other.
That being said. Iβm pretty sure I bumped into the guy who works the noon to 8pm shift once. He just had this look about him. Twenty or so years younger than myself, I should think, hard to tell since he was wearing a mask, but heβd seen some shit. You can see it in their eyes. He nodded at me as I passed him by. Seemed to realize he was running late. Could have just been a stranger I guess, ex-military or something, but I donβt know. Just had a feelinβ.
Iβm working right now, in fact. Itβs a typically dead and quiet night.
The moon is out, and its light shines through the purple-tinted glass of the roof, washing the vast, open plan of the mall in a pleasant, dreamlike violet.
I glance over to Tartarus.
The metal sheet-door sits resolutely in place. The windows are dark and dead.
β¦You can hear stuff coming through, sometimes. Whispers and mutterings.
β¦On some nights the metal rattles. Those nights ainβt fun.
I take a sip of my coffee and lean back in my chair. I say βmyβ chair. Itβs one of the mallβs massage chairs. It isnβt turned on, but itβs still comfy.
As I try to relax, the music in one of my headphones starts cutting in and out. I grumble in frustration and pluck the bud from my ear to fiddle with it. Damned things. I need new ones really, but I wouldnβt hav
