Does anyone have any recommendations for a Japanese language school for part time, once or twice a week, weekday evenings or weekends? Preferably in Yokohama or Kawasaki area. I want to work on my conversation skills.
The rules say I should use standard written Taiwanese, but I instead only know a pidgin that I picked up in the Pacific as a kid. Is that something that the moderators would remove? Would anybody like to converse with me in such? Itβs mainly bastardized Japanese, however, with a smaller amount of Taiwanese and Mandarin words, so I would probably want to use Han characters to be more comprehensible.
A backstory is needed, I have a relatively unique and lucky situation. Iβm half Japanese and I have family in Japan that I can live with. My uncle is also a farmer and I can live with him and make money while Iβm there. I was set on going to a language school but it didnβt make much sense to me to pay thousands of dollars when I have everything I need to learn the language myself. I have a gap year for school where Iβm solely focused on living in Japan, learning Japanese, and being with my family. I think I can do it Iβm more just concerned about not having anyone to talk to that I can relate to. You know as a student at a language school you kinda bond with other students over learning the language. Iβm just worried about being surrounded by textbooks, self teaching, and my family members for a whole year. Is there some kind of community for foreigners learning Japanese in the Tokyo/yokohama area that I can vibe with?

What an honest to god mess.
Canβt leave them on the ship as all will be infected over time and shipped to Japanese hospitals or other isolation places.
Canβt seem to get all the countries involved to come get their nationals.
So seems current answer is to live up to original quarantine end date (feb 19) and let all who test negative go free. Even though 88 more positives today. And even though it is likely impossible that all those going free will stay negative for long.
Can you imagine how the poor local Yokohama population feels? Where are these approx 1000 βwellβ passengers going to go? Will the airlines even allow them to fly (in Cambodia I think airlines are not allowing well westerdam people to fly because of ONE positive test. Can you imagine their reaction to these poor passengers!) Where will all the nationals end up if stranded.
