A list of puns related to "Year round school in the United States"
Is there any reason for schools in the USA to keep to the traditional schedule of a long summer break?
Wouldn't year round schooling with the same number of days off, just spread out more, be better for everyone?

This bill was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary which will consider it before sending it to the House floor for consideration.
So I've been riding my regular bike as my only form of transportation. But sometimes I just don't feel like manually hauling my arse to wherever.
I have a 7 mile round trip to work, shopping and everything else is about a 3 mile round trip. I will be using the ebike during the winter, and we have some cold snowy winters in Vermont. I already have my winter gear, from biking the last few years.
I've mostly decided on the Luna Wolf Alite Plus, at $2600 with the ludicrous and gear sensor upgrade. My budget is 3k, but i'm also getting a Thudbuster. Trying to make sure my reasoning is sound before I order in two weeks. Any suggestions or tips are greatly appreciated.

Title is the question. Iβm curious if every public school is currently closed nation wide
Today, my HS was put into lock down due to a threat from a former student saying he was going to βshoot up the school.β I thought our teachers did a great job handling it the situation. They made sure the students remained calm and safe throughout the process. We were in lock down for an hour and a half. Afterwards, there was complains from students acting immature during the lock down. There was about half of the middle school students(50, it is a tiny school, only about 300 students in the entire k-12 school, 100 in the HS) in the band room being LOUD. Pounding drums, talking with friends, or panicking thinking there was a active shooter in the school. This was not the only room like this, most rooms were some what crazy. This was due in large fact because students and teachers thought it was a drill. Apparently there had been a drill planned for today. After the lock down, we had a assembly where the superintendent told us what he could about what happened, answered questions and took suggestions. One of the suggestions was to have more drills, but I disagree. We have not had a lock down drill in four years. I think the reason this lock down didnβt go as well as it could have is because students and teachers thought it was a drill. What if we eliminate standard drills for lock down situations. Right now, there is not difference between a drill or a real lock down. This gets students too scared during a drill and not prepared enough for the real thing. Instead of doing normal drills, what if on the first day of every year, home room teachers go through with students what to do in a lock down situation. They could do a βsoft practiceβ room by room where the students know it is a drill. At the end, higher ups in the school could tell the students that there will NEVER be a lock down drill. This way, when the message goes over the intercom, students and teachers would know it was real and act accordingly.
Sorry this got long. Unfortunately, school lock down situations are becoming more and more common. This would help students and teachers be more prepared.
Thanks for reading. I want to end by thanking the teacher and administration at my school for doing a GREAT job keeping us safe.
