Kim Jong Kook bared his abs in a fun preview of next week’s episode of “My Ugly Duckling”!

On July 12, the SBS reality show aired a sneak peek of its upcoming episode, which will continue to follow Kim Jong Kook on his getaway with his friends. The latest broadcast featured the star taking off on a relaxing trip with his “Running Man” co-stars Yang Se Chan and Ji Suk Jin, as well as comedian Hwang Jae Sung.

In the new preview, Kim Jong Kook, Yang Se Chan, and Hwang Jae Sung bravely venture into the cold water for a refreshing outdoor swim. The men marvel at Kim Jong Kook’s toned physique as he takes off his shirt and prepares to dive in, with the video’s captions jokingly comparing him to his less slightly toned friends.

However, once the stars actually step into the water, it turns out to be a lot colder than they’d expected. Kim Jong Kook lets out a scream of pain as Yang Se Chan, who previously declared that “only men dare enter,” reasserts his manliness by dramatically yelling, “Men!”

Hwang Jae Sung suggests that they all fully dive under, leading Kim Jong Kook and Yang Se Chan to prank him by only pretending to dunk their heads in the water when he goes under—then hilariously acting like they’ve just been submerged once he resurfaces.

So about a month after finishing season 1, I started watching season 2 and when Dr. Do In-Bum came back I was like “I DONT REMEMBER HIM” then I looked him up in season 1 and I was “OH ITS HIM”

Then I was like “is that even the same actor??” looked that up and sure enough it was! I was like “HE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT”

Kim Jong Kook and Yang Se Chan will be working together in another variety show!

On December 12, it was reported that “Fly Shoot Dori” (literal title) began filming its new season. This show previously aired from 2005 to June 2014 and chronicled the adventures of a children’s soccer league.

“Fly Shoot Dori — New Beginning” will tell the story of Team Shoot Dori’s seventh league, made up of young soccer players with varying soccer skills. Children who are in need of friends will meet each other through soccer and grow together. The show recently gained attention after its alumni and third league member Lee Kang In became the rising star of the U-20 South Korean team. He led his team to the FIFA U-20 World Cup finals in June and he currently plays as a midfielder for Valencia CF.

Kim Jong Kook and Yang Se Chan have been confirmed as the show’s MCs. Kim Jong Kook is an original member of “Fly Shoot Dori” and a big fan of soccer. Yang Se Chan is reported to have joined the show thanks to Kim Jong Kook’s recommendation. The two became close after working together as cast members on SBS’s “Running Man” and will appear as friends and “uncles” to the children on this new show.

“Fly Shoot Dori — New Beginning” will air a prequel in mid-December with past footage of the first six leagues and messages of support from soccer players. The new season will premiere on January 7, 2020

Actor Yang Se-jong (Thirty But Seventeen, Temperature of Love) and Woo Do-hwan (The Great Seducer, Mad Dog) will be starring in new JTBC sageuk drama, My Country.

There isn’t a lot of information about the story yet, but it is said to be set in a tumultuous time in history and will center around three people who ultimately struggle to hold onto love.

The drama takes place between the end of the Goryeo Dynasty and the beginning of the Joseon Dynasty and is said to be a historical action drama. Yang Se Jong’s character, Seo Hwi, is the son of a general under Yi Seong-gye, the first king of Joseon. As the son of a fierce general who conquers the northern regions in the name of his king, Seo Hwi is uncompromising when it comes to injustice. However, he also stays cheerful in the face of a world that has gone to hell.

Woo Do-hwan plays the character of Nam Sun-ho. He excels in both scholarship as well as martial arts, and dreams of completing the military service examinations. However, he’s an illegitimate son born to a slave class woman and a noble man which means his path in life is rocky. When his father experiences a corruption scandal, Woo Do-hwan ultimately gives up on his dreams.

Writing for My Country is Chae Seung-dae, who was part of the writing team for Age of Feeling and Master-God of Noodle. Directing is Kim Jin-won o PD of Just Between Lovers, Wonderful Season and Nice Guy.

My Country is currently being planned to air in the latter half of 2019 on JTBC.

Yang Hyeon-Jong was close to Jose Lima, who was recruited by the Kia Tigers in 2008. He is the pitcher who won 20 games when he in the Houston Astros. Yang Hyeon-Jong learned a lot while being close to Jose Lima. In particular, Yang Hyeon-Jong had a impressive ball. but was not able to perform well due to his poor mentality, At that time, Jose Lima cheered him, "Be confident, because your ball is untouchable!" and Yang Hyeon-Jong became the ace of Kia Tigers from next season. At 2010 season, Jose Lima was died. and few months later, Yang Hyeon-Jong made his first shutout. At the interview, he paid tribute to Jose Lima. and he recording a save in the last game of the Korean Series as an ace in 17, He cry at the interview cause he thinking about Jose Lima with his friend Lee Doo-Hwan, who died of cancer. Hyeon Jong Yang is a different pitcher than fellow Asian starting pitcher signing Kohei Arihara is and quite frankly we shouldn't expect him to be like Arihara. What we can expect is that he should be a back end of the rotation type of guy. He's got lesser stuff than Arihara and more concerns with control and command of his pitches considering his previous track record before 2017. He also has a considerable amount of mileage on his arm at almost 2,000 innings pitched in the KBO. He's also a connection to former MLB All Star and colorful personality of whom we all miss Jose Lima. Yeah, they were teammates back in 2008 while Yang was a 20 year old trying to get his feet in the KBO. Lima was a great teammate for Yang and a role model as well. Ever since Lima passed away in 2010 Yang has written "Lima Time" underneath his cap as a way to remember his beloved teammate.

Yang has a fastball that tends to average 89-90 mph and he can reach 93-94. He also throws a change up and slider that both average 81 mph and a slower curveball that he occasionally throws (5%). It would certainly help to see if he can pick up some more velocity on his pitches while also easing up on his fastball use while throwing more changeups and sliders. Over the last four years Yang has pitched 733 2/3 IP with 622 strikeouts (7.6 K/9 or 19.7%) to 184 unintentional walks allowed (2.3 BB/9 or 5.8%). Based on his previous experience in the KBO and expected regression when he pitches I'm projecting a 7.3 K/9 (18.9%) due to the fact that hitters in the MLB are more concentrated on launch angle and the flyball revolution and of course that will mean more swings and misses that and he was getting more strikeouts in spring training than I was expecting. I imagine that I'm being rather bearish compared to the other projection systems which are expecting eight or nearly nine strikeouts per nine innings pitched. That to me sounds rather mind boggling since he's not that overpowering as a pitcher. I'm also expecting a 2.8 BB/9 (7.1%) as he's had higher walk rates in the KBO before 2017.

What pitchers compare to Yang's projection? Generally, it doesn't bode well overall but there are worse pitchers in terms of strikeout and walk rates. (Jordan Lyles last year anyone?) Best case scenario is similar to former AL CY Young award winner Dallas Keuchel who has a career 7.1 K/9 (18.9%) and 2.6 UBB/9 (6.9%) except Yang doesn't get that many groundballs. Ive been watching recent running man after not watching it for about 3 years. Im not disappointed with current members nor that I miss the old episode. The new members with whatever game they offer is somewhat fun as well.

However, the one that distinguish the most is the missing role/character Se Chan has.

YJS plays as the main MC, teaser, the main talker; JSJ plays as the weak, elderly, unlucky character; KJK plays as the strongest, strict member; SJY plays as the ace, luckiest member, thug moments while being girly; LKS plays as the dumb one, the brother that is bullied everytime, the unluckiest, the betrayer; Haha plays as the younger brother, childish character, pororo;

Btw, Im not saying that the character above is the true character each member has (LKS is not dumb). Its just roleplay that they have that makes the whole show interesting and fun.

Recent member, So Min, has also find her character in my opinion. She plays as this girl playboy, somewhat a bullied sister as well, unlucky member; I find it really fun and interesting merge with the old member characters.

For Se Chan, I dont really know what his character is. Even on one ep. where the member has to determine other member nickname to be shown in the website, they struggle on what to call Se Chan.

Some episode he plays as the dumb one but he seems to be hurt by it (the ep. Se chan vs haha). He is acknowledged as the funny face paint guy but the thing is that other member nail that role as well (yondu LKS, JSM, etc). He is funny however Im really hopeful he can find his role that instantly can be remembered when we say his name. Up to recently, I remember him as the member that hate english language.. 😆 It just needs to be stronger than that in my opinion.

Im hopeful to see more funny running man episode. Although LKS is leaving, there is more opportunity to explore :)
