In the beginning of Sister Location, William describes Circus Babyβs features to (What we can assume) a Fazbear Entertainment Supervisor. The Supervisor than cuts William off and says βWith all due respect, those arenβt the design choices we were curious about Mr. Aftonβ.
When with first saw this we assumed that this might have been an instance of Williamβs work being ignored by Fazbear Entertainment which would lead him down the path of insanity and killing kids. However, the shower thought I had gave me a new way to perceive the scene. I believe that Fazbear Entertainment may have discovered the Animatronic Blueprints we find later in the game or may have been called into investigating Circus Baby and when they discovered something off about the animatronic they proceeded to interrogate William and ask him about the βextra featuresβ. Because what kind of Pizzeria animatronic is designed to have a Child-Grabbing Claw built into them.
When they told Afton they were curious about the features he brought up Circus Babyβs other features a s way to gaslight/avoid the question which may have gotten him into more trouble. If this theory is accurate this means that Williamβs psycho behavior must have been active even Before his daughter was killed. This makes William a more complex character as well as one that's hard to pinpoint the exact moment he snapped and became the Man behind the Slaughter we know. Iβm not sure if Iβm the first person to suggest this but Iβm proud of myself either way for coming up with such a weird answer, What do you guys think?
I've just seen (and really enjoyed) the movie "King Richard," about the father of Venus and Serena Williams. I have a few questions:
1 - A central tension in the movie is Richard's decision to pull his daughters out of juniors matches to let them enjoy something more similar to a normal childhood (albeit one with hours of tennis practice every day) and focus on other aspects of their education. He does this over the strenuous protests of the coach. Who was right here? It's easy to say that with two of the greatest players of all time, every decision was the right one. But did he seriously risk their ability to stay competitive with their peers and eventually go pro?
2 - Richard also contradicts various coaches about the openness of his daughter's stances. Again, the movie doesn't seem to take a position on whether he was right or wrong. Are they known for the opeenness of their stances, and is this something Richard innovated?

This is something completely stupid and inconsequential, but I can't stop thinking about it.
Like, can you imagine the awkward conversation the two of them had?
William comes to Michael and says
"So son... Remember Elizabeth? Your little sister who disappeared a few years ago without a trace? So... I kind of know where she was all these years and I kind of caused it. Look, you know my animatronics company? So these animatronics in question were kind of used to kidnap kids for me... It was for a good reason! I swear! But anyway, it turns out I got careless and let Elizabeth get close to one of them... In my defense, I kept telling that brat not to approach the robots, but she didn't hear me! Anyway, I tried to get her out of the robot in time... But she was kind of... Dead... But don't worry! She hasn't really gone away yet! Let's say her soul... Possessed the robot that killed her... Now, I know what you're thinking: Why didn't I try to rescue her if I knew where she was all the time? Well, it's not that simple! These animatronics don't like me very much, and murder is kind of in their code, which makes my situation difficult... But that's where you come in! You just go down there, and get your sister out of that body, simple, right? You'll be fine, they have nothing against you! Plus you owe me a kid after you stuck your brother's head in that bear's mouth, so swallow the cry and go!"
