A list of puns related to "Wild World (album)"
Go listen. Legitimately fantastic and at times, incredibly profound, music. I was slightly disappointed this year with the lack of attention it got. I think his voice is slept on as being the best/one of the best in the music scene today. Gives off Springsteen vibes. Itβs so much different lyrically and sonically than anyone else out there at the moment. Not to mention he writes 95% of his own songs which is always a plus! Recommend him to anyone unfamiliar on this sub
So quick disclaimer, I didnβt like the album Doom Days at all except one song that I liked a lot (Doom Days). Iβm just searching for some music thatβs calm and has a nice melody like the music from these 2 albums.
Hello cultists!
This is a little quick mini post about Wild World since it celebrated its 4th birthday today/yesterday!

As many of us know, Wild World is all about the madness and terror of society today or the human condition. I like to think that Wild World, as depicted in the album art, gives us an outsider/elevated perspective on the world. As someone who occasionally climbs buildings, (for legal reasons, that is a joke) I find doing so always leaves me awestruck. I find myself feeling isolated to high above the ground, I can see both everything and nothing, I am horrified by modern cities while also left speechless of its beauty, and I think my feels perfectly sum up what Bastille says/does in Wild World.

Good Grief can perfectly sum up the whole of a city, others happy and in success while others are mourning and miserable.
The Currents represent the horror show that is modern politics. We all live in the currents that politicians create, and the people who are most effected by those currents hardly get to have a say. Executives get to make decisions that will effect millions while living above in skyscrapers while everyone else is like a little tiny ant in a city.
An Act of Kindness represents the huge divide between the rich and poor. The rich show rare acts of kindness and expect to be praised for it. While many poor and homeless people are "caught by surprise in this town of glass and ice", or are surprised by the random act since everyone is so cold in a city. Some are left feeling guilty for not helping more.
Warmth is about finding comfort in the face of horrors and the news.
Glory (arguably) is about being disconnected or being reconnected to real life "on the ground". Or it is about "looking up" and dreaming what it would be like living up above. Also shout out to u/JustABastilleFan 's analysis on 1984, they suggested that this song is (I'm doing some major paraphrasing here) actually about propaganda. It could also be about people glamorizing death on movies/news.
Power is about, well, the power that people, especially politicians and the rich, hold over each other and other people.
Two Evils is debating about whether we are evil for being complicit to the horrors and tur

I have a bespoke event planning business called Constructed Adventures! When there isnβt a global pandemic going on, I travel the world building personalized immersive Adventures for clients. I also have a Youtube Channel where I post tutorials and ideas! Feel free to check it out. Or not. Iβm not your boss.
Every year, I sign up for the Secret Santa holiday exchange and fly out to their location and send my giftee on an adventure. Here are the previous adventures:
2020 - The Tavern Restored
2019 - The Queen of the norse
2018 - The Archer Princess and the Cactus pin
2017 - The Wolf and the Owl go Bird Hunting
2016 - The Great Sock Adventure
2015 - The Royal Scotsman
Now that the world is opening back up, you have the perfect opportunity to build an Adventure for a loved one. And Iβd love to help! Go ahead and give me your parameters. Say youβve always wanted to create a twisting turning day for someone, hit me with some information and Iβll try to help you build an outline and throw in a few gambits to help give you somewhere to start. Give me the basic location (city), the occasion, and maybe a level of difficulty and Iβll try to find a few spots and give you a few gambits so you feel comfortable building the adventure yourself! Think of this like a free drive by consultation.
To make things more interesting, Iβve invited the wonderful creative folks from The r/ConstructedAdventures subreddit and Discord Channel. Youβre welcome to join us in those spaces!
That being said, you can ask me anything about business, travel, how much 2020 sucked for me or how it feels to get deported from Canada (it's not as exciting as you'd think).
Seeing as this is the 4th AMA Iβve done, I made a Bingo card
EDIT: I forgot to add! I made a semi-comprehensive step by step guide if you want to build an Adventure of your own but don't want to chat here!
EDIT2: I'm always looking to hire people when I run adv

Unlike No Man's Sky, Outer Wilds isn't procedurally generated and they aren't like each other, so it seems he just means there's actual space exploration (in addition to the usual Bethesda mechanics). Pilotable ships?
I'm a dad, and an impatient patient gamer. I find most games either too simplistic or too hard to get into because I have little time, so I end up playing Rocket League for the dopamine, or GTA for the familiarity.
But within someone's request for recommendation thread I can no longer find, was a comment about Outer Wilds, and I decided to pick it up. Wow.
This game reminds me of the wonder I got from playing Zelda and Solar Jetman on NES when I was a kid. I'm already planning to replay it when my 3-year-old is 8 or so.
From the get-go, roasting a marshmallow on the campfire with those subtle guitar tones set the mood for the experience. What a soundtrack.
The lack of voiceover means there's no terrible acting to take you out of it. The gender-neutral pronouns are a nice touch. I took my time through the prologue, talked to everyone, and got a good base idea of the setting.
The spacecraft handling is tough but fair, and the first time you really "get" it blasting off from a planet and pitch down to see it shrink away is exhilarating.
The mystery of the solar system and the hook are intriguing enough to keep me coming back, I think especially because I I got far enough the first time that I didn't die.
I recommend this to anyone who has an hour here and there at night to devote to an experience.
