either everyone smokes weed or other pot heads are some how drawn to each other. because every where ive ever worked, at least one other person smokes. iβve taught at 4 different schools my entire adult life and thereβs always at teacher that smokes. my last job had an all time high of 8/12 staff members that smoked.
anyway, my theory is somehow, like birds of a feather we always end up flying high together. we always seem to somehow find each other. at least in my life.
thanks for coming to my ted talk. god bless
There was a running theme of the cycle of violence. But it seemed to be more like violence begets violence, unless you take some minimal effort to cover your tracks.
The primary example of this was at the lodge after Joel was murdered. The game seemed to suggest that leaving Tommy and Ellie alive was a mistake and never offered anything to counter that suggestion.
The other main example was Ellie leaving the map behind. Abby would have never found the theatre if Ellie didn't leave behind a literal map to their location. (The map should have been ruined by blood and water by the time Abby got there, but that's just a nitpick).
There were a couple of other examples but I thought those were the main ones.
It's primarily because of the lodge that I am confused by the assumption that Ellie would leave Lev alive if she killed Abby. She would have had to have gone to a really dark place to kill Abby, so I don't think it would be out of the question for her to learn from Abby's mistake and end the cycle of violence that way.
I'll be interested to hear your thoughts.
Iβve found myself lured further down the path I began two weeks ago. Killing folks gets easier each time I pull the trigger. Maybe theyβre innocent, maybe weβre all guilty of something, but Iβm disquieted by how little these questions arise when thereβs money on the table.
Iβve fallen in with some bad crowds as of late. Outlaws who band together solely for the experience have little in the way of loyalty or morals, and as much as Iβd like to think myself different, I fear my actions suggest otherwise.
Iβve done my best to hold onto some kind of code, tried my best to only ride with others who do the same, but when youβre behind the bandana robbing stagecoaches and attacking mail carriers, where the lines are drawn and which side youβre on becomes less and less clear.
I keep telling myself Iβll get out. After this job. After the next job. One more mission and Iβll be able to finally buy the Springfield. But when does it end? Thereβs always something else to buy, always one more reason to raise my Lancaster against another. Iβve gotta get out. Iβve gotta stop the cycle.
Next week. Next week Iβll seclude myself in the mountains. Dust off my Varmint Rifle. Get back to nature, recenter myself. Try to make right by God. Next week. Until then, may God forgive me for the things Iβm about to do.
Sincerely,
Minta, Black Queen of the Bayou
