A list of puns related to "Up Holland"
I bought the Total Film December issue and decided to write down all information from the interview with Tom Holland that hasn't already been posted on the magazine's website or in this subreddit. I will put links to the threads about the parts that were already posted to avoid unnecessary dublicates.
No Way Home marks the final instalment in the Homecoming trilogy and looks set to take the series in a new direction.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, that darker feel comes partly thanks to a roguesβ gallery of villains set to appear opposite Holland. Alfred Molina returns as Doctor Octopus from Tobey Maguireβs films, the trailer suggests Willem Dafoeβs Green Goblin will show up, and there are unconfirmed reports of Jamie Foxxβs Electro zapping in from the Andrew Garfield-verse.
[Look here to read about the film being brutal, dark, and sad, about Peterβs and Strangeβs relationship, and about the rumors of Tobey and Andrew returning.]
βWhen they cast the young kid in Spider-Man to replace me, whether itβs next year or in five years, Iβll take it upon myself to teach them about the responsibilities of being Spider-Man. [β¦] Itβs tough. Itβs taxing sometimes. Because sometimes you just want to go to a pub and get absolutely wasted, and not have to worry about the ramifications of the public scrutiny of βOh my God, what do you mean you got drunk?ββ
β[β¦] And itβs a responsibility Iβve really loved carrying. But, when someone else takes my place, I will be sure to give them some advice about how to deal with it and give them my number [β¦]β
Before Holland passes the spandex to someone new, he has β at the very least β one more outing as Spider-Man. [β¦]
In fact, the future of Hollandβs Spider-Man appears to be unknown. Thatβs not because heβs avoiding talking spoilers; the notoriously loose-lipped South Londoner seems genuinely unsure about whatβs next for Peter Parker. βI donβt know. I donβt know. I genuinely donβt know,β he repeats. The speed of his words β so often rushed like every other excitable young man β slows down. *βItβs som
... keep reading on reddit β‘Hello again everyone. Just as the title says I'm here this time with my reconstructed versions of the Carl & Passions - So Tough and Holland albums. I've been listening extensively to these two albums again over the last few days and I forgot how good So Tough is. Holland is already a top 5 album for me so it's always good to relisten to that one.
I did originally plan to wait for the box set release covering these two albums but I decided to hell with it! Why not do them both now? So that's what I've done, I put these both together at the same time whilst I was scouring the internet for good quality versions and fan mixes of the many unreleased bootlegs we have from 1972 and 1973 to fill these albums up. There are so many unused tracks from around the time these two albums were produced and it boggles my mind why some songs especially the ones recorded for Holland got dropped.
The majority of the songs are fan remasters done by DJ L33 on YouTube. Check him out, he does great work and I think these remastered versions by him are top-notch. The rest of the songs are sourced from the Made In California and Feel Flows compilations. I will come back and update this when we get an official release of these songs from the So Tough & Holland box set at some point later this year, hopefully, sooner than expected.

For Carl & The Passions - So Tough, I reorganised and expanded the tracklist. I'm using remastered versions of the songs done by DJ L33 and have added 4 unused tracks from 1971-1972, Sound Of Free, I've Got A Friend, It's A New Day and Out In The Country.
For Holland, I reorganised and expanded the tracklist. Added 3 cut tracks from 1971-1973, Carry Me Home, Hard Times and We Got Love. All songs were remastered by DJ L33.
Carl & The Passions - So Tough (1972)
Version 1.0 (31/01/2022)
Side One (22:26)
Side two (23:56)
In an alternate universe where Jack Reiley stays on as their manager for a while longer and whatever incident that caused Blondie to leave doesn't happen. Following the success of Sail On Sailor as the single from Holland, Warner Reprise allows the Boys another chance with the song We Got Love and they get to work on building their next album around it in 1974. What do you think of my suggestions for the track list? Feel free to submit your own down below!
Side One
River Song
Follows the 1973 arrangement, but with a completed lead vocal by Dennis and the guitar solo in the middle section brought up in the mix. I think some vocal ad-libs by Blondie in the outro would be a cool little addition.
Back Home
Re-recorded yet again, but this time with a grittier swamp rock edge and some harmonica and dobro scattered throughout. Carl and Blondie provide a gruff-sounding dual lead vocal like they did on Mess of Help earlier.
Sweet And Bitter
Let's say Mike decides to revive and finish this song for the album. This version starts out with an extended dreamy intro of electric piano, bass and Funky Pretty-esque synthesizer from Brian before launching into something with a drive not too dissimilar to the bootleg version with late 80s overdubs.
Fading Love Song
This song would have been just perfect for Al to sing IMO. The backing track is a near identical to Don Golberg's recording with the folky acoustic guitar and Brian adding the light piano as he did there but also now with some ethereal group harmonies fluttering in and out.
Hard Times
Great energetic Blondie/Ricky track to close out side one. No changes needed here.
Side Two:
We Got Love
No changes to this song either except that this album uses the full version while the single uses the edit.
California Feelin'
I can imagine a beautiful stripped-down version of this song with Brian, Carl, Dennis, Mike and Al all around Brian's piano (continuing with his Randy Newman influence from around this time) taking turns to sing lines before harmonizing on the choruses.
Sweet Mountain
Very much like the Spring version except with Carl and Al on vocals and maybe a trade off solo section between Charles Lloyd on flute and Brian's synthesizer. I can picture Ricky playing a few different instruments here also.
Carry Me Home
No changes, but what a way to finish!
Maybe Side Two could be beefed up with one more song, the two best leftover contenders from '74 being Good Timin' and B
... keep reading on reddit β‘Background... Our family is basically out - haven't been to church in a while but my son is still in Seminary since he has friends in class. I know everyone brags on their kids - mine can go to college pretty much anywhere he wants (great grades and crushed his SATs). BYU was still on his list until the Seminary teacher shared the talk with the kids yesterday. You can say the musket backfired...
His report is that the entire class was angered by cruel rhetoric. BYU is officially off his college list and he'll focus now on "real universities."
Holland and the rest of his cronies never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity. He could have spoken about anything but instead he went all in on bigotry. The fact is, everyone has family and friends who are part of the LGBTQI+ community. (If you don't think you do, then you don't know people well enough.)
Forget about the church history nonsense. The "rising generation" just will not put up with the hateful words and actions. That's what really causes people like my family to leave.
