After inputting this headline into ai21's HAIM fiction generator, this was what was written after a few regenerations:
"The U.S. Department of Homeland Security announced on Monday that it will allow Chinese athletes to compete in the inaugural Ultimate Fighting Championship championship tournament in Djibouti to be staged in 2025. Officials claim the bout will be the first-ever MMA event of its sort in the world. The event will feature the fighters from China and other Middle Eastern countries. The competition will be held at the United Nations Convention Center. Djibouti will host a special show on Nov. 13. The event will be co-sponsored by the United States of America and the Chinese Embassy in Djibouti. "As part of our comprehensive investment strategy in Africa, we are proud to host the fifth Ultimate Fighting Championship championship and will strive to build on the success of the event to enhance the sporting achievements of our peoples. Our partners in China and the United States also see the sport of MMA as an opportunity for a positive development in our countries. We encourage the participation of Chinese athletes and will work closely together to establish joint cooperation and partnerships," Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) said. The Department of Homeland Security said that there are no current plans to prohibit Chinese fighters and that, therefore, an exemption has been granted."

##La Nation de Djibouti
>With French forces in Djibouti participating in a coalition intervention to restore democracy in Ethiopia, President Hamadou has clarified his support for the TPLF and the coalition. At a recent press conference, Hamadou announced "Djibouti will always be on the side of democracy. The only way peace will come to East Africa is if all nations are able to accept democratic rule. Eritrea has seen the instability, Somalia has expressed their problems in a more externally violent way, and now we see Ethiopia reaping the whirlwind they have sown neglecting the will of the people. So perhaps one day soon, we may see another new democracy in East Africa."
>However, Hamadou went on to claim "Since we are seeing an age of uprising as democracy seeks to express itself, we do need to ensure that we can protect ourselves from this upheaval, and from those who would stuff the democratic spirit back in its box."
>Following this, the President announced that Djibouti had confirmed a deal with French missile company MBDA for several air and naval missile batteries, as well as a small number of light aircraft purchased from other manufacturers. Addressing concerns of cost, Hamadou brought up French defense aid as a possibility.

The Chinese soldiers in the Djibouti base, completely surrounded and without anywhere to go, surrendered to the Americans. The base had already been mostly evacuated.
This is the best tl;dr I could make, original reduced by 78%. (I'm a bot)
> In a race to save the colorful corals that dot the shores of the Red Sea, Israel has joined a unique regional collaboration along with seven other majority-Muslim countries, many of whom do not have diplomatic relations with the Jewish state.
> The Red Sea Transnational Research Center, to be managed by the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne, will study the Red Sea's vast coral reefs and how they have managed to resist bleaching effects that have led to the imminent collapse of other reefs around the world.
> The Red Sea has acted as a type of "Thermal refuge," with corals able to withstand experiments that exposed them to higher and higher temperatures and acidification, mimicking what future summer conditions could entail.
> The same type of corals that live in the Red Sea are also found in other parts of the world experiencing widespread bleaching.
> The Red Sea Transnational Research Center will include researchers from all the countries along the Red Sea, including Israel, Jordan, Egypt, Yemen, Eritrea, Djibouti, Sudan, and Saudi Arabia, studying fish and coral like these, photographed near Eilat in 2019.
> While the research might be important to help endangered coral around the world, Fine said the best thing to do to slow the decline of reefs around the world would be to tackle global warming.

The construction of a Chinese base in Djibouti has proven to be a big blow in geopolitics in the area as it is a clear sign that Beijing may be attempting to "edge out Western influence" in Africa and the Middle East. Several allies currently have assets in Djibouti including Japan, France and the US. Italy is supporting the European Union Naval Force by operating the General Atomics MQ-1 Predator.
First and foremost, the Italian High command wishes to deploy additional assets in the area to protect comercial navigation through the straight and Gulf of Aden against rouge states and pirates. If approved, Italy would base in Djibuti, besides the BMNS-Base Militare Nazionale di Supporto and its aircraft, additional assets in the form of a PPA frigate and Minesweepers in the Naval base and additional ASW, AWACS and tankers to support Italian and allied assets in the area. We would like to work closely with our French counterparts and expand the base westwards towards the sea. This expansion would service all European allies and would include the improvement of the northern taxiway, extending it to the runway's threshold and increase its size to runway-grade.
The current allied bases in Djibouti lack a proper naval base, which we consider vital to maintain freedom of navigation in the area by providing replenishment and basing capabilities to allied ships in the vicinity. The Italian Ministry of Defense therefore would like to propose with all participating parties a possible joint naval base in Djibuti, connected directly to the allied military bases in the vicinity of the Airport, taking advantage of the Biley Blax island.
We would like to hear our allies feedback on this matter.
