A list of puns related to "USS Sims (DD 409)"
I was thinking of what kind of game Iβd love to play, and this just popped into my head.
I loved playing SimTower and being able to see people going about their day inside of the skyscraper I was building.
Iβve also been itching to play a game where I commanded a crew WITHIN a starship, a bit like you do in FTL.
Iβd love a game like this. Basically Sim Tower, in space. Most of the time youβre doing things inside your ship, but every now and then thereβs some external threat or issue you have to deal with.
Are there ANY games like this I can play?
Founded in 1997, the Atlantis has been through multiple generations of roleplayers, some which continue to serve on the ship to this day. We have moved from AOL to IRC, and now on Discord. We come together every Wednesday at 9pm ET for roleplay. Players aren't required to have in-depth knowledge of their department, but the ability to make stuff up on the spot is highly encouraged! We are seeking an Assistant Engineer and an Assistant Medical Officer. Our roleplays can be viewed here and if interested, send me a message!
I recently purchased the USS Alaska with free xp and the grind was very long and awful I started with Musashi and JB with fxp cammos and flags but they ran out pretty soon. I heard that the Sims is good as farming free xp and now that it's going out in the black Friday event I was wondering if I should get it for that specific purpose.
Is the Sims worth it as it currently is in the game right now? Just asking because it's on sale right now and it's the only tier 7 Destroyer I don't have
So the USS Sims is going to be back on the NA server next week.
I wish it were the Gremyashy.
If you bought the Sims, would you do it again?
Today I did some testing in the training room to evaluate how big the difference is when using the new Propulsion Mod. 2.
I measured all the times using a stopwatch and recorded the values at least 3 times and calculated the average out of those.
But be aware that there is still some inaccuracy as it is really difficult to record the proper values on the speedometer although i did my best to get correct values.
A disclaimer on how I did each test can be found just below the spreadsheet. So here it is.

I hope it helps some of you to decide which upgrade to use. Personally I will stick to the Steering Gears Mod. 2 as I value the ability to dodge incoming shells and torpedos easier when moving higher than the slightly better acceleration after changing speeds.

To address a common missconception:
Propulsion Mod. 2 does not reduce the time needed to achieve full speed by 50%. It decreases the time needed for the engine to have full power which is a huge difference. Infact you save less than 10% of time to reach full speed and it has zero effect on speeding up after turns in which you did not change your speed setting.
In the year 2393, the Starship Cassini is dispatched on a mission of discovery and exploration to the interstellar frontiers of the Federation. To seek out new life, new civilizations and push aside the boundaries of scientific understanding in the galaxy and breach into a new age of discovery. Under the auspices of Starfleet's Applied Sciences Division the Cassini and its crew's voyages are set to boldly go further than any other...
We're the third of the Nova-class line to be commissioned in Obsidian Fleet, proving that one little ship can make all the difference in a galaxy of behemoths, and that it is truly the size of the story that matters most. The aim for this community of authors is to construct memorable and engaging characters set against the familiar Star Trek backdrop of exploration and discovery that is as much external as it is internal.
I invite you to explore our site and extend you a warm invitation if you wish to join us in the adventures that await you. We are actively seeking a crew for our initial launch, so if you're enthusiastic and have a character's story itching to be set loose, then come give us a look as we get started! We are seeking players for all positions and in all departments.
Did you know that Fox almost made a The Sims movie in 2012 that would tell a story about some teenagers who bought a The Sims game and discovers that they are controlling the real world?
All I could think of is how the idea behind USS Callister could actually be a great potential for a fun, tense and interesting video game adaptation. There's a great number of people who created avatars of people they hate in Sims just to fork with them - the character behind Robert could actually be at first normal person who just wanted to deal with his anger, and became a monster.
I loved this concept, and I would love to see it being explored more.
I'm in the middle of fitting out my sims, with: -Main Armaments Mod 1 -Aiming Systems Mod 1 -Propulsion Mod 1 My question is for my fourth upgrade slot should i go with the propulsion mod 2 for better acceleration or steering gears mod 2 for better rudder shift?
Last night I was trying to figure out how experience and the tech tree worked. I played most of matches with the USS SIMS but the experience was only going to that ship and not my account as a whole. If I want to move on to different ships do I have to start at the top of the tech tree and work my way down by getting experience with a specific ship?
Hopefully that makes sense. Cheers
