A list of puns related to "Two Dogs Site"
Like wtf, my family and I are moving to Mexico in a year, and my parents said I can get a cat (maybe even two), just donβt expect me to rehome them to serve in bethel π. Fuck those fuckwits.
Lubbock Parks & Rec posted on FB this morning:
> πΆThe rumors are true! There will be TWO new dog park locations. One will be at Mackenzie Park next to Joyland. The other dog park will be located at Clapp Park right next to Safety City off 44th and Avenue U. The progress on The Clapp Dog Park is they have the layout spray painted and flagged. This dog park will give central lubbock a perfect place to let their dogs hangout! Clapp's Dog Park will feature 1.41 acres, new doggy fountains, covered benches, and new shade trees. Both are to be finished by spring time. Here are the layout plans for both Dog Parks.

We're looking for someplace free or inexpensive and not too busy. Don't need any special amenities.
When I use my computer, I open another small window with Prolific and go on with my day, while also being able to see if I got any studies and refresh from time to time. The auto-refresh time is long and I also like to put my phone next to me on my desk where I can see the page too (so I'm logged in on two devices). It raises my chances to see a study. Does anyone do that too? Is there a possibility for that to get me banned?
Oh boy.
How one month seems to change.
My Golden Retriever just turned 1-years old. For the first year, she was mostly excellent. She responded well to training, is housetrained, not overweight, and pretty socialized (I think)? Everyone that has met her, including trainers and groomers, praised her for her excellent behavior.
And then starting last month, she has been growling nonstop at strangers or even people who walk past our house. She keeps barking nonstop.
And then she has become shockingly aggressive with possessions. If she has a food or toy she REALLY likes, she will not "drop it" and will start to growl and even try to bite if I get too close.
Last night, I tried to lead her to her crate for bedtime. She didn't want to budge off the couch and tried to bite me and snarled at me.
This is all very surprising to me. Is this normal or is this the Terrible Twos that dogowners have talked about?
It sounds really dark when relaying in in text, but I remember reading a chapter book around 2003 or 2004 (though it was probably a much older book) in which a pair of siblings are lost somewhere with their dog. Their dog goes missing and a short while later they're taken in and fed a hot meal by someone and they realize that the meat in their meal was their dog.
Can't remember any other details- hoping someone has some clue as to what this book was.
Like so many others owners they can not control their dog's, leashed or not.
Disclaimer: some of the audio wasn't entirely clear, so this may not be perfectly accurate. I did my best, it should be fairly reliable

Woodruff Neighborhood Meeting, 4/29/21 In attendance were Mayor Daines and Councilman Mark Anderson, possibly other city council. Those two I recognized voices. Also Keegan Garrity and Chris Simiskey, who I believe are part of the designated Woodruff Neighborhood committee. As far as I know, none of these plans are currently funded, and this is all in the planning stage. I imagine the funding can be secured fairly quickly once the plans are finalized, so now is the time to provide input.
Proposed site is 1400 - 1900 w, 200 - 400 s. Currently the site is some fields south of the dump, already owned by the city. 2 years out, probably.
SO MANY NIMBYs! People literally saying "not in my backyard". Ugh.
This isn't dependent on closing the landfill, this is undeveloped fields currently. The "landfill buffer zone".
