After the year of living beneath the ground, she had returned to the surface, returned to school.

Her family was still well to do. It had been, even when the Overseers had ruled over the system, but several of her family members had helped the Terrans defend her home planet and because of that, they had connections and respect that money couldn't buy.

Sakura: Last week I recorded just after waking up. But recently I've been leading a healthy lifestyle. I sleep at like 11pm and wake at 6 am. My eyes just opened by itself. I woke up at 6am too, but felt like I could sleep a little more, but I slept till like 5pm. Proper sleep! But I heard the recording starts at 6am so I woke up an hour earlier. I'm so proud. Sakura: First of all, the moment I landed, I received "I already miss you" from Chaeyeon 😂 We're in contact quite often. Once every couple of days? Much has been made of the five people who died “as a result of the insurrection” on January 6th. I couldn’t help but wonder: out of the number of people involved, how many would have died on a given day anyway? In other words, are the 5 deaths statistically significant?

The first problem is determining exactly how many people are involved. There are two aspects to this problem: one, there is no data on the actual number of Trump rally attendees. This is because there is no aerial photography of the event for crowd size estimates and because the US national park service no longer provides crowd size estimates, ever since they gave a number unfavorable to Louis Farrakhan for the 1995 million man march and congress subsequently stopped NPS funding crowd size estimates.

The second problem is defining exactly how many people are “involved.” It isn’t just people that broke into the capitol, as several rally attendees are counted in the death toll - men who did not enter the Capitol building. Also a USCP officer was counted among the deaths, and he was not a Trump rally attendee nor a rioting insurrectionist - but an employee of Congress.

I reasoned that I should count all rally attendees, all USCP employees, all members of congress and the entire US Capitol staff as well as the DC Metro police, National Guard and Secret Service that were present during the event. My reason for doing so is that had any individual member of these groups died on January 6th for any reason, they would have been included in the death count.

Estimating the size of the Trump rally is difficult. Their original permit was for 10,000 attendees, but later they upped their permit to 30,000 attendees. I ultimately decided to use a photo of the rally which shows an entire triangle filled with people between the three points formed by the Washington Monument and the intersections of Constitution Ave with 15th st and 17th street. This forms an area of approximately 1,000,000 square feet. Based on an average crowd density of 10 square feet per person, this gives us a crowd estimate of 100,000. I halved it to 50,000 just to be sure.

The total number for the analysis thus came to 82,049 people, composed of the following groups: 50,000 Trump rally attendees, 1,500 US Capitol Police Officers, 1,000 DC Metropolitan Police Officers, 3,000 National Guard Troops, Secret Service agents and FBI agents, 9,500 US Capitol Complex employees, 11,000 Congre

Apes, I have excellent news. I was sitting on the toilet listening to Fifth Harmony attempting to take my 4th shit of the day. After having trouble, my good friend WD40 came to the rescue. Now, I took this as a sign as any logical ape would do. I realized that MY WIFE HAS BEEN FUCKING THE MAILMAN. So I graciously added the mailman to the long list of my wife's boyfriends by paying his taxes, giving him a welcome to the family cake, and allowing him to take my bed. In exchange, my wife's new boyfriend graciously allowed me to pay his rent for five months. So yeah, you could say I'm living the good life right now.

A few weeks ago I made a post where I tried to decipher GME's potential future movements based on its past. Before reading this post, please see that post as you will be very confused if you don't. This post is going to be a continuation of that post, which attempted to use the past to make sense of where we are now. This post will try to use the past and the present to try to predict where we could be going in the future.

Before reading. I warn you, this is long. Many of you who follow me have seen my previous posts that are long. Well, this is a new level of long. This is like my wife's affair with the mailman long. Note on using the past

Before going further, I want to emphasize that correlation does not equal causation, dates should not be taken as absolute, and the past does not always indicate what the future may do. I am only posting this because I see similarities and wanted to share my findings. Though traders, historians, and economists often use the past to predict the future (i.e. yield curves, interest rates, recessions, etc.), these are simply correlations and do not guarantee or prove future price action.

So, why do I use the past to try to predict the future? I use it for many reasons. First, as I said earlier, most analysts/traders use it too. Similar to technical analysis, because other people use it,

She was standing in line at the coffee shop, waiting for her frozen variation as I watched her from behind my tablet. It wasn’t that I meant to watch her like that, she just happened to be extraordinarily beautiful in that very plain way with her hair all crazy and her old sewn sweater with its protuberances in places it had been snagged. At some point, she caught me looking and came over to sit across from me at the little table. I’d doodled something on the napkin I should have been using as a coaster; she lifted the stained paper and looked over it with raised eyebrows.

“You’re quite the artist.” She informed me. “Have you done anything with it?”

Taking a sip from my cup, I quite literally felt the intrigue coming off her. The enticing way that she cocked her head to the side, or the frank manner in which she spoke passed on to me the strangest of things. I had fallen immediately in love with this woman. That’s insane to say; I’d never before been a romantic, but there she was, the woman I’d seen the vaguest shape of in dreams. “No. I haven’t.” I said.

“That’s a shame.” She played with the napkin. “I get this really weird feeling from you.”

“What do you mean?” I shifted around in my seat as though every facet of who I was as a person was under scrutiny.

“It feels like I’ve seen you before somewhere. Have I seen you before?”

“I don’t think so.” I grumbled while slowly nudging my foam cup along the table.

“I’m sure I’ve seen you before.”

“I guess I’ve got one of those faces. Really unfortunate.” I offered the joke to her as a white flag to stop the stilted way in which she spoke to me.

“No.” Her voice was very matter of fact. “You are beautiful.”

I was frozen; never in my life had anyone told me I was beautiful. She could have chosen to say that in any way she wanted. She might have said I looked beautiful; that would have been a subjective way of saying it, like she knew that I wasn’t but she alone thought I was. But she said I was beautiful; like she’d gone out of her way to surpass all logic and impose onto the universe that I simply was and it wasn’t just her own opinion. I’m sorry. It genuinely caught me off guard and it felt nice. I could feel the heat around my collar flushing my face. “Hmm?” I made the noise as a general indication that I wanted to know what exactly was going on.

I just posted this same story on the Fire Emblem sub but I thought I would post it here as well considering this is now a Switch game that I played on my Switch. I'm sorry if this post breaks some kind of rule I don't know about. Anyways, I'm here today because I just finished my first ever playthrough of Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light (Switch Version) and would like to share my experience of the game with other passionate fans of the series. After I beat any game I usually like to jot down a few thoughts about the game before moving on to the next game but in this case it became rather lengthy.

If anyone does actually end up reading this whole mess please understand that I wrote this as a recap of my experience with the game and not necessarily as a review. It's not super well written or heavily edited so you may come across many grammatical errors and run-on sentences. With that said - enjoy!

Backstory:
My journey with Fire Emblem started a long, long time ago as a young teenager when I watched my friend play Path of Radiance on the Wii. At the time I had no knowledge of how significant the series had been in Japan during the 90's or how significant it would become in the West with the release of the the DS & 3DS games and Three Houses later on in the distant 2010's. Nevertheless, the series' strategy elements and fantasy setting were intriguing, which made me want to experience it for myself.

My official starting point with the series began when I played the first localized Fire Emblem game for Western audiences, simply titled "Fire Emblem" for the GBA, which I played on my laptop emulator at in high school. I vaguely remember getting stuck on a certain chapter about 3/4 of the way through due to being under-leveled and ending up having to restart it. Eventually, I beat the game and found the experience to be a pure joy. The characters, the story, the tactics and strategy - I fell in love with all of it and I wanted more. To this day Lyndis, Hector and Eliwood hold a special place in my heart as my original three Heros (Lords). Just like how Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur will always be favorite starter trio due to the fact that they were my gateway into the world of Pokémon, the Fire Emblem Trio perform the same function as my true introduction into the world of Fire Emblem.

I suddenly stumbled upon this series in Netflix while looking for some cheap "fast food" anime to watch. What I founded was even better.

At first the art style might seem a little bit jarring for some people. But once you pass that, there's actually no proble. It's a romantic comedy, the animation in my opinion don't really matter that.

The anime is set in Japan in the 90s during the arcade gaming boom. In my opinion, I'd classify this as a historical fiction because of how accurate (or at least how they try) it is at depicting the scenery at the time. They are not shy away from referencing real life games and companies, such as Street Fighter, Vampire Hunter, Final Fight, Capcom, Taito etc which I think adds to the realism that it tries to depict. They even went as far as making some game characters, such as Guile from Street Fighter, as a regular character in the show.

And in this backdrop that we start our show. Haruo Yaguchi, a 6th year elementary student, who prides himself at being really good at fighting games, finally met his match when Akira Ono, the daughter of some rich company owner and also his classmate destroyed him in Street Fighter match. The series follow their lives from when they are still kids until they are in high school.

This series features romance among young people that they themselves don't know that what they are experiencing is romance which is kinda cute from an outsiders perspective. It also handles love triangle very beautifully, in fact, it's one of the few anime that handles it well

As someone who don't really watch romance, I sometimes forgot that this is a romance anime. The history part and the comedy part really sells the show. And when they get to the romance part, you can't help but to enjoy it because you are already invested in it.

I checked the cast, I basically don't know any of the VAs in this anime and the animation is handled by J.C Staff. It seems like there is not much reason to watch this anime other than because it is recommended on Netflix. But I really can't recommend this series enough.

If you've tried the story maps you know the new fallen Edelgard is quite frustrating to deal with but I've been testing out some units and strategies to deal with her.

- Boey

Triangle adept Boey with his weapon refined can almost handle Edelgard on his own. Pair him with someone who provides passive defense and attack buffs and you should be golden. The full build I used on Boey was the following:

A: Triangle Adept

B: Guard (To prevent a huge bonfire)

C: Attack Smoke (Or pulse smoke if you really wanna invest in Boey)

S: Any Defense and Attack stacking skill (Brazen atk def, Atk def form, etc)

- Staff Units

Any strong units who can ensure that Edelgard cannot counter attack (Dazzling Staff or Flash+) can chip her down. A Pain+ staff unit can do absolutely destroy Edelgard or at least put her below the 25% threshold and allow another unit to take her out. Additionally Windsweep builds would also work against her

- Take her out before she transforms

If you can take her out before she transforms or manipulate her AI to put her next to someone who would un-transform her, she's not too bad to deal with.

Any Micaiah for example can easily deal with an untransformed Edelgard thanks to her Armor effectiveness and Edelgard's somewhat low resistance stat.

These are just some ways I've thought of dealing with her, if you think of any others comment them below

So I've gotten back into Ninjago and It's just as good as I remember. I've decided to rank all the seasons before I make an updated version after watching Prime Empire-Seabound. So Let's get right into it.

PROS:

*There is a decent amount of focus given to every ninja

*Wu is kind of relevant again

We’re all familiar with the labor “revolution” going on...I think it’s unfortunate that owners and staff are at odds. Ultimately, owners and staff are in a love triangle with the guests, and they are the key part of this relationship that needs to adjust. They need a whole new re-education and readjustment to the dining-/drinking-out experience. I believe that both owners and workers can get more of what we both want—money and improved quality of life when we start better managing guests and their expectations.

We gotta stop with this bending over backwards to please them. Customer service is not customer servitude. Guests need to obey house rules and be respectful. While we need revenue from them, they need to respect that they are in someone else’s house and treat staff with respect and also render compensation for the goods AND services received. I’m all for applying an automatic 20 percent service charge as a standard. Now, I have some amazing guests who drop amazing tips, but then I also have some clueless people who leave zero tips on large checks. Service ain’t free, and paying for it should not be optional. They need to pay for it. I think there would also be a reduction in employee theft if we disincentivize them from wanting to give away product for a good tip.

While the labor market is tight, guests just need to get over it and be patient. Reservations (with deposits) are an option. I think prices should be raised (period) but certainly while dining-/drinking-out is a premium. We keep hearing about supply and demand, well this also needs to apply to restaurants. Guests are getting eager to come out. Seats and service are limited...pay up or stay home. This is one way for owners to make more revenue with fewer guests and limited staff.

No discount and specials right now. Again, this can’t be a time for bargain diners and drinkers. You want to come out during this incredibly challenging time? Don’t expect any deals.

Continuing to totally placate guests by continuing business as usual is not a good way to move forward. Workers are done with that model. I’ve been more hands-on than ever before now, and I’ve come to see how some guests really behave...I don’t fault workers for not wanting to return to being someone’s b*tch for a tip.

I just hope we can work together—owners and staff—to transition the industry to something that is mutually beneficial and rewarding. Staff want to be “paid their worth”...well, we need the revenue to do that, and

I’ve decided to sell off my extra droids in order to fund other parts of my collection. There are a LOT.

All droids should be considered used/very good condition. Many are brand new straight out of sets, but there might be light scuffs and play wear. If this is a huge concern, let me know and I can do my best to clarify condition. Some have issues that are identified in the notes (scroll tables to the right), and have been priced accordingly.

Several of the droids are stored with all like droids in a single bag. Because I haven’t tried every torso with every set of legs and arms, there may be loose pieces (especially with the Battle Droids). I am not looking to count out droid parts to fulfill orders, so for right now, those droids that are stored together must be purchased together (so, yes, someone is going to have to buy all 146 Battle Droids because I’m not looking to count out pieces and check for tightness). These droids are noted in the comments. I have a few spare parts, which can be negotiated into any deal (to hopefully account for any broken or loose parts). I may sell these droids individually at a later date if I can’t sell them in the full lots.

Droids will come disassembled in the labeled bags as pictured.
