Repeal and amend several sections of the Trade Union and Funding and Ballot Requirements Act 2019 to loosen restrictions on unions.
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Lords, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-
Section 1: Sections to Repeal and Amend
(1) The following sections of the Trade Union Funding and Ballot Requirements Act 2019 are amended as follows:
(a) Section 2(1)(c) is amended to read:
βthe employer of those who were eligible to vote in the ballot was not given at least seven (7) days notice of the industrial action, orβ
(b) Section 4(2)(d) is amended to read:
βask the question βWhat political party do you think this trade union should donate to, if it should donate to one at all?β,β
(c) Section 4(2)(e) is amended to read:
βprovide the option of voting for any one political party, and the option to not donate to any political party,β
(d) Section 4(2)(f) is amended to read:
βallow those eligible to vote to do so for no less than seven (7) days, andβ
(e) Section 4(5) is amended to read:
βThe requirements in this Section will come into effect one year after enactment.β
(f) Add a subsection to Section 2 that reads:
βAny trade union representing a group of workers in which a majority are employed in a field that is primarily involved with applicable public services must provide at least 21 days notice prior to performing industrial action, or the industrial action is not protected.β
(2) The following sections of the Trade Union Funding and Ballot Requirements Act 2019 are hereby repealed, and all remaining sections are renumbered accordingly:
(a) Section 2(1)(a),
(b) Section 2(1)(b),
(c) Section 2(2) and all subsections thereof, and
(d) Section 4(4)
Section 2: Extent, Commencement, and Short Title
(1) This Act extends to England, Wales, and Scotland. This act extends to England and Wales and Scotland.

(1) The Trade Union and Labour Relation Repeal Act 2017 is repealed.
(2) The Trade Union and Labour Relation Act 2016 is revived.
Section 2: Commencement, Short Title, and Extent
(1) This bill shall come into force six months after receiving Royal Assent.
(2) This Act may be cited as the Trade Union and Labour Relation Revival Act 2018.
(3) This bill shall extend to the United Kingdom.
