COACHING SEARCH
The Lions do not need a new head coach or anything like that, but they do have a vacancy at offensive coordinator after parting ways with Anthony Lynn. The big question here will be whether or not Dan Campbell wishes to retain play-calling himself or not. When head coaches do the play-calling themselves, the coordinator position really becomes the spot for their right-hand man/advisor, the most consistent voice in their head set helping them figure out what personnel the defense has on the field, what they may want to come back to etc. Essentially it becomes an advisory/input role rather than the formal developer and coordinator and caller of plays. Here's a list of some guys who check out as options, either due to league-wide hype or connection to Campbell:
Looking at this list, the first three external options are intriguing if Campbell is planning to give the new offensive coordinator play-calling, but likely would be in line for promotions to offensive coordinator at their current destinations if their offensive coordinators get snatched. From this group, Ken Dorsey is probably the most attractive, as the Bills have the most stylistically similar offense to the Lions, and his work with Josh Allen has been terrific thus far.
Overall, however, I do think the Lions keep this as an internal hire, likely promoting Ben Johnson from tight ends coach to offensive coordinator, thanks to his growing role in the offensive game plan, notably in the passing game. He also has prior experience with Campbell from their time in Miami, making this a pretty easy decision. So Detroit promotes Ben Johnson.
They'd then have to find a new tight ends coach, easy enough, and not overly important given both Campbell and Johnson have been TE coaches themselves.

[Money Guy Show](https://podcasts.google.com/feed/aHR |
I watched Wes Anderson's Isle of Dogs a while ago. It was overall a generally decent movie with beautiful visuals, a good soundtrack, and nice chemistry between Atari, Chief, and Spots. The film is probably the most Japanese Western film ever made what with the architecture, clothing, woodblock art, almost all of the named human characters (barring Tracy Walker and Interpreter Nelson) and the language, most of which is not translated (aside from the interpreters and blocks of text), not to mention that Anderson named Akira Kurosawa and Hayao Miyazaki as the biggest inspirations behind Isle of Dogs along with Rankin/Bass, The Plague Dogs, Come Home, Snoopy and 101 Dalmatians. The crew even had one Japanese writer (Kunichi Nomura) on board and he voiced the film's main antagonist, Mayor Kobayashi.
With all that said, there were debates over the movie's depiction of Japanese culture with some seeing it as "cultural appropriation" while others saw it as an affectionate tribute. As noted earlier, Isle of Dogs has tons of Japanese cultural references including (but not limited to) taiko drums, haiku, samurai, sumo, kabuki, cherry blossoms, sushi, mushroom clouds, Zen gardens, wasabi, Yakuza and an incident inspired by the Fukushima nuclear plant disaster in 2011. For comparison's sake, it would be like if a Japanese anime studio made a movie set in a fictional American metropolis in the future sending its dogs to an uninhabited island off the coast with almost all of the humans being voiced by Western voice actors while the dogs were voiced by big name Japanese film/TV actors and it was inspired by the likes of Walt Disney and Steven Spielberg with a lot of nods to American culture (i.e. football and burgers). It should be noted that Anderson has said that Isle of Dogs is not meant to be an accurate depiction of any particular period in Japanese history hence why Atari becomes mayor of Megasaki despite being too young and not having a seat in the Shugiin (House of Representatives) or the Sangiin (House of Councilors), that said his crew did look to 1950s-60s Showa era culture for reference in crafting the world in addition to basing Trash Island on the real-life Hashima Island off the coast of Nagasaki.
There were also complaints about Tracy as a "white savior" because of her role as the leader of a pro-Dog activist group and the one who recovers the cure for canine flu as well as ending up with Atari despite him never personally knowing her

Oh Lord, there was so much that I canβt even remember some of it, but most of it was about her and Fessyβs relationship. And it was a wild ride.
She gets asked why she was not there for Ashley the night Ashley had a meltdown over Nelson and Berna, and it was because she was so drunk that she was passed out. There were no limitations to how much they could drink on nights they go out, so she and 7 other cast members got shit faced to the point they caused tons of drama with the crew etc. and even tried fighting the security guards. When they got home she wouldnβt walk upstairs to her bed, she demanded security carry her up and they went back and forth until security did it for her. She wouldnβt say who the other cast were, but they were so out of control drunk that after that those 8 were not allowed to drink anymore and the rest of the house were put on limitations and punished for what those 8 did, so they were angry now too. She said if you see people just sort of standing or sitting around during bar scenes itβs because they were upset by the new restrictions. Eventually production allowed them all to drink again but it was a 2 drink per person limit after.
There were a lot of hookups not shown, and a lot of the cast were hooking up in the bathroom. She said certain girls were giving tons of blowjobs out in the bathroom and she was grossed out by it because she heard one girl gave a guy a BJ while he was sitting on the toilet and thatβs dirty to her. She feels if you sign up for a show like this you sign up to be recorded all the time so those bathroom hookups shouldnβt be allowed to be kept secret. She yelled at the camera people for not following people into bathrooms lol.
She said the rookies were actually great this season but in some cases the language barrier was hard, mostly for Tracie and Gabo. The show isnβt showing us how hard it was for him because his English was so limited. He could speak well but when he was spoken to, fast etc. he couldnβt understand. He didnβt understand most instructions for challenges etc. so the cast had to try and explain it to him every time. However, she loved him and Tracie, and they were so sweet and kind and gentle. She was sad when Tracie left, said she was the sweetest person.
Logan barely spoke to anyone the first few weeks besides Josh because Josh speaks Spanish. Logan felt comfortable with him because of that.
Michaela was ostracized before the note thing happened and they used the not
Right now we have about 40 mil in capspace. But we also have a good amount of in building resigns we need to get done.
Resigns:
D for Definitely bring back assuming it's a reasonable contract.
M for Maybe bring back.
Tracy Walker (D)
Alex Anzalone (D)
Josh Reynolds (M)
Evan Brown (D)
Jack Fox (D)
Charles Harris (M)
Jalen Reevis Maybin (M)
Riley Patterson (D)
Godwin Igwebuike (M)
Scott Daly (D)
David Blough (M)
The following are the guys we could cut for big savings:
Trey flowers
Vaitai (I wouldnt cut him, he's play well and we wouldn't be able to get any one of his level cheaper that what we save by cutting him)
Going forward I'll assume we keep vaitai and cut Trey.
After cutting trey post June 1stΒ we now have 55 mil in cap.
Tracy, Fox, Anzalone are only big in building signing. I expect we hit FA with at least 40 mil. (Tracy will at most be getting like 8 mil yearly probably less. It will also be back loaded like most contracts)
So going into FA and draft I'll expect about 40mil of capspace give or take 5ish mil.
Our needs are the following.
Desperately need:
I like cephus and Amon, but neither guy is a true wr 1 and maybe not wr 2.
Trey should gone and who know if romeo can comeback 100%. Even of he does, lions need a dominat pass rusher.
Harris is just awful, our saftey play opposite of Tracy actively makes others look worse.
-ILB1
I like Alex in the room but he should not be a MLB1 he should be a MLB3 maybe 2 if desperate.
Goff ain't it. At best he's a stop gap qb.
We could use:
I like okudah, played better week 1 more than people gave him credit. Amani is a decent cb2 as well. I was high iffy pre draft. Jerry and Aj have both flashed talent. All that being said the only proven talent is Amani and he isnt. Cb1. Okudah could be but Achilles is a hard thing to come back from. We aren't desperate but I'm not against getting a corner
Vaitai and jonah have both played well enough. And play better with ragnow on the field. Vaitai is kinda expensive tho, if we can get a cheaper player to replace him it would be nice but not 100% needed.
It's painful watching us run 12 personnel sometimes. We could use something better at te 2. Don't need to break the bank or use a high pick but it would nice to have some one who can provide some value there.
I like Barnes, but he still developing and not p
... keep reading on reddit β‘So I had been intending on completing the set of proteges before the last episode aired; but I underestimated the brain drain from reading through Traci 13's comic catalogue. I still have one (good) series to read from her before I can give the full deep dive for her, but in the meantime, thought that I should give some detail on some of the other magical characters of the Zatanna arc.
So, here's a deep dive for Madame Xanadu.
Comic Version: When Xanadu was first created, she was a host for mystery/horror stories, a common archetype at the time seen in House of Mystery and House of Secrets, amongst other works. Xanadu's framing device was her store; clients would come to her with problems, and in the resolution to these problems (which Xanadu could advise but not interfere with [except when she does]) Xanadu would capture a souvenir of the adventure, placing it on display in a crystal case at her shop.
As she evolved, she became involved with the wider mystic and superhero community, offering divinatory services and auspices. And in particular, became involved with the Spectre during the 80s. She did so through a Simulacrum of herself, Kim Liang, essentially a magical clone created without its memories and such that would eventually be reabsorbed. Her goal was gaining the Spectre's power. She would be blinded by the Spectre in Day of Vengeance, removing the Clairvoyant's greatest strength.
Now, the form and backstory that many know didn't come into her character until the 2008 Vertigo series which led into the New 52. Here, it was established that she was Nimue Inwudu, a fey of pre-Arthurian briton, who became involved with Merlin, Morgaine le Fay and others. And through history, was manipulated by Phantom Stranger into having a role with the Alan Scott Green Lantern, Spectre, Zatara and others. Here, it showed her gaining the name Xanadu within the court of Kublai Khan. It also showed her relationship with a woman, which ended tragically in the witch trials.
The New 52 kept some elements of this; but largely simplified it. Now she was a lover to Etrigan and Jason Blood. Responsible to separating Enchantress and June Moore at the start, and not a whole lot else, aside from her usual divinatory role.
Set up: Xanadu is introduced in Season One, proprieter of a shop in New Orleans that provides phoney medium services. She's a charlatan, and gets called out as such by Kent Nelson, her latest client. He does note that she has an

First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
