A list of puns related to "Toll roads in Australia"
I didn't see you spin out but when I caught up to you 5-10 minutes later, you were stuck in a ditch with your car resting on the front and rear bumpers with all of your wheels spinning. Hope a tow truck gets to you... eventually.
Every toll road operator has their own tags and billing system, yet they are all interoperable across the country.
Why is there not one tag system, run by a company that is owned by the road operators (Transurban, ConnectEast, various state/local govts)
So when are the temporary tolls for building 417 etc going to end? The tolls were passed to cover the construction costs.
So I just got a new job across town. The only ways to get there are via the 635 or the George Bush. I just did a calculation of how much it would cost me to drive the GB and it was $8 bucks one way! That means it would cost me $16 every day to get to and from work and $401 a month!
Who can even afford this? I mean I make a good wage but even I think that's a major rip off.
I wouldn't mind taking the 635 if it wasn't always a nightmare to drive through but it almost seems like they keep it messed up so you have to take GB.
So to anyone who takes the toll road across town daily, How do you manage?
What would happen if you type in a smaller number or a bigger number? What would the difference be? Plesse explain.
I have not driven in the republic in years. The toll at Dundalk used to be cash only. Is it still the same or with covid do they not accept cards? Thanks.
