A list of puns related to "Tokyo Fiancée"
There's something to be said about learning to be a woman from a dude in drag.
This episode was funny, even for this zany series. Aaron Roberts has a great falsetto, and Mei messed anything and everything up while the not-geisha scolds and/or whacks her was hilarious. Mei escaping painter kid's anime wall slam thing was funny, too.
Mei continues to be adorable and give us the best Meifaces money can buy. And at the rate this show's going Mei is going to supplant Garo Vanishing Line's Sophie as my favorite Madeleine Morris character.
We are going to Tokyo for our honeymoon in October. I know a bit of the language from learning it in college years ago, and she is Chinese so knows how to at least read a bit of the written language (though not spoken obviously). So recommendations on where to get English guide books and Japanese phrase books would also be appreciated. We are spending 7 to 8 days in Tokyo and surrounding areas. I know I would like to visit Akihabara and I want to spend a bit in Tokyo proper. What other tourist attractions are there in the surrounding area? Also any recommendations on hotels and/or restaurants would be greatly appreciated, she would prefer to stay in a traditional house over a hotel if that is possible.
The Gothic Princess and, dare to say, Zarathustra's lover -- these words I would like to use describing this writer. I had enough time to read just two of her novels and, oh boy, what novels they were! Firstly, the writing style is incredibly light and pure (despite of all sudden waves of absurd). For some reasons the narrative reminded me about Woolf (the same ease and lightness?). Secondly, the language is delicious. Unfortunately, I can't read French so made do with a translation but even that didn't tarnish the impression. Though I didn't came here just to write my opininon. It would be really nice to discuss this piece of art with fellow readers.
** Please be aware that English is not my first language. Sorry for any mistakes.
I am not socially active in Reddit but I got to the point, where I really need some second opinions from you.
Storytime
In 2018, I came to Japan as an exchange student, met with my SO (Japanese) at university and started dating. Everything was perfect. After the 1-year exchange was over, I went back to my country to finish my BSc in Europe and we had a long-distance relationship for 1,5 years. During that, we only met once - just before Corona became a thing in my country - around 2020 March. It was kinda tough because there was an 8 hour time difference and I was also very busy finishing my degree. Anyways, I graduated and to be with him I applied for another 1-year programme - got it but due to Corona the arrival to Japan got postponed and instead of 2020 September, I came in 2021 January. Things between us were/is perfect again. During the program (and nowadays as well) we could see each other every 2nd weekend or once a month. It really depends - yet it's still LDR because I'm in Tokyo and he's living in Osaka with his parents. The program I came with already finished but I managed to get a job so that I could stay longer in Japan with him.
We had our 3 year anniversary not so long ago and he (24) proposed to me (26). Recently we sat down and had a serious talk about moving together before marriage, etc. The thing is - my company is very flexible and has more western-style thinking and structure than a normal Japanese one and I really love it. I am working as a software engineer but am still a newbie. He doesn't have any kind of qualifications, went to university where he basically studied culture and languages (which he can't speak - the communication between us is also in Japanese 99% of the time) and now has a typical "businessman" sales job with normal salary for almost a year and he's okay with it because there is no overtime and really close to where he lives.
During these 3 years, we talked and dreamt of living together and he always said that he can't wait for it and I am SO ready to move in with him, I really love him. At first, the plan was that he'll move to Tokyo and find a job here but turns out that he doesn't want to move anymore because he's afraid of changing jobs. He basically said that he just started working at his current company (~1 year) and if he quits it won't look good on his CV and can be a negative (as a previous work experie

Hello everyone, it’s been about 2 months since the peeshow started and i’ve gotten a lot of messages and comments recently asking for an update and in general most of them were nice and lovely (as always there’s of course exceptions but at this point of my existence i’m resigned to them and assume are just part of internet culture).
First of all i’d like to apologize for taking so long to update, i know there’s a lot of people very curious about everything that’s happened with Ted’s family but i just needed some time to process things but here i am sharing yet another miserable piece of this story so you can all be in peace. I’d also like to welcome the Facebook people, i appreciate people telling me where they’re coming from because i didn’t know the power of reddit before i made my first AITA post.
Anyway, Ted asked me for time apart, he himself is going through a lot of things and has a lot of feelings that me being with him makes worse. He has a lot of guilt and opening so many closets with skeletons and facing them is a lot to ask of anyone. We’re not officially divorced but we are not looking for new houses together either. We are still in the process of selling our old place so he’s been staying there while i stay with my parents. I don’t know what’s going to happen once the sale of our place is finalized or what he wants to do but i promised him space so yeah, there’s that. He did give me permission to update you all because despite some hateful messages and comments most of you are incredibly sweet and helpful.
Here’s the breakdown of Ted’s family tree updated counting the sisters.
B stands for brother (of ted’s), S stands for Sister
B#1 doctor with some type of military background. Wife, 3 kids. B#2 surgeon, wife, 2 dogs and a bearded dragon B#3 engineer, fiancé and dog B#4 teacher and researcher, wife, 1 kid S #1 B#5 ??? Works in IT not sure of details, w
... keep reading on reddit ➡I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. Secondly, it doesn't automatically make it a dad joke if it's from a conversation between you and your child. Most importantly, the jokes that your CHILDREN tell YOU are not dad jokes. The point of a dad joke is that it's so cheesy only a dad who's trying to be funny would make such a joke. That's it. They are stupid plays on words, lame puns and so on. There has to be a clever pun or wordplay for it to be considered a dad joke.
Again, to all the fellow dads, I apologise if I'm sounding too harsh. But I just needed to get it off my chest.
Alot of great jokes get posted here! However just because you have a joke, doesn't mean it's a dad joke.
THIS IS NOT ABOUT NSFW, THIS IS ABOUT LONG JOKES, BLONDE JOKES, SEXUAL JOKES, KNOCK KNOCK JOKES, POLITICAL JOKES, ETC BEING POSTED IN A DAD JOKE SUB
Try telling these sexual jokes that get posted here, to your kid and see how your spouse likes it.. if that goes well, Try telling one of your friends kid about your sex life being like Coca cola, first it was normal, than light and now zero , and see if the parents are OK with you telling their kid the "dad joke"
I'm not even referencing the NSFW, I'm saying Dad jokes are corny, and sometimes painful, not sexual
So check out r/jokes for all types of jokes
r/unclejokes for dirty jokes
r/3amjokes for real weird and alot of OC
r/cleandadjokes If your really sick of seeing not dad jokes in r/dadjokes
Punchline !
Edit: this is not a post about NSFW , This is about jokes, knock knock jokes, blonde jokes, political jokes etc being posted in a dad joke sub
Edit 2: don't touch the thermostat
Do your worst!
How the hell am I suppose to know when it’s raining in Sweden?
Ants don’t even have the concept fathers, let alone a good dad joke. Keep r/ants out of my r/dadjokes.
But no, seriously. I understand rule 7 is great to have intelligent discussion, but sometimes it feels like 1 in 10 posts here is someone getting upset about the jokes on this sub. Let the mods deal with it, they regulate the sub.
They were cooked in Greece.
I'm surprised it hasn't decade.
Now that I listen to albums, I hardly ever leave the house.
Don't you know a good pun is its own reword?
Two muffins are in an oven, one muffin looks at the other and says "is it just me, or is it hot in here?"
Then the other muffin says "AHH, TALKING MUFFIN!!!"
For context I'm a Refuse Driver (Garbage man) & today I was on food waste. After I'd tipped I was checking the wagon for any defects when I spotted a lone pea balanced on the lifts.
I said "hey look, an escaPEA"
No one near me but it didn't half make me laugh for a good hour or so!
Edit: I can't believe how much this has blown up. Thank you everyone I've had a blast reading through the replies 😂
It really does, I swear!
Because she wanted to see the task manager.
But that’s comparing apples to oranges
And boy are my arms legs.
And now I’m cannelloni
