A list of puns related to "Timeline of epochs in cosmology"
I have:
I want:
I'm curious about weird dreamy modulation (a la rainbow machine). Maybe a chorus/vibrato. Maybe one of those plus a transparent/low-gain OD. Don't care about super rare/obscure, but want to avoid the ubiquitous GC brands.
The idea of Great Old Ones and their related lore and archetypes (Warlocks, Blood Hunters) always feel like popular picks among players. However, creating the cosmology of a playable world, I always struggle to fit their fantasy in. Representing these beings truly lovecraftian makes the playable world and "oficial" pantheon feel irrelevant. However, I fear and feel that weakening these beings to the influence of a "traditional" pantheon breaks fantasy, which would be unpleasant for interested players.
TL;DR: My campaign currently has one player related to a Great Old One patron and I have little idea on how to address it without making the world feel irrelevant.
I'm looking for ideas, ways other DMs have addressed this, opinions of other fantasy and sci-fi fans, anything someone can contribute with.
Edit: Thanks for all the great answers so far! I'm already looking forward to incorporating some of these ideas to my game.
I need to prove that the auto-correlation function of the density perturbations between point X and point Y only depends on the relative distance R = abs(X-Y) between those two points in real space. Off course the cosmological principle applies meaning that the Probability distributions can be translated (homogeneity) and rotated (isotropy) and still have the same form. I don't see how the correlation function is not just constant in this case, since the probability distribution is constant through space (at least this is how I interpret it). Any tips?
Edit: thanks for al the help; think I got it!
In past videos, he's also interviewed intellectual giants such as Sir Roger Penrose, Stephen Hawking, founder of string theory Gabriele Veneziano, Alan Guth, and many other brilliant minds. This guy does amazing work and his channel is vastly under recognized. Please check it out and show skydivephil and team some love. Tell them Trikki sent you :P

Just a few extra points l should make; -Save your super for the high value target that spawns in the doorway. He can be a pain. -This isn't perfect. Sometimes the adds take longer to spawn. Leaving the room and killing an add or two sometimes helps. But for the most part you'll just be sitting back by the door bodyshotting wenches and avoiding shanks. -We've noticed it goes a lot smoother by yourself. Having friends with you or curious blueberries around seems to mess with i it. Just load back in if you need to. -Enemies moving against each other is going to raise your percentage a lot faster so take a break to kill some every time you see it come up. -I'd love to take credit for this but this was actually found by my best friend, Kate. So thank her and Bungie for the countless masterworked Graviton Lances you're bound to see from now on π RIP Crucible.
A follow up question: How many other ways can branes interact with one another?

After much deliberation, I think Iβve finally settled upon the underlying theory for my system of magic systems. Fair warning: I am a mathematician by training. As such, my system of systems has been inspired by aspects of mathematics or physics.
My cosmology is multiversal, but every individual universe occurs as part of a quadruplet of four interrelated universesβthe standard βnuclear familyβ of the multiverse, if you will. I like to visualize each quadruplet as the four corners of a square.
One of the βbig ideasβ of mathematics is the principle of βdualityβ. It occurs in many, many different ways; itβs not so much of a rule as it is a pattern of patterns. The simplest example can be seen in lingusitics, where there is a duality between βthe signifiedβ (stuff) and βthe signifierβ (the words/names we use to refer to stuff). So, the big, woody, leafy plant things that are all over the place outside (also known as βtreesβ) are the objects (the signified) indicated by the word βtree(s)β (the signifier). A more mathematical example would be multiplication of numbers. On the one hand, we can think of numbers like 2 and 3 as mathematical object that we can manipulate using operations like addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. On the other hand, if we consider a particular process (such as multiplication), we can consider numbers as processes in their own right. Thus, we can think of the number 2 not just as a lonely little integer floating out there in the void, but as process that acts on numbers by way of multiplication: feed 3 to 2, and you get 2 x 3 = 6. That is, we think of 2 as β2 xββa thing waiting for another number to act uponβrather than merely as a number in its own right. Thus, we can think of numbers as both things (a number) and processes (the process of multiplying by a given number) Yes, this made my head hurt, too, when I first learned about it. Math does that to people.
My square of universes displays two different types of duality at work. The upper left-hand corner, I call the Prime; the upper right-hand corner, I call the Dual; the lower left-hand corner, I call the Fand (name still tentative); the lower right-hand corner, the DualFand (the latter two names are still only tentative). If you fill out the mathematical details, the square is an example of a commutative diagram.
The starting point of my approach is to invoke the metaphysical concept of [panpsychism](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pan
