A list of puns related to "Ticket quota"
Today I overheard a Herndon police officer say βas long as you write 8-10 tickets, they leave you alone.β
Canβt stop thinking about this. Is that per week? Month? Day!?
Be careful on the roads but especially in Herndon! Hope the VA police association succeeds in getting quotas outlawed in our state.

I just started about a week and a half ago. My store (in a pretty big/populated college town) sets loyalty goals for at least one navyist for every hour in your shift and 1 or 2 ONCs. Iβve gotten none. Iβm just not good at it. Ive worked about 5 shifts and Iβve changed my approach at least three times but nothing. One of my SSL leaders made a really big deal about it on my last shift and it makes me hate going to work already. I also didnβt fill out any ticket to win surveys so far because I just think theyβre stupid and I donβt want to ask my manager for the required feedback because theyβre most likely going to berate me for not getting any reward enrollments. If I get harassed about it again, Iβm going to have to go to my doctor to officially diagnose my autism (which Iβve been super hesitant about) just so I donβt have to worry about it anymore.
Finally a piece of legislation that makes sense. Of course the opposition somehow drummed up a way to defend keeping the practice:
"Las Vegas Metro Police lobbyist Chuck Callaway said he worried the bill would limit management's ability to ensure officers were sufficiently responding to complaints if they aren't issuing a certain number of citations." βA supervisor needs to be able to have that conversation with employees that they need to get out and address crime that's occurring," he said.
I've heard this now several times, from different sources including cops, that they have to give out w certain amount of tickets by the end of the month. If this is true, why? That is plain awful. Not only to civilians but also for the cops themselves. I'd feel real shitty if in order to keep my job I had to give out a certain number of tickets by the end of the time frame. Of course it's good to ticket the ignorant dumbass cars that ride ass, cut without signal and speed through red lights, but like idk something doesn't seem right here.
The only thing it does is make police target and harass innocent people so that they can write as many tickets as possible. Give the money they make from actual fines back to the city/community instead of the police departments. They shouldn't be profiting directly off of the amount of people they charge.
EDIT**
Guys no need to downvote I just thought in Vancouver that some of us might have wondered about it once in their lives living here.
Like when I pass a speed trap on near Knights bridge, it makes me think. Not down playing the goal of it, just asking out of curiosity
P.s: i never said I got a ticket either.
I got four tickets in one weekend that arenβt making much sense.
I was previously under the impression that passengers arenβt required by NYS law to wear eye protection. Vehicle and Traffic Law Section 381(7) only mandates eye protection for primary operator of motorcycle. Anyways, I was ticketed for:
They were stopping every motorcycle getting on the Qboro at 2nd and 59th, and handing out tickets like candy without much words. Possibly just to increase their odds against disputes and no-guilty pleads.
The last two I found yesterday upon uncovering my bike. I did some reading here and concluded that unless you are already in violation (illegally parked for example) you cannot be ticketed for covering your plates. Hence riders who have parked (legally) and covered for years without getting tickets.
Can anyone confirm my suspicions that these incompetent NYPiggies are recklessly mistaken here and not me? How do I fight these because itβs my words against theirs for #2 and #4?
