A list of puns related to "The X Factor (Australian TV series)"
It was a TV series, the kind of informative, exploratory series about different topics. One that I remember specifically called "the cool factor" or "the search for cool" or something. It was about what is cool and how the advertising companies figure out what is currently cool. I remember part of it was about ICP and their rise to fame from underground music to mainstream, and a part about how ad execs put together focus groups to figure out the next "cool" thing.
This was mid to late 90's, if that helps.
IMO, itβs going to be Dennis Schroder. I donβt think the Blazers have anyone that can really stick with him when heβs handling the ball. If he can perform very well in most games this series. We win without a doubt. Whoβs your X-Factor?
Jesus my ears! This is the biggest load of brown I've ever seen and heard.
Contestants are being chosen based on their likeability/ personality/ looks rather than their vocal capabilities/ entertainment factor which seems to be lacking a bit anyways...
They are all copying a ballad format that has already been established in the industry many years ago and seems quite dated.
The idea of how manufactured this whole process is is so unrealistic too. Having seen first hand the blood sweat and tears that goes into progressing musically, its also quite insulting that these artists don't yet experience the hardships of the industry.
Also, I might add that I find Simon and Nicole commenting on barely legal teenagers looks seems kind of inappropriate and a little perverted, and makes me kind of uncomfortable.
I think they should just wrap up this show now, I can't imagine a lot of people are actually tuning into this crap. Hmm.
Something I wouldnβt have thought about, pointed out in this clip here by Kevin OβConnor.
Edit: I have watched most of the popular American drama & thrillers already. But if there are some new or not very popular ones, will really be thankful the suggestions.
There is an old TV series from Australia, Spellbinder (1995). I will try not to spoil for people who haven't watched it (it is good), but part of it involves slightly fantastical technology, most of it powered by "power stones". They are an orange semi-opaque mineral that is cut into small half-cylinders or big blocks depending on the technology they are to power. The people who use them expose them to lightning striking from some sort of power generator, which seems to charge them with stored electricity. The power stones are then used until they run out of power, at which point they are recharged. In short, it is a mineral capable of storing electric energy for later use, in practice working like a rechargable battery.
The TV series is fiction, of course. What I am asking is, according to real-world science, is there, or could there be, such a mineral, a mineral capable of storing electric power and release them under the right circumstances (in the series, drawing out power from the stones seems to involve increasing the voltage across the technology the stones power).

Just thought y'all might be interested to know she is continuing her singing journey.
Australian here, kaise ho? I have just finished watching this TV series, which follows are group of Indian people while they explore Australia and its culture in light of recent claims that Australians are racist. In part due to a lot of racially motivated attacks. First of all I want to know what everyone's first impressions of Australians are, through the media, if you know of anyone who has been to or lives in Australia, there experiences and the impression you've gotten from them.
I'm of European decent and my experience of Australia has been more or less peaceful (apart from schoolyard confrontations growing up, but that goes without saying). After watching the series I can definitely see why foreigners and non-white Australians may feel unsafe and it actually made me feel a bit ashamed of my countrymen.
I have several Indian friends who I go to university here in Melbourne with and I have been to India (Dehli, UP and Maharashtra) so I have been able to experience Indian culture from its source. Of course in India I did come across slight amounts of hostility myself, but nothing compared to the experiences the people in this series faced. Everyone was quite welcoming and no one called me a 'gora bhenchod' haha
To expand on this, here's the blurb:
"Diverse Australians living in judgement confront prejudice and discrimination head-on. The show asks the hard questions and turns the answers into surprising moments of honesty and heart-warming humour."
Basically, it's pairs of people facing the camera sitting on stools. They pick questions from a stack of card in front of them. The questions come from the public - basically what someone would love to ask them if it were socially acceptable.
Such as: Are you a retard? (Down syndrome episode) or How can you have sex with ugly people? (Sex workers episode)
The question I liked most on the "Alcoholics" episode was: Are you boring now that you are sober?
The series is on ABC Iview: https://iview.abc.net.au/show/you-can-t-ask-that
I don't know whether you can access it in your country; you might switch on your VPN in that case.

P.S. To alleviate concerns you might have about someone pushing private and/or political agendas, this is the opening statement on the Wiki about the ABC:
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is Australia's national broadcaster founded in 1929. It is currently principally funded by direct grants from the Australian government, but is expressly independent of government and partisan politics.
EDIT: forgot a word.
Recently the former Australian video game review TV show Good Game (unrelated to the Game Grumps series) have been uploading to YouTube full episodes of the show, including the ones featuring Ross' early animated series Gamer Tonight featuring Arin. I've been sifting through the episodes trying to find all of the segments and here they are for everyone to watch.
