A list of puns related to "The Symbol Remains"
Today, Mark Cuban got fined $500,000 by NBA commissioner Adam Silver. Tonight, at the Mavs game against the Memphis Grizzlies, he is wearing a shirt that has various money symbols on it. There are three commas on the left sleeve, as there are in a billionaireโs bank account, and he just so happens to be a millionaire. Interesting message being sent by him, I guess.

It's a small thing but I find it really annoying and confusing.
and that that's where the company gets its name
based on their reactions, I think it might be the only thing they've learned this year.
According to this official Pokemon Go article, following bug fixes will be available in the upcoming update.
The following issues are under investigation.
In case you didn't know a person playing Gru at one of the Universal theme parks was recently fired for making the OK symbol during some photo with an African American child. The fact is the photo was taken in March. Attention about the OK symbol being a white supremacist thing didn't get brought to national attention until April with the New Zealand shooter. The family didn't even notice until August of this year.
The individual was fired without any kind of actual investigation. It is a huge presumption to assume that someone is white supremacist for making the OK symbol. That hand gesture has been around for a century now. Beyond that most people in their 20s and 30s grew up with "the circle game" where someone would make a circle with their fingers and put it below their waist to make someone look at it, and if they did they would be punched. I honestly kind of think that's what the individual was doing in said picture.
I think both the family and Universal are at fault for their firing. The family for presuming said individual was a white supremacist with little to no evidence, and Universal for bowing to their demands. If the individual is innocent, which lets face it is likely the case, he or she should file a lawsuit against both parties. I would support any kind of crowd funding effort to that effect as well. I think it would be easy enough to prove you aren't a white supremacist by showing your internet history and having friends and family testify to your character.
I also see this as our esteemed cancel culture finally affecting just the average person. Someone does something innocent and they are immediate labeled and condemned without any kind of due process. This is simply fundamentally wrong and something that every decent human being in our society should fight against.
If said person is out there and reads this by any chance you should make the effort to fight this, and I know that many others will support you in this.
There is this phenomenon that often makes a musicianโs logo or album cover art explode in the public sphere. Itโs quite possible to see somebody wearing a T-shirt with the Beatles crossing abbey Road, with the banana from velvet underground, with the prism and rainbow from Pink Floyd. And yet I wonder if this is not a phenomenon that has been taken too far. If, quite possibly, The icon/image has not been taken up into a whole new world of its own. Of course, many people know the banana belongs to the velvet underground album, but many people just see it as a trendy and innovative artwork by Andy Warhol and have no idea who the Velvet Underground is. Another one would be the Rolling Stones tongue, we have seen this tongue everywhere and people just associate it with a โcool artworkโ some dont even know its the Rolling Stones. Often times itโs just a face of a musician that becomes popular without people really even knowing the musician. This would be people like Jimi Hendrix and Jim Morrison, so many T-shirts and graffiti art have their images but so many people donโt even know who they are, they just know their face.
It really astonishes me how separated the actual music can be from these symbols. They take up a whole new world of their own. Some people like the symbols but not the musicians. It may not seem true, but just take a look around, especially in a very public places like the shopping mall or a bar. I think this trait is more common among women but also with many men too, especially those in their 20s and 30s.
But then you were going to protest how I am worrying too much about something and that I should just let people be who they are. Live and let live. But often times these symbols and images (of the musician or of the album) become misappropriated and exploited.
it's so goofy
The title says it all he's not a good guy (based on all the stories I hear) and a bad team owner (obviously)...
