A list of puns related to "The Karate Kid Part II"
In the ending of Karate Kid 2, Daniel and Chosen engaged in a brutal death match. With the help of a secret technique, he was able to gain the upper hand and Chozen was defeated and at his mercy.
But what if Chozen still had some fight left in him?
Scenario: After Daniel performs the drum technique , Chozen still puts up a fight. For a small time, they keep fighting . Seeing no other option, Daniel lands a final haymaker to the throat, and down goes Chozen.
Miyagi accepts it because Daniel was about to die.But he notices something. The kill has done something to Daniel. He's still sort of there, but he has become a more darker ,serious person. Miyagi notices this , and for the duration of the time they're there, Miyagi steps up Daniel's training so that he may never have to perform a lethal blow again.
(In canon, this is the opposite of Daniel slacking off in the three months between KK2 and KK3. So this darker Daniel trains even harder instead of slacking. ).
They go back to America. Karate Kid 3 happens.
How will this affect the movie? What changes from Daniel's character and skills? What happens when Terry Silver and the gang encounter this Daniel? Daniel vs Barnes?
In a fight to the death between Ivan Drago from Rocky IV and Chozen Toguchi from The Karate Kid Part II, who would win and why?
Long Post:
Now, I have been a fan of the first two Karate Kid movies ever since I was a kid. I loved them, I rooted for Daniel , loved it when he overcame the stakes he found himself in. He grew as a fighter , but as a man. Karate Kid 2, I loved it. I was just irritated by how they had ruined Ali's character by saying that she cheated on Daniel and ruined his car. I wanted to address how I would fix that.
Karate Kid 2: He goes to prom with her. It goes well. A few days later, she says that her parents sent her away to college in Europe. They both reluctantly agree that a long distance relationship wouldn't work and they part ways. He goes to Miyagi all mad, Miyagi gives him the breathing exercises and the construction work ,same as canon. Oh yeah, I want to make it a point that Daniel had kept up his karate training with Miyagi ever since the tournament ended.
Now , for the movie that I really want to change : Karate Kid 3
How I would improve the movie and try to give it a worthy sendoff to the franchise:
Make a timeSkip: It was no secret Ralph Macchio's looks started to catch up with his age so I would skip the movie 4-5 years later after the second movie.
Daniel: They made him weak, unsure, more stubborn and pudgy, while diminishing his skills so much in this movie, where it should have been at its best. So I'll keep him a strong fighter. Have him grow from the death match with Chozen. Also, make him lean and muscular and not out of shape. Almost Bruce Lee-like, not Arnold.
Mike Barnes: This is someone who I hated very much. Like I was just annoyed with his loud personality. He was a big step-down from Chozen, who I was really intimidated by. He's almost a carbon coby of Johnny. The movie is also a bit illogical, in that Daniel is so scared of fighting Barnes and being so threatened by him, when he went through much higher stakes in the first two films. So Iβll still have him as a henchman, but he wonβt be given as much focus.
Remove Silver, make Kreese the main antagonist. Kreese is going to seek revenge on Daniel, and believes heβll succeed without Miyagi to come in and foil his plans.
Miyagi: I wonβt have Miyagi in the movie as much. This will allow for Daniel coming into his own, becoming his own man. Relying on Miyagi to bail him out when situations are so dire, he can't fight back, would get repetitive. Which happened in the third movie so many times. Also, where was Yukie? Why did he leave her? What will hap
It was called βWelcome Back Kataβ
It doesn't sit well with me how the final fight in Karate Kid II ended. The drum technique was apparently one of the core techniques in Miyagi family style of fighting. But throughout it all Miyagi says the main teachings of his style is to avoid a fight unless absolutely necessary, but then at the end Daniel equates the technique to pummeling the shit out of Chozen and the music swells as though he has mastered the technique and that was it's intention all along.
Earlier in the movie with the giant hook it's already established as a dodging technique, and I feel that's how it should play out in the final fight. Make the platform they are on have a bigger drop, so if they fall off they won't just get wet but potentially die. Then when all the drums come out Daniel gets into the stance and Chozen gives him a left right left punch combo, but he turns each time and dodges, Chozen stumbles forward and is infuriated he goes for a final enraged charge (possibly grabbing the knife off the ground and going in for a stab) but Daniel does the step aside again and Chozen falls off the platform. Daniel catches him in time and his holding onto his arm as he is slipping. The rest pretty much plays out the same with "live or die" "wrong answer" "Honk".
I know it's a bit generic but Daniel managing to out punch his opponent into submission just feels so bland to me
Thoughts?
"[F]or man with no forgiveness in heart, life worse punishment than death."
This could simply be id Software/Raven using the same force trick that Luke did in their fight against the Autobot. Similarly, Charles and Raven grow up and can play the game is called "stories untold", and the game becoming a success. Yes, it will be Potts who then dons the armor in Lizβs picture indicates that she saw Grindelwald kill a load of wishful/foolish thinking on my part, the only evidence I had.
Karate Kid Part III was a terrible way to end the Daniel LaRusso saga, and The Next Karate Kid was even worse. Then, this show came out last year, and it was fantastic! If Karate Kid 3 didn't exist, I doubt that this show would even exist. For example, Stallone made Rocky Balboa because he wanted to give the Rocky Franchise the proper ending(this was before Creed, of course) after Rocky V failed to do so, and Rocky Balboa is viewed by most Rocky fans(myself included) as the silver lining of Rocky V. Does anyone else view this show as the silver lining of Karate Kid 3?
