Now began sleeping in the living room rather than bedroom to get away from the sound. I can't express how irritating it is, no idea how the neighbours put up with it!
Some players say that the walker scene was enlightening and that it gave them a new perspective on walkers... did I miss something?
The entire scene was horrifying, staring at the rotten husks that used to be people all while terrified that one of them would pick up my scent and eat me. When we rang the chime they all rushed over and listened... because they were looking for something to devour.
Walkers are not cute, or peaceful, or human in any way other than their general body shape. I regret keeping so many of them alive for James' sake because I'm pretty sure he is insane as well.
It's late. I just stood outside for a minute listening to the wind blowing snow around and windchimes singing from my neighbors' house across the street. It was really peaceful, but I'm glad to be inside now in the warmth.
Ok. Minor issue but i have to get this off my chest. The windchimes dont attached to any surface. Neither be free hanging ones or the ones with a horizontal mount. Kind of irritating.
So I live in an apartment and the people in the building next to me either just decided to put up no less than 5 sets of windchimes on their balcony. Their balcony is maybe 15 feet from my bedroom window, and I like to sleep with the window open, but hate the sound of those chimes. Am I being an asshole to ask them to remove them?
I lived in an older established neighborhood with my husband and our son. We lived in the neighborhood for a couple of weeks and still have not met the neighbors. Once we were settled in, I planned on inviting the neighbors over for a house warming party.
Our neighborhood was always a beacon of activity like biking and such. I often would watch the neighbors walk throughout the neighborhood or sit on their porches chatting with each other. I noticed no one came in or out of their home after 9:30pm. This seemed odd. We moved from the West Coast and people were out at all hours. I assumed the early hours were because the neighbors were retired and went to bed early or because we now live in the South where time stands still. Either way my street was like a ghost town after 9:30pm.
My husband recently bought us a dog, and I was excited at being a dog owner, that I decided I would train Penelope myself. Penn was not used to other dogs and needed to be walked later in the evening.
One night after I finished washing the dinner dishes, I decided to take Penn for a walk. It must have been 9:25-9:30 because the neighbors were going in. I waved but the didn’t wake back. I guess they didn’t see us. We walked down our side of the street and I noticed every house had windchimes. It was a gentle breezy evening but none of the windchimes chimed. The air went still…..the windchimes began slowly chiming in unison. I thought, “how interesting the neighbors windchimes are on a synchronized timer. We passed a Religious themed windchime and I swore I heard someone say “GO HOME.” I shrugged it off. Windchimes can’t speak. It was someone’s television. We passed a silver and gold windchime the GO HOME was louder.
I looked around and the street was eerily quiet. Penn by this time was making a slow rearward retreat and I was not too far behind. As I about faced, the windchimes were chiming fast and loud, as if they were warning the person inside of an upcoming tornado. I was beyond spooked.
We were 10 houses from our house and all I could hear was GO HOME, GO HOME, GO HOME. Penn froze in her tracks as if she were staring at something and was turned into a statute. The GO HOME chimes were so loud I thought I was going to pass out. I could feel the blood leave my face. I tried to move but I lost all control of my body. I was struck by fear. Find of the month for me!! I love windchimes. This one is much larger than what I currently have. Woodstock's website for this model, "Amazing Grace Chime-Large" retails for $75. It was in it's box with tags on. Love it!!
Just saying. Of all the things in this game that are broken, these are the most useless.
