A list of puns related to "The Charlatans discography"
I have been asked by some of my friends of family members to reduce some of my criticism I have toward the church's truth claims, which I feel is outrageous. I hate the fact that so many people who no longer go to church or are members of the church have to sugarcoat their actual feelings regarding the truth claims of the church when talking with TBMs. If you do your research and come to your own conclusion, then you have every right to share your true feelings, opinions, and points of view on any subject, to include the church's truth claims and doctrine.
It is so pompous and arrogant to assume that only a TBM has the right to pubically share his/her feelings about a particular church subject; yet, if I come to a different conclusion that doesn't align with their way of thinking/understanding, then I should remain silent out of respect for their beliefs? No! I'm not the one sending over 50,000 missionaries door-to-door and asking for 10% of someone's income! I have every right to share my beliefs in a public or private setting.
First of all, even a Mormon apostle said that being offended is a choice, so if I speak frankly and bluntly about certain church truth claims, events or actions of church leaders, YOU choose to be offended.
Secondly, if you already have "the truth" as you claim, then why does it matter what we say--and how could you even be offended? I don't get offended when people say the Earth is 6,000 years old, because it know that claim is a joke and ridiculous. However, if I suggest that the BoM is not a historical record, then many TBMs I know become upset, offended, and frustrated.
Finally, any truth claim or so-called event is open to investigation and scrutiny. If you are going to proclaim to the world that the Mormon Church is the ONLY true church on Earth, with the authority to act in God's name, that the BoM is a historical, ancient record, and that salvation only comes via membership and ordinances within the church and temple, then you better be able to back it all up with a bit more than warm and special feelings and disgraceful apologetics.
I know JS was a true charlatan, ramen!
Assuming Alan Moore was allowed to use The Question, Blue Beetle, Captain Atom, etc how would the story have changed with their different personalities and skill sets
Hi all, here's my House Delaque gang, The Charlatan Syndicate ready for the weekend and the start of a new Law and Misrule campaign.

Today marks a great day in the calendar of all supporters of Chadlos. For some time now, the World Congress has been an incapable, sludge - tainting the island with bureaucracy and it's inability to promote any form of change to the island.
Chadlos and his followers did not permit this monstrosity to exist a day longer.
The congress has been overthrown, and from it's ruins now stands as a magnificent monument to our great god, the kilted AK kitty in the sky.
Praise be! Praise Chadlos!

Followers of Chadlos are invited to celebrate this monumental occasion tonight at 6:00 EST. Details in game nearer the time. There will be fireworks.
I'm referring to Cicero's De Divinatione, Book 2, when he tells the story of Tages, then cites Cato, who thought that haruspices should laugh at each other as they are charlatans. As for the augurs, I'm talking about De Legibus, where he says for example :
Maximum autem et præstantissimum in Republica jus est Augurum
I have no clue why, but I am incredibly intrigued as to what it is
Many a times i see random song recommendations on my feed. Those are usually their most popular songs. I love that song so much that i decide to look up other music. But in a row all their other songs disappoint. I'm not very impatient or pessimistic so i decide to wait for their new release. If that too disappoints, i more than often give up for good. Ever happened with y'all? Which song? Which artist? Do you have any hopes or you've totally given up?
Tysm!

Obviously there are artists which have their debut as their greatest work (Guns N' Roses, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan) but for the majority of the music it isn't the case. I personally prefer to listen in chronological order, even if it means to listen to some mediocre stuff too. In my opinion in that way you could see the artist evolve and grow artistically in different directions, especially more experimental acts like Radiohead, Autechre, Swans, Bjork, David Bowie. Probably it isn't the same with more straightforward bands but i guess any album is worth a listen. What's your opinion? Do you think there are artists/bands discographies that are better to listen in chronological order?
Science trains us to doubt, to ask questions about 'accepted' paradigms and theories. There are no authorities in science. An undergraduate student may discover something that demolishes a theory proposed by an accomplished scientist. On the other hand, superstition and religion train us to be gullible, to believe without evidence, to respect authority and to be open to manipulation, abuse and suggestibility.

Natasha groaned as she awoke to the sound of her phone buzzing against her headboard. Her forehead throbbed with pain while nausea engulfed her stomach. She smacked her dry lips and felt overpowered by thirst.
With her eyes shut, she fumbled her hand around until she found her phone and grabbed it. She tapped the spot where she thought the βanswerβ button might be on the touch screen. Then, with a hacking cough, she held the receiver up to her mouth and said, βHello?β
A womanβs voice said, βHello, Iβm calling for the owner of Natashaβs Crossing Over Encounters.β
βWhaddya want?β
βUhβ¦ I understand youβre a psychic who can communicate with people whoβve passed on, is that correct?β
Natasha opened her bloodshot eyes and sat up.
βAhem, yes thatβs right. Sorry, I thought you were a salesperson. How can I help you?β
βMy name is Serena Henderson. My husband passed away not long ago, but I still feel his presence in our condo. Iβd like you to come see if you can communicate with him.β
βAbsolutely, Mrs. Henderson.β
βPlease, call me Serena.β
βAlright, Serena. Can you give me your address?β
βItβs 1011 Paulson Street, suite 1007.β
Natasha got out of bed and walked over to her flimsy desk in her small, ramshackle bedroom. The beer cans that covered the floor clanked against each other as she shuffled through them. A few pieces of acid blotter paper sat on the desk next to her old, outdated laptop. She considered taking one, but decided it would be best to not show up at the clientβs home tripping.
She opened the laptopβs lid and typed Serenaβs name and address into a search engine. The first search result was a directory page for βSerena and Michael Henderson.β Beneath it was a link to a week-old article on the city newspaperβs website. The headline said, βBankerβs Suicide Stuns Community.β
Natasha knocked on the woodgrain-patterned door inside the condo complex. It was so solid and heavy that it hurt her knuckles.
The door opened a few moments later to reveal a petite woman with auburn hair standing in the doorway. She wore grey suit pants, a white short-sleeved button up shirt, and black pumps. Natasha felt underdressed in her plain black t-shirt, jeans, and tennis shoes.
The woman looked her up and down with an expression of mild surprise. βYouβre the psychic?β she said.
Natasha smiled as she stuck her hand out and said, βYes, Iβm Natasha. Good to meet you.β
After a slight hesitation, the woman shook her hand and said, βNi
