A list of puns related to "Tai Chi Hero"
Experienced shroomer here. I probably have 50 or 60 trips under my belt. I used mushrooms to kick the booze a couple years ago, and have since been using them as a meditation guide. Shrooms have contorted my body into certain mudras and asanas that I had never been taught prior. These last few trips I have been doing yoga, meditation, breath-work, etc., and it has been really wonderful and healing. However, this last time I gave Tai-Chi a go. I'm new to Tai-Chi and do not have a teacher so I have only been practicing the first 4 stances over and over again these last two weeks. Boy, let me tell ya... I have never felt anything like this. I thought i had seen it all, but once again I was proven to be just as much of a baby as I have ever been. The Chi started in my navel and exploded throughout my arms and legs and up my spine. The whole room began breathing with me (more than usual). Such clarity. Such balance. I continued to stand in Horse Stance and had the most enlightening trip yet.
Anyway, just sharing. Tai-Chi is awesome. That's all.
Hello.
I have a history of abuse that I am attempting to heal from.
I have read that yoga can be good for helping people with that sort of trauma as it can establish a sense of safety in their own bodies. However, for reasons I don't care to expand on it has the opposite effect for me.
I am curious if Tai Chi could also promote emotional and mental healing in a similar way.
I asked this over on r/kungfu but I wanted to ask here as well just in case.
I'm a big fan of Jesse Enkamp on YouTube; his enthusiasm and love for karate is very inspiring and I love his open-mindedness and willingness to seek out and learn new (and old) things. I recently watched a series he did where he went to China to find out about the kung fu styles that influenced Okinawan karate, and ended up training with white crane and incense-shop boxing practitioners.
It was a great and really interesting little mini-doc and it got me to thinking - does anyone have any channels they like on YouTube that are about learning and practicing tai chi (or if not tai chi, maybe kung fuor TCMA in general) done in a similar style? Not instructional videos, but just someone really exploring their passion, travelling, talking to different people, learning new things?
with extra zen pls
Dude was constantly eating Cheetos.
Iβve noticed on a couple of occasions that thereβs a small number of people that appear to be doing tai chi or quigong in the middle of Welles Park during the weekdays. Theyβre out there in all sorts of weather. Does anyone know anything about this? Or, if not, can anyone recommend another group that might have meetings in the good old fashioned out of doors?
Is there is any open space where they do morning Tai-Chi / Qi Gong in Scarborough?
All this talk about the Matrix and Keanu and the action, and i feel like i'm the only person who's seen Man of Tai Chi. Keanu directed it! Stars his buddy Tiger Chen. it's definitely where Keanu fell in love with the "haiduken" or whatever David called it.
Oh, and: Keanu is THE BAD GUY. And makes a convincing one!
The action is pretty good - it's basically Wall Street but with prize-fighting instead of insider trading. And then the guy from the Raid shows up as the final boss. The fighting is better than The Matrix 4, but then again, it's the focus of the movie, so you'd hope so.
Anyway, definitely check it out - good-to-great martial arts movie with an interesting Keanu performance. And it's free on Amazon (with ads).
Kind of a long shot but are there any reputable Tai Chi teachers in the city? I know there's the Taoist society or whatever it's called but that's not really my bag. Any help is appreciated.
I'm 32 and want to learn Tai chi as I learned it's a great way to reduce stress while getting some physical movement.
There are no tai chi teachers in my city so where and how can I begin learning Tai chi? Would really appreciate if you can help me with some YouTube links to get started. Thank you!
Since Fei stated that he never fought Lu in Purgatory, how do you think the match would have went since both of them would have held back a lot.
I did balance 93 today (dropped yesterday I think) and omg I squeed with delight when it began with a tai chi warmup! I AM SO GLAD ITS BACK to start the main sequence!!
Hi everyone,
I'm curious if Dr. Vervaeke has ever mentioned exactly what he does for tai chi each day. I'm pretty new to his work, and have found his meditation videos, but was hoping to find a tutorial of his tai chi practice. Alternatively, are there beginner videos that y'all would recommend for me from another source? Thanks!
It's amazing how they are always in position to use our own momentum against us. All the buying power is absorbed and redirected as downward pressure without fail.
I reckon that my tai chi practice really helps me understand the Dao a bit more and vice versa. For me they are part and parcel and I canβt imagine one without the other.
Iβm moving (back) to the North Potomac area in Montgomery County from California and wanted to see if anyone knows some good places in the area to learn/practice authentic Tai Chi?
I love Martial Arts and I want to keep it in my life, I got hurt a year ago leaving me with lower back pain, a difficult time lifting my left leg (walk with a limp), and my left arm always sore and no grip strength.
I'm very new to CMA and the internal martial arts, but I believe this is something I want to try
I have done a little research on tai chi and Bagua Zhang but I would to hear what others have to say about them and which would u recommended for someone like me and which one I will get more physical/help benefits
I have a strong karate background with kata/forms if that helps out, but the way my body is right now it's hard to do them
Hello.
I have read that yoga can be very helpful for people with CPTSD because it can help people establish a sense of safety inside their own bodies.
However, yoga makes me have "the feeling".
I'm curious if Tai Chi could be a good alternative.
