Alright back to our regularly scheduled programing! Today we are going to look at Surge of Demonic Power for Soul Savers Weekly. This is a purple Legendary Action Card from The Devils Awaken. It is 6MP and has the following ability. Changes the MP Cost of all cards in both players hands and EX Pockets to 1. And here we go!
Pros:
- 6MP for this means it is out of range for the commonly run Negates. In the upcoming GP though we will see.
- Dropping every card in your hand to 1 MP can lead to some massive combos.
- Big Resonate greatly benefits from this as you can easily run actions to buff, damage etc.
- Lowering some of the higher cost units to 1 MP is a great way to drop Amatsu, V etc and play off of that.
- Lowering the opponents higher cost Action Cards makes them negateable as they now cost only 1 MP.
- Great in a pinch when your field gets wiped or low as it can easily help you reload it quickly.
Cons:
- 6MP is not splashable in multicolored decks.
- It is a double edge sword as now your opponent can drop their big units or actions easily.
- While it will help drop some higher cost Growth units, it can slow the growth process down by making those units 1 MP. Though cards you draw will not lower so that helps, just a small slowdown.
- In mirror matches, can turn into an Action Response fest and help the opponent more then it helps you.
I love this card. I run it in every purple deck. Would I go out and craft it though? Depends on what you want to run. If you want to run Big Resonateβ¦. Yes I say craft this. It can greatly assist in you win condition and help you pump up and pump out damage. If you are running 4MP purple or growthβ¦. Nah, itβs not necessary. In 4MP decks it will mess with the synergy the cards have and in growth it can slow the growth process. I still run it in my Growth Purple deck as a utility though. What type of decks do you run this in? Do you like this card? Has it helped you get any big wins? Let me know!
Noticed that there is a lot of bad info out there about powering the Xbox One and One S - given that electricity is my background, thought I'd help clear up some misconceptions.
You can't lose a ground on the original Xbox One - the original Xbox One was supplied with a C17 style power cord, which only contains your active/neutral AC conductors (no earth/ground as in a similar C13 style power cord, used on PCs etc.). You can use a PC C13 cable if you need to replace it - the Xbox One power supply uses a C18 socket, which just doesn't have the earth pin in it, so it won't matter.
The One S uses a standard C7 cable ("Figure 8") - realistically they're drawing bugger all current, but any good quality cable will be fine.
All of this talk about surge protectors/not using power boards etc is a load of rubbish really. Surge protectors are generally filtering capacitors or MOV's (or a combination of both), and are not going to change the fact that you have either 240V or 110V going through that power cord to your device. A good (read: good quality, not necessarily expensive) surge protector may not be a bad idea if you are in an area with poor power infrastructure.
Power boards, and double adapters, simply put are (internally) bits of copper strip that connect your one power outlet into however many. If you have a working powerboard, or double adapter, of good quality, there is no difference between plugging in on a board, or direct to the wall.
If you're having any issues due to surge protectors or power boards/double adapters, it's most likely that your protector/board is at fault, or your house wiring.
Hope this helps.
Just a friendly reminder that there are catastrophic events such as people working on the electrical line down the street.
I lost a 2TB ssd that I only plug for backups, two 3.5 (2TB raid) which were turned off. I was just backing up the files from the desktop to the external manually and it fried the sdd and raid. Two drives were newborns (less than a year). Somehow, the pc is fine (two drives).
I have extra partial backups (4th and 5th copies) but some things are lost forever. I was appaled and now I'm reflecting on my life choices.
Btw it had a (useless) surge protector (tv, phone line, etc.).
Edit: I chucked the drives and restored the superblock backups. Combining the readable data from 3 sources, I was able to restore the critical data (except pictures, but they were still on the source devices) but lost all else. The data which followed a full backup scheme had many versions on each drive. It was salvageable. The computer's usb has been damaged too and couldn't supply any external drive. Low power only. So I did all that with another external power supply and another PC. I lost an unknown amount of files. Happy ending overall.
It's nice to come back to the game and finally be able to play the forges. Thanks Bungo.
Sincerely, a fan without time to play very much <3
