A list of puns related to "Sulfuric acid poisoning"
Hi r/chemistry, I am trying to track down the source of Pd/C catalyst poisoning and believe it may involve the sulfuric acid used in the previous step. We are doing an EAS in neat sulfuric acid, isolating the product by precipitation in water. Following this step we are doing a Pd/C-catalyzed hydrodehalogenation reaction using potassium formate or ammonium formate as the transfer hydrogenation reagent. The EAS product (pure by NMR and HPLC) does exhibit significant catalyst posioning, even after recrystallization from MeOH/water. The catalyst poisoning is toned down by the addition of KOH, and also seems to be dependent on the supplier of the original starting material. Anyone have any ideas as to the source of the poison?
Did anyone else see the KXAN story about Samsung Austin Semiconductor leaking Sulfuric Acid for up to 100+ days? They casually mentioned it on the evening news a bit ago but I can't find a mention of it on their website or anywhere else. They followed shortly after with a puff piece about the new site in Taylor and their fire dept. expanding because of it, which very much seemed like a deflection story.
Where do I find them? Can I craft them?? I keep getting impregnated and itβs annoying. PLEASE HELP.
Does anyone have experience ordering from ScienceCompany in Canada? And problems receiving it or with customs? Any duties/brokerage/customs fees I should worry about?
I'm achievement hunting while I wait for the update and I saw that getting sulfuric acid from plants is one. I've never found ANY. Is it only on certain planet types or locations?
Hello, I am using 4 blender to make uranium cells, 3 blenders are connected to a reffinery producing sulfuric acid, and the last one gets the acid surplus from the 3 other and itslef. However, after several hours, the system is completely clogging itself. I don't understand why this is happening, any idea? Could it be I am not burning the uranium rod fast enough in the nuclear plants and at some points this halts the production chain? Thanks.
Running out of oil in my origin planet and I read that there are sulfuric acid oceans.
Where are them? And how can it be collected?
I got 2 bottles of sulfuric acid made of HDPE that are about 1,5 years old and both turned black.
I heard before that sulfuric acid can turn black when it is contaminated e.g. by dust or if the lid of the bottle is made up of a material that can be oxidised by it.
The problem I have is the following: I opened one bottle at the time of purchase. If only it turned black I would have accepted it and thought, that it got contaminated with dust.
The inside of the lid looks absolutely pristine, so it did not get contaminated from that.
But if that is the case, why did the sealed bottle turn black? No way dust got inside there and the bottle cap does seem resistant.
I guess the acid is still potent and usable, but are the bottles still save? What else should I store the acid in?
