Are there any games like Rebels inc but you play as the insurgents and Guerrillas instead of playing as a stabilising force?

Currently making a walker-physics prototype, and I've encountered a bit of a problem.

Basically, my walkers (aka prehistoric reptiles) need to be stable on two legs/raytraces, so I'm using a single upwards force and applying stabilisation so it doesn't fall over.

However, I'm stumped at actually converting the current rotation of the object to stabilising force so it stays reasonably-upright.

I've created a test box which is not affected by gravity, so I have something to play with so I can understand what the equation I've plugged in is doing exactly. So far, I've figured out the difference between force and impulse, and plugged values in so I know what the outputs should look like.

However, when I plug in values (using the default rotator -> vector that appears) related to its rotation- 'get world rotation', 'get world rotation this frame - get world rotation last frame', and so on- it begins to rotate around the X-axis. Given that the latter should produce 0 if there's nothing happening, I am understandably confused.

I definitely want angular force or torque to be my mechanisms, I want it to be purely physics-driven to avoid the jankiness that set-value-based movement presents in a physics-based world.

Anyone know which point in the process is going wrong, and an alternative/tutorial that should work correctly?

Months ago, when the Israeli government were cracking down especially hard on Palestinian people, and it was all over the news, and tensions were high, many people were able to recognise that we should stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people because they are facing legitimate oppression.

I remember people like Hasan spending time trying to debunk the pro-Israeli propaganda. Hamas is a terrible, and terrorist organisation, and yet, despite this fact, supporting the Palestinian people trumps whatever bad apples exist in their ranks. Yes there are weird historical conditions which exacerbate the conflict but it doesn't matter because right now, the Palestinian people are facing genocide.

And no one was advocating for the invasion of Israel either. The best position remains to sanction the government, stop funding their military and send support/aid to the Palestinian people. We can bandy about ideals, but in the realm of geopolitics, that doesn't fly.

More importantly, everyone recognised that we can't trust the Israeli government to act morally. They can only be forced to do good things, or at least convinced not to do bad things through external pressure. Trusting that they will stop at just the Palestinian people is a ridiculous idea. Even though saying/doing nothing might "stabilise" the region, inaction is wrong.

So why then, now, as Ukraine (and a lot of eastern europe) faces Russian oppression, are people demurring, why are they not so ardent in their support? We all recognised that it wasn't okay to sacrifice Palestine on the altar of geopolitics and now, it is? Suddenly we should do nothing?

Suddenly Ukraine is full of neo-nazis, suddenly the only option is WW3, suddenly we should trust the motives of an autocrat. I'm so disappointed by the left. What happened to international solidarity?

How to Tell if a Tulpamancy/Plurality Resource is Trustworthy

This is an attempt at producing content because goddamn, brain just does not wanna make content like this right now and has been like that for what feels like months.

In plural circles, or more specifically in Tulpamancy communities, one might come across a plethora of resources, most commonly posts or links to various guides. Said guides are so imperative to the community that several websites, blogs, and modernly Discord servers are dedicated to archiving and displaying these resources. The issues arises when these resources are entirely sourced by the people of the community itself, especially given the fact that Plurality is inherently subjective with no universal experience to bind absolutely everyone together.

So the question presents itself: what resources are trustworthy? What has possibly crucial information that might greatly benefit the reader or legitimately has harmful misinformation or flat-out disinformation within?

We of the Dragonheart System pride ourselves with our breadth of knowledge on the subject of Plurality, especially the practice of Tulpamancy/tulpa creation, having read nearly every Tulpamancy guide in existence. Alongside that, we are also the authors of the currently longest Tulpamancy guide and separate FAQ document. As such, we believe our experience can be used to inform others on what is and is not reliable.

However, please note that there are always going to be outliers within a general set of guidelines when it comes to this type of community. These are simply general tips on what to look out for, not a holy bible one must abide by. Most, if not all guide authors mean well with their pieces, but most guides are simply a system's experiences articulated into an informative format, derived from their subjective journeys. Every guide does in fact have flaws and issues with them to some extent, and that is perfectly all right.

Down below this point are general things a reader should look out for when reading Tulpamancy and/or Plurality resources in terms of possible red flags or things to simply be wary of.

The resource outright asks or attempts to get the reader to perform something dangerous.

This should be somewhat obvious, but this is a major one. There are guides, even popular ones that advise their readers to perform legitimately dangerous acts. One example is from Tulpa's D.I.Y Guide to Tulpamancy where on page 24 of his guide, Tulpa claims

After the success of the new crew integration aboard my vessel Discoveries of the Stars, namely the human “Dave”, I have decided to invite some more prospective crew members to join my crew to assess their performance. I was pleasantly surprised with the human Dave’s performance as a member of our research team and wish to assess the performance of another member of humanity in a more critical role aboard my ship as a systems engineer, while I would agree that basing the capabilities of an entire species from a single individual being is premature I do feel that it is worthwhile task.

The new crewmember, who identifies as a female calls herself “Jen” and has some prior experience aboard humanities’ fledgling space borne fleet , I have some concern over her ability to adapt to our more advanced technology and to our crew, however I do find myself professionally hopeful that she will succeed.

My ship carries on our course towards the system Yβ-300r-2α, located roughly 150 light-years from Sol due to some potentially interesting electromagnetic readings detected from the Compact’s interstellar telescope array. This I feel is a worthwhile first mission as it can satisfy both my professional and personal curiosity and gives our new crewmember a chance to experience the running of my ship over our 6 week trip.

Regarding Jen directly preliminary reports indicate that she is adjusting well with her fellow crew and the lower level tasks she has been given which is a personal relief, firstly that my crew is focused and happy and secondly that Jen herself appears to be focused and “on the ball”. This does relieve me in part due to some of the gossip I’ve overheard from other captains who have taken aboard human crew and the boredom produced “projects”, nothing lethal or dangerous enough to say de-orbit a research vessel, but concerning nonetheless.

One can only hope that Jen remains focused and doesn’t resort to inventing something that inadvertently reverses the kitchen’s gravity plating.

I don't want to step on anybody's toes here, but the amount of non-dad jokes here in this subreddit really annoys me. First of all, dad jokes CAN be NSFW, it clearly says so in the sub rules. I'm sorry for all Kazakhs and foreigners abroad who can't reach their close ones in Almaty, I hope they're all safe and doing well, overall situation in the city seems to have stabilised at least in my upper part of the city, and really most people are safe, internet is still being shut down, I have no idea how it works but it seems that some VPNs work and some don't (although I have two identical VPNs one on iPhone one on Android and only Android one works, thanks to it I can reach out to you guys) My stances on protests are that I still support them although they really lost the intensity it had yesterday and the day before yesterday, all of this over violence seems to come not from the protestors themselves and there definitely seems to be some third group involved, I genuinely believed this will result in something good but for now situation is really unclear for me. As I said there's a internet shutdowns and moreover to that from today on I noticed food shortages, I couldn't buy bread, milk or flour anywhere even if I searched like more than 20 places, and my part of the city really seemed like bunch of people going around here and there in search of basic items for food. Huge lines to bread stalls, people asking each other if there's x item in y place, I felt like I literally went back to USSR even though I wasn't born nowhere near that time. 4 Release to the Wind: This is mainly here to combo with Valki - if you exile Valki with Release, you can cast the Tibalt planeswalker backside for free as early as turn 3 which is insanely powerful and can often win the game on it's own. Valki is a reasonable card on its own but the deckbuilding challenge with this combo is finding a shell where Release also has other utility otherwise it's just essentially a completely dead card unless you have Valki. The Captain blink shell feels like the perfect shell for this combo as not only can you use Release to blink Captain and your other ETB creatures, but you can also use Captain to dig for Valki to set up the combo more consistently. Additionally, it also really helps out the biggest weakness of the blink decks which is that they get shut down hard by Hushbringer/ Strict Proctor. The bant blink decks are really powerful but don't have good tools to deal with Hushbringer or Strict Proctor. Hushbringer isn't seeing loads of play right now but the UW Lotus Field control deck running Strict Proctor feels like the most popular deck on the ladder at the moment so bant blink just doesn't feel like a good choice because of that. Not only does the Valki + Release combo give us something really powerful to do that isn't affected by Hushbringer/ Proctor (resolving Tibalt vs Lotus Field control is often enough to win the game on its own) but we can also use Tibalt to exile the Hushbringer/ Proctor with its -3 ability to enable all our ETBs again so it really helps to solve one of the biggest problems the blink decks have right now.

The engineering team had asked for a chance to construct a modified torpedo, it would fire off impact a disabled ship or if the chance arose fly in through a hanger bay or open hole in the ships armour, before exploding out into a spherical frame engraved with runes.

Today was the first test of the new boarding weapon.

Quick disclaimer: A lot of these changes are mechanical in nature, i.e. numbers to make it balanced are subject to change, especially for the more ambitious reworks. The goal generally is to improve diversity and remove feels bad moments.

Below is a list of different balance changes, related non-meta cards and archetypes that I have accumulated over quite some time and I would be really interested what other people think about them:

  • Merge Sun Disc draw condition and "you've leveled a champion" into a new keyword, allowing these card to be used more freely in Mono / Pure Shurima, e.g. Devout: You have leveled a champion or at game start all your cards were from the same region. Cards affected
    • Buried Sun Disc (effectively unchanged)
    • Destined Poro (no longer requires a lvl 2+ champ in Mono / Pure Shurima)
    • The Absolver (ditto)
    • Devoted Council (ditto)
    • Voice of the Risen (ditto)
    • Thrumming Swarm (ditto)
    • Key ideas: Destined Poro and Devoted Council could help with early game stabilisation, Voice of the Risen can force more trading with e.g. Sand Soldiers early on. The others are mainly for consistency
    • Maybe Shaped Stone could give +3/+1 instead +2/+1 if also Devout and a landmark was played? Might make the card very complicated though
  • Buried Sun Disk goes to 0 mana
    • Not exactly a new suggestion, it's just here because it is related and it makes sense to me. The tempo loss from playing Sun Disc on 1 feels so strange to me given behind how much work the pay-off is with Sun Disc doing nothing in the meantime
  • Buried Sun Disk Countdown gets reduced everywhere, i.e. it also affects other Sun Disks so the deck doesn't fold at the sight of landmark removal
    • Also not exactly a spicy idea. If that is too strong, adjust the starting Countdown number
    • Unlike e.g. Starspring, Sun Disc doesn't even win the game once it's condition is fulfilled. The Emperor's Deck and level 3 champions are hard to beat, but not impossible, whereas a Star Spring that goes off is impossible to beat
• Why are so many of the really interesting Shurima spells which are totally within the Shurima region pie so prohibitively expensive: Careful Preparations, Chronoshift, Servitude of Desolation to name a few
• I would really be interested in a less clunky version of Lux which carries over mana spent on spells and e
