Spur of the Moment (The Twilight Zone) Puns

My wife got something in her eye and grabbed the first towel she could find which happened to be my shower towel. She says

"Great I'm probably rubbing my eyes right where you had your balls"

Me: "yup, now you have eye balls"

Most of the reviews I have read trash the series for it's political undertones and for predictability, but Roger Ebert [Brian Tallerico] praise it.

I can't see it as I am not subscribed to the service showing it. How is it for someone who likes the original and don't mind series to be politically slanted (I liked the liberal-ish West Wing and the more conservative House of Cards)?

EDIT: Ok, I have just watched the two first episodes and I have to say they are very uninspired. The comic one had a glimpse of what makes TZ great, but then it squandered it with the most asinine and predictable ending imaginable.

The second episode, the one with the plane, was a lot better - until about 15 minutes left where it just seem to spoil everything good it had going for it.

I thought it was actually really good!

Kind of disappointing it needs to be on some separate network that will end up killing itself.

I want them to make more seasons. But I feel like doing this, will cut the funding by alot.

They have high valued actors it seems in every episode...

Hey all. I write songs based on my favorite episodes. I don’t know know which episode to do next. I like to write songs based on the moral of the story. I've been watching the original series during my self-isolating. There's a weird sweetness to the show that makes me feel a bit more positive about human nature and feels especially pertinent now. I think my personal favorite is the one where the old couple tries to get new, younger bodies and then decide they're better off living their last years to the fullest instead.

I just watched the first episode of the new Twilight Zone series with Jordan Peele and, to my great surprise, the protagonist starts listening to a fictional podcast clearly voiced by Dan Carlin. I confirmed it was him in the credits. Don't know if he ever announced he'd be doing this, but I got quite a kick out of it.

Unfortunately he never got to say BOOM!

It's a fucking television show, having an honest discussion about it with ANYONE is just impossible. It's like everyones been brainwashed to hate it. No matter what or where a post is, there will always be some person commenting "yeah and they couldn't even make Jon pet the dog!!!"

I swear to god, these people need everything spelled out for them, and pick apart every scene looking for a tiny inconsistency(a lot of which can be explained away rationally), and complain, and even if you explain anything to them, there's always something else for them to complain about. It's a good show. There are flaws. But the level of hatred is spiraling out of control and I just cant believe its happening

I'm a life long TZ fan but I've never been able to land on a short explanation that really captures the essence of the show. I usually just tell people to watch just one and then they get hooked. How do you explain the show to those who've never heard of it before?

Apparently this traumatized my mom when she was little. Time to dredge it back up!

Plot: a man finds himself at a mansion, his car broke down or something. There are multiple people living there. He falls in love with a young woman. He convinces her to leave the house with him. As soon as she steps her foot out of the front door, she disintegrates.

Currently watching it right now on syfy. The premise is good but the ending always ruins it for me. It also has that look that only two other episodes have because of the film/camera they shot it with. What say you, fellow residents of the twilight zone?

All I’m doing is trying to express my theories and ideas about whatever happens in life (i.e. wow! this would be a cool invention it would have all these implications; uhhh I think that guy down the street might be a serial killer and here is my reasoning...). But jeez man, no one seems to understand my thoughts but me, no matter how hard I try to explain them. Anyone else?

I’m genuinely curious because I am the only one who seems to care. It just rubs me the wrong way a company talked the talk, many submitted and nothing came of it. No announcement. No winner. I’m just confused. The company promised feedback for every submission from reddit as well. That was about two months ago.
