A list of puns related to "Software quality management"
We are currently look at ISO9001 accreditation and also ISO17025 and am in need of a QMS.
We are a small company and will have at most a dozen users on this platform. We have looked at a range of dedicated QMS software which is relatively inexpensive in the ~$2500 per annum territory.
My question is, how much do you really need a dedicated QMS platform, as opposed to using something like Sharepoint or GitLab with some custom flows/approvals etc? I have looked at two other companies that gained these ISO accreditations in the same field and they used Sharepoint and GitLab respectively.
I work in low volume / high value manufacturing/assembly. Each of our products gets calibrated, inspected to a checklist, and packaged with a USB drive with software and calibration data
Right now we are tracking deliveries in some combination of: Excel, a simple custom SQL database, and our ERP (SAP business one). We track: SN's and revisions of constituent components, calibration data (binary files), date produced, referenced sales order, etc.... It's pretty clumsy right now between change controlling the USB load, preparing COC doc's, tracking constituent data in multiple places
I'm looking for a software solution that can handle multiple configurations/products, help me track constituent/calibration data in a centralized place, and control software loading in a centralized place. I'm not sure if something like this exists or what its called
Looking at finder a better solution for tracking trends and making control charts than Excel. Even an add-in for Excel would be an improvement.
Our quality manager has been telling me that they now need some special software for quality management as trying to keep version controls and auditing through ms office products is becoming too tedious to manage. Just starting some research now and thought I'd ask around here if anyone has any experience with these products might have any suggestions.
