My name is Anthony Agius (most people know me on various online places as decryption) and my primary income these days is from the 820 people that give me $5/m or $50/yr to read my daily takes on the technology industry. I've been publishing The Sizzle (thesizzle.com.au) almost every weekday for a bit over 6 years.
For the last 10 years I've worked as a freelance technology journalist alongside The Sizzle, writing articles for publications like Delimiter, SMH/The Age, Macworld Australia, PC & Tech Authority, Australian Personal Computer, Drive Zero, Wheels/WhichCar and Media Connect/ITJourno. I've also spent a big chunk of those years doing copywriting (i.e: sponsored content blog posts, words in advertising campaigns, that kinda stuff) for various tech brands like Seagate, Hisense, Asus, Samsung, Gigabyte and heaps more.
Whenever people ask me what I do for a living and tell them I'm a technology journalist, they surprised to meet someone doing this full-time, so have a heap of questions about the work.

Have been sick with the 'rona for 10 days or so, decided to watch this series that has been sitting in my Netflix list for a few years.

I'm just gonna have to buy the series, I can't be cut off after 54 episodes.
But sometimes time stops and I get flash backs.
I finally went to Bunnings this weekend, needed a trellis for my tomatoes, and they had the sausage sizzle! Damn near teared up, it's been too long since I've seen one.
Sure, it was a cheapo sausage and bread, and the snag n onions could have done with another minute or so on the bbq, but goddamn that was the best $2.50 I've spent in months.

I recently just started having a new tone tinnitus a few weeks ago.
It started as a louder than usual ring on my right ear. Then progessed to left ear with a high pitched frequency. Almost like a sizzle voltage.
Now it's in both sides and louder. It seems to get louder every day I go to sleep for the past week.
I tried youtube white noises and woke with louder T and sizzling on both ears.
Does anyone have the same, and any hope for me?
I've had some medical complications in the past, and have a helicopter flutter sound every time I plug my ears from 3 years ago. But this is a completely new tone, and a bit concerned about going t o sleep with worsening tone. ENT and audiologist couldn't find the problem.
Any advice?
Or even doctors/clinic recommendations. I already have other medical conditions and prefer this not to be another one on my list of problems.
Got some guava dawg, £25 for an 8th, UK. Seemed pretty good, but after filling a tight half bowl in my pax whilst smoking it, it has made 2 sizzling noises. What could this be? Bad bud?
