Five of the biggest indie presses will be joining together once again to bid farewell to the holiday season with an epic free/$0.99 sale on Dec. 26th and 27th, and this is our one and only open call for participants. Authors, comment below if you want in, and I (u/BryceOConnor) or a member of the Wraithmarked team will DM you a link to the Google Sheets where you can sign up!
This year we are turning the MegaSale into a charity event to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital! To participate this year, you must pledge to donate $0.01 USD to St. Jude's per book you sell or give away!
Wraithmarked Creative, Mountaindale Press, Aethon Books, Shadow Alley Press, and Portal Books are all banding together once again to give r/Fantasy and the speculative fiction reader community an epic sale to bid 2021 goodbye in style.
All speculative fiction books that fit the following parameters are welcome:
I swear that's not much! For those of you like me who are bad at math, that means:
$1 donated for every 100 books, $10 for every 1000, $100 for every 10,000.
(For context, the average author sold/gave away about 2500 copies last year, so about $25 worth of donation).
For an example of how the last sale went, we sold/gave away more than 200k books across all our writers. That sale, the 2021 MegaSale, can be found here if you would like context.
Please comment below that you are interested, and I will DM you directly with a link to the sign-up Sheets!
Thank you all!

... keep reading on reddit β‘Some people are confused why the new maternity hospital wont be owned by the HSE
Most of the big hospitals in Dublin were set up by private entities and the HSE doesnt actually own them, the following is a list of those hospitals.
Adelaide & Meath Hospital, Tallaght, Dublin 24
National Orthopaedic Hospital, Cappagh, Dublin 11
Caritas Convalescent Centre, Merrion Road, Dublin 4
Central Remedial Clinic, c/o Mater Hospital, Dublin 7
Childrenβs Hospital, Temple Street, Dublin 1
City of Dublin Skin and Cancer Hospital, Ely Place Dublin 2
Coombe Womenβs Hospital, Dolphinβs Barn, Dublin 8
Mater Hospital, Eccles Street, Dublin 7
Mercy Hospital, Cork
National Maternity Hospital, Holles St Dublin 2
National Rehabilitation Hospital, Dun Laoghaire Co Dublin
Orthopaedic Hospital of Ireland, Clontarf Dublin 3
Our Ladyβs Hospice, Haroldβs Cross Dublin 6
Our Ladyβs Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin Dublin 12
Peamount Hospital, Newcastle, Co Dublin
Rotunda, Parnell St. Dublin 1
Royal Hospital, Donnybrook, Dublin 4
Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital, Adelaide Road, Dublin 2
South Infirmary-Victoria Hospital, Cork
St Johnβs Hospital, Limerick
St Michaelβs Hospital, Dun Laoghaire, Co Dublin
St Patrickβs Hospital, Cork
St Vincentβs Hospital, Fairview, Dublin 3
St Vincentβs University Hospital, Elm Park, Dublin 4
The HSE doesnt own these hospitals, they are owned by voluntary groups (historically religious groups that set up hospitals before the county/city councils built hospitals) and run by their boards.
The sale of NMH is funding the new hospital so the old owners of NMH will own the new maternity hospital (I guess there was a agreement) (*edit: Im hearing the sisters of charity actually own the site for the new hospital). The HSE would have to buy the hospitals to have them in their name. Some times the Hospitals run out of funding and the HSE agrees to take them over, St Lukeβs and St Anneβs Hospital, Highfield Road Dublin 6 is an example
> Voluntary public hospitals, most of whose income comes from State funds. Voluntary public hospitals are sometimes owned by private bodies, for example, religious orders. Other voluntary public hospitals are incorporated by charter or statute and are run by boards often appointed by the Minister for Health. http://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/health/health_services/gp_and_hospital_services/hospital_services_introduction.html
