I keep researching and researching and my "dream" setup has changed so much over the years.
basically now it seems to get a serious bang for your buck, a pair of high efficiency speakers paired with an SET amp.
For speakers I am eyeing the Tekton Mini Lore's
i am wondering if there is any compelling reason to not find an SET amp from the chinese high end market. are there any other options that are at all affordable?

Looking for any resources about the operation of vacuum tubes as amplifier, specifically a single ended triode amplifier. There's a lot of DIY circuits around but I'm mainly looking for resources on how they operate the tubes as amplifiers, and then examples.
Is Radiotron Designer's handbook recommended?
Im building something akin to a Dual Rec/5150, and might have half of a 12AX7 to spare. Anything interesting I could do with this, in particular with tone shaping?

I(34 MHL)moved from the US to Aus to be with my baby’s mother(32 FLL)We had a great relationship and even had a kid. However, in the 6 years we have been together it’s been a dead bedroom for 4 of those. I was hanging out drinking with my mate and her family. She ends up grabbing my dick and trying to kiss me. I brushed it off and went to go get changed in the bedroom(we had been swimming) and she comes in and gets naked on the bed. Queue her live in mother walking in and telling me I’m a dog cunt(I love Australia) and to gtfo. I had my pants on and had rejected the advance and was already leaving. Told my Low libido partner after 2 days, felt disrespectful not to tell her, and moved out. Now we are on a break and our son is living with her. I have seen him everyday until today. Missing him hard tonight.
It’s heartbreaking, I didn’t even do anything lmao, but it was INCREDIBLE to have someone want to kiss me and to touch my pee pee.
She now wants me to move back in. On one hand I would love to have a happy family for my son. However, while 90 pc of the time it was great, not being able to kiss the mother of my child or to feel her touch for months at a time with quick maintenance sex every 6 months was HURTING. I felt wholly rejected for years.
Now I’m in this country and have to figure out immigrant fatherhood. It’s tough, but I’m tough and I am dedicated to making sure our 3 yo kid has a great childhood. I also have a tight circle of friends here who have been amazingly supportive.
Just hurts that she didn’t want any physical intimate affection for years and to get put out over this. I would be keen to get back together, but this dead bedroom for months at a time has to come to an end.

Hello I was looking into the single head lathes ABR sells and I'm just curious as to what most people use them for ? What's the limit of what work can be done on one ? Would love to get into making tube bongs. But full lathes are rare in canada
Hey guys, I'm currently working on a regulated power supply going off a schematic I found. That schematic used a el34 as the regulating tube which I replaced with a pl519 for my design, and a ef80 as reference which I wanna replace with the pentode of a pcl805. Why you ask? I'm using a heater transformer that provides 2x20 volts for the pl519 and the py500a rectifiers and I if I used the ef80 I'd have to stick a 6 volt transformer in there, so I'm gonna use one of the 20volt lines for the pcl, easy as.
Now I've got the 'problem' that I've got the triode in the pcl unused and I can't let a perfectly fine system like that go to waste. I was thinking of something to do with that but can't find anything... What would be a cool little gimmick I could build into the psu using this lone triode? Throw me some ideas please...
