[TOMT] [Video game] tactical fantasy game with side scrolling hack and slash large army battles

So i dont have a ton of information on this one except that i watched someone play it on youtube years ago, I dont remember what system it was for but it looked fun, basically there was a big old fantasy map with castles on it and they connected to each other (similar to the brigandine games map) and you had a bunch of generals with armies of knight and soldiers( i remember there were like succubus and things too) and you had to conquer the map, amd when you got into a battle you controlled your general and had your whole army on one side of the map, and the two armies rushed together and you would sort of hack and slash your way through. Sorry I cant remember much more than this, Ive been searching for ages and I cant find anything, hopefully you guys can help!

Video request: woolie and Pat video on a dark side scrolling 2d game

I’m hoping someone can tell me what the video is, basically it’s a 2d game that’s absurd. It’s dark with weird creatures. I remember in one of the vids woolie explains to pay what the context of the Chinese Shepard pie is or something.

One of the scenes is when you trick a guard into being eaten by a creature. I don’t remember much else.

Btw mods, maybe we should have a tag for these kinds of posts.

Thanks!

[PC] [2012-2014] Black and white 2D side scrolling video game, pixel art. Player works at a newspaper kiosk, lives in a crappy motel.

It was this super difficult game where the player had to buy food, cigarettes and stuff to live in a crappy motel, at first he worked at this newspaper kiosk but later could work at a coffee stand. When you transitioned between levels you had the option to walk or go by bus, if you chose walk you didnt have to pay the bus ticket but instead had to walk like a minute just holding D.

vaguely remember the name being "hard life" or something like that, but nothing comes up

[TOMT] [VIDEO GAME] Really purple side-scrolling shoot em up game about a monster girl from Game Jolt

I've created this acc just for this. So I have been looking for this one game I downloaded from Game Jolt years ago on my old pc. From what I remember the title contained the word "her tears" and it was extremely purple. I remember one of the starting bosses was a floating eyeball that shot big ball projectiles. I only remember that boss because I don't think I knew what I was doing. And at the end of each level thingie you would get an award card things that gave you new abilites/made stats higher. I also remember that I think she shot bullets of love? And I think at the game over screen you could see her heart being broken. I remember that in the intro of the game the mc girl was in this hole and talked about how she was ugly and such. I really hope someone knows what its called even if this game's just one game in billions of games on Game Jolt.

[TOMT][VIDEO GAME TRAILER][2020] Side scrolling story based action game, with co op.

It was late spring/early summer of 2020. I had just spent a lot of time playing Castle Crashers with my kid and was looking for another side scrolling action game with co op.

I remember finding a gameplay trailer that was a playthrough of an early level with co op. I believe the characters where siblings, at near the end of the level they fought a boss reminiscent of a spider ( I think). I believe that maybe the sister had a sword and the brother was injured during the gameplay? The game appeared like it was going to be a story based game, with pauses in the gameplay for exposition and talking. The gameplay was at night (I think).

I honestly having trouble remembering a lot of details because I was on a gameplay bender looking for different games and saw a lot of trailers and gameplay within a short period of time. I do know that it was not out yet and am not sure if it had a release date. But it was a side scrolling action game with what appeared to be no platforming, with crisp 2d artwork.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

[PC Flash Game][2000 to 2010] You play as a samurai robed assassin or ninja, it was a flash game played on web browser, everyone is a shadow like Shadow Fight but it is side scrolling like Hollow Knight, I played it on one of those nice flash websites like kongregate, newgrounds, etc.

It was such a cool side scrolling flash game I think you have long hair not sure but your weapons are a katana, you can change it to dual wield, etc. Maybe he was a samurai ronin I don't remember. It was definitely high budget since the body type was drawn well and not cartoonish. Kinda like platformer basically you fight off enemies like Blasphemous, Hollow Knight, etc.

EDIT: It is called Armed with Wings, I played 1 and 2 but 2 has the better graphics

The game I'm trying to remember was on the Sega Genesis. Side scrolling Spaceship shooter (Similar to Gradius Left to right) Very specifically played it on the sega channel (Assuming this was the cartridge that tied in directly to your cable). It played extremely similarly to Super earth defense. I remember some levels being on "earth" and being able to "touch down" in the water and causing a sort of rooster tail. Enemy ships textures reminded me of something you would see in the movie "Aliens"

[TOMT][VIDEO GAME][1990s] A side-scrolling 2D platform game like Commander Keen

Hey all,

The first computer my mom bought us came with a CD that contained demo versions of some games. It must have been the late 90s, which would place the game somewhere in the second half of the 90s.

It was a side scroller like Commander Keen but a bit more advanced graphically. I say it was like Commander Keen because I think it dealt with the same subject matter; human(oid) protagonist fighting all kinds of extraterrestrial enemies. Also in terms of level design it was a bit more advanced, as you could descend down platforms quite a bit, a bit like the single player mode in Smash Brawl, where you just keep on going down and down. It was very cartoony and not as dark as Duke Nukem for example, it was definitely for kids or teens maybe.

I have noooo idea how to structure my search to find it, so here goes. Thanks!

[IOS][2010s]Side-scrolling Princess Game with Demons

Hi, I keep wondering about a certain IOS game back in maybe the 2010's? The game had a princess in it with blonde hair, a purple dress and a purple umbrella as her weapon and she had a bit of an attitude. Her name I do remember was Tiara.

The game centered around her world getting attacked by demons and she meets this weird cat-like creature where it was chubby, had small wings and a purple and white body. The gameplay was a side-scrolling pixelated game where you use Tiara's umbrella to shoot the demons coming at you, the game also had more and more levels and I think a story? But I never got that far.

The game was pretty graphic with how each enemy looked like, but that's all I really remember about the game

[solved] big shoutout to deaenifuta because of the dizzy link I kept looking and my memory was jogged. The game is called giddy 3!

Hello! Im trying to find this game, I believe the title has some kind of egg in it. The had you collect things to progress such as a battery for Mr. T’s van so he got out of the way. There where a lot of 80s references such as the A team, ninjas, the x-files and dr who. The levels where kind of cartoony and you had to back track a lot. For example you had to get a CD to give to an eel who was guarding some root beer that you used to beat a overgrown potato. I know in the first level it was like a farm and you had to jump over dog poop. You couldn’t kill enemies either as anything you touched hurt you.

[arcade][90s]side scrolling game with a cop

Platform(s): Arcade Machine

Genre: Side Scrolling but not beat them up (I think)

Estimated year of release: 90s

Graphics/art style: If I remember correctly it was close to Shadow Dancer - Revenge of Shinobi (with the dog). It is not undercover cops or e-swat.

Notable characters: a cop

Notable gameplay mechanics: I remember when you took damage your armor/body suit would get damaged.

Other details: This is so vague even for me. I can hardly remember a stage. I am sure it wasn't e-swat but it is really similar to it. E-swat had a body suit as well but this game's graphics were much better. It is close to undercover cops I guess. Similar to the color pallette of Toaplan's Outzone I think. Also, I said it is not shadowdancer but I am almost sure that this game had a dog helping you as well. Cop and a dog. I might be mistaking these 2 games though. Maybe it is E-swat or it is a better version of it but the e-swat videos I have seen on Youtube are too pale and not detailed at all. Thanks in advance for any ideas/opinions

[TOMT] Old side scrolling iPhone game

I remembered a long time ago I played a side scrolling shooting game on my brother's iPhone, it was super long ago, like 10 years at least I would think, I am not certain tho.

The detail about the game I remember:

It is a side scrolling shooter, you control a (ship?) And you move up and down, the game have a clean, modern, sci Fi look, with most of the things being white and I remembered a robot dragon/snake looking which is also white, with like only grey parts / scales? and it's a miniboss maybe?

I don't remember much about it but I just remembered how cool the robot dragon thing is, I don't even hope to play it but I just want to see the game again.

[TOMT][VIDEO GAME][1990s]A SNES side-scrolling SHMUP with a notable battleship level in a raging thunderstorm.

Does anybody remember a side-scrolling SNES SHMUP with a level where you are fighting over, around, and below a massive aerial battleship/large spaceship with moody lighting, an intense thunderstorm in the background, slow scrolling speed (like R-type scroll speed)? The level opens with you descending through the storm to the battleship. I THINK it was the 3rd level of the game. It definitely wasn't the first. As to the game, I was thinking it was R-Type III, but it's definitely not, I just checked via a playthrough on youtube. It's not Super R-Type either.

The graphics were very impressive for the SNES, the level was very atmospheric, and I recall seeing it mentioned on a list of memorable video game levels. I was thinking about how cool that level was, so I went back to look at R-Type III, but... I've also looked at other SNES SHMUPs and I can't seem to find this level anywhere, it's maddening.

Does anyone remember this level and know what game it's in?

EDIT: To clarify, you are fighting the battleship the whole time. The whole level is you fighting this massive battleship. You aren't just fighting in the vicinity of it, you are fighting the ship itself.

So I used to get this book from the school library when I was probably in first or second grade(early 90s). I cannot even remember what text it had or if it had any or anything really relating to the plot. My memory is so hazy so sorry for being vague. It was meant to be spooky but not overly scary. The drawings perspective was similar to a side scrolling video game but the way it was drawn was not at all 8 bit in nature. I have a memory of one scene being the inside of a haunted house but it was more of a cross section.

[TOMT][ANIMATION][2000s] Cool and Fun Animation that looked like a side-scrolling beat'em up video game but probably wasn't one

Not sure what year and I can't remember where I saw it. Probably from post-2000 and pre-2010, and most likely in video mixtape compilation. My video mixtape collection is in the 100s and skimmed a few but gave up (if you know video mixtapes, you know how exhausting they can be lol).

It looked just like a 16bit side-scrolling beat'em up video game, the 'level' was an office iirc. It was mostly black and white I think, with too Japanese art styled characters and the monsters were all over the place, the special moves were really cool, a character turned into a car or truck or tank or something. Was only an animation, pretty sure, but looked like a game I definitely wanna play. The rest of details are fuzzy as its been a long time and probably watched it under the influence.
