A list of puns related to "Service NSW"
I was doing some diy in the backyard and threw my back out so badly I was crying on the floor for an hour before my wife found me. We were so both concerned about the load NSW Health is under at the moment we didnβt know what to do.
I literally couldnβt move by this stage, I couldnβt roll over, move my legs and the pins and needles in my legs was awful and after ringing a nurse friend, who insisted on calling, we phoned 000 and spoke to the ambos.
We were prepared to wait hours and hope the pain subsided itself but thankfully Steph and Fiona pulled into our driveway and went to work.
They were so professional, so caring so thoughtful, so thorough and reassuring they made the whole process so easy and I canβt say thanks enough. They talked me through everything and with some morphine got me moving enough I could get on a bed and into the Ambulance. I felt so bad taking a spot for a bad back but they were so good about everything I canβt thank them enough.
Fiona drove so carefully to Sutherland hospital I could hardly feel any of the bumps of the road. Iβve never had strangers look after me so well, simply the best service, bar none.
Triage at Sutherland Hospital was perfect, so clean, professional, caring, simply amazing. They took me in checked my details quick handover with Steph and Fiona so they could get back on the road and help someone else asap. I felt like a useless lump of a burden but no one treated me like that, all the ambos nurses and doctors that came by were simply the best.
Some strong medication, expert advice and great assistance I was out about 6hrs later, still sore but walking and extremely grateful for everything, from everyone.
I overheard the nurses at their handover (off-going nurses to on coming nurses) explaining how some unvaccinated Covid patients/visitors were giving them grief and I got instantly upset, I couldnβt believe these nurses and doctors still have to face this BS abuse. They are just doing their job and want to help everyone. They were so good to me I couldnβt believe people want to disrespect them or treat them so badly. Itβs really sad.
I will be dropping by both the ambulance station and the emergency dept with some goodies as soon as Iβm back on my feet properly to say thanks. Hopefully the ambos nurses and doctors that helped me get a chocolate or 2, but I donβt care who eats them, I appreciate everyone who works in these places and I want them all to know that we all appreciate them and their s

Discover...not too sure as single and no kids.
Could use it with friends but have no idea where. Happy to travel to Hunter or Maitland or something cool.
Where did you use yours?
Edit: I've used the search website already. This is a curiosity post on what people used theirs on.
As per the title, not sure where better to post this question.
To add a bit more details, I work for a large company in a full time role, 2022 will be the 7th year of my employment with them. I am resigning from my role in order to become a student full time. I have applied for a part time position within the company, had 2x interviews with a 3rd scheduled (yes, 3x interviews for a part time role)... but its taking a while, and Uni starts next week, so I need to be not working full time from then onwards. I have given my notice already so that process is already underway.
What I am wanting to find out is if I end up resigning, my employment terminates, and then like a week or 2 later I start again with the same company in a different department, would my long service leave entitlement carry on? Or does the clock restart.
(I am aware that some employers, for eg public service will count time worked previously towards LSL entitlement but I am working under the assumption that my company will do the bare minimum legally required of them).
Iβm guessing they are just busy but I tested positive yesterday. I just want to know when my timeframe is for getting out of isolation.

So I've had to use the Service NSW app the last few days as I travelled through NSW.
However I've noticed, I scan into the shopping centre, and then I go into a shop, I scan into the shop.
I'm still in the shopping centre, but it scans me out of the shopping centre.
Then I leave the store, and I'm still in the shopping centre, but I'm not checked in, and when I try and go to my history to check back in, it won't let me.
Trying to follow the intent...but can't...
I keep getting notifications from the NSW Service app saying there has been new case alerts, and to check my check-in history. But when I do thereβs nothing new in my history.
Anyone else getting this?
In the last three days I've had notifications of updated exposure site information. So I check.. But when I scroll my check in history the same 4 sites previously notified as exposure sites are there. No new extra sites. All were the cautionary warning of a positive person on the same day. All sites were retail with mask on.
Does anyone else get these random notifications?
Hi Reddit!
This is no advertising. I am making NO money off this and its open to the NSW community.
I am the original creator of the Sydney and NSW digital government radio network stream to allow the community to listen to emergency services - and no.... police in most of NSW is now digital encrypted (ENC) and cannot be legally listened to.
I want to make sure everything is ready to enable the community to stay informed what might be a bad bush fire season - I hope not.
If my broadcast might one day save ONE life the over 20 years of service to the community would have been well worth it. Thank you in advance to anyone helping me out with this where possible. I always need a helping hand.
This is now hosted via YouTube with visual display showing what is currently scanned and a camera + plus some news when required (emergencies etc).

AGAIN, Please understand I have nothing to gain from trying to spam this subreddit with my stream as it is free, has always been and will always remain so. I am just trying to create a service which may one day save a life, property or pet....

If you would like some more information about my hardware/software set up, need help with databases for the GRN or need to know anything else feel free to let me know.
Merry Xmas and Happy New Year - Stay safe everyone (the feed will be online at NYE as well.)

Hi everyone,
I hope you are well.
I was just wondering if anyone had any idea when the online booking opens for Wallsend Service NSW Centre? I am trying to book in my driving test, but over the last two weeks I have been unable to get an appointment booked online or over the phone.
I keep running into the following issues:
Has anyone had any luck booking in with Wallsend Service NSW online? If so, any tips, or any ideas when the bookings open? I'm getting really frustrated with it!
EDIT: Just some more info, I made a booking at another Service NSW and have been trying to modify my booking rather than make a new booking over and over again because it's faster to enter a

However, when I tried to do this online I was refused. So I have just rung Service NSW. The Gentleman I spoke to had no idea of what to say and, surprisingly, said that I was the first person who had enquired about this. I thought that with so many people in this state now unable to work they would be inundated.
Anyway, after consulting with colleagues he came back to me and said that '... The Disaster Payment is not available to the Unvaccinated ...'
It's started ... All Benefits will be next.
Just got off the phone to Service NSW and I feel so fucking defeated.
5 years ago I passed my learner licence DKT. I was a bit nervous but still keen to start learning to drive. Unfortunately, not long after, an unrelated accident resulted in both of my parents losing the ability/will to drive. I had no other family nearby and both my work and uni were accesible by public transport. It wasn't ideal, but I could get away without a licence for a few years.
At the time I joked with my mates that they could be my instructors when they had their blacks but instead of laughing they were super keen on the idea. Around August of 2019 we put the plan into action, and three of my mates starting teaching me.
I was at around 80 hours when the first lockdown hit Sydney. My mates don't live with me, so once again driving was put on hold. When restrictions eased, we drove as much as possible, and around May this year I finally hit 120 hours.
After trying to book a test and not being able to, I realised I had to book yet another theory test (which now makes the transition from reds to greens just a matter of waiting?) and pay more money. Whatever, I learnt the questions, booked the test, and passed. The test itself seemed purposeless but it was done.
I booked my driving test for early July, 2021. It was cancelled due to the second lockdown. Cool, shouldn't be a problem, I'll just re-book when lockdown is over. There might be an increase in demand, but I should still have plenty of time before my licence expires in early October.
My licence expires next week. I'm gonna have to re-do the learner test. Annoying, but whatever. But I have to pay for it too.
Maybe I'm way off, but this just seems insult to injury. Service NSW shutting down testing centres for the long-term and then having zero contingency plan or even empathy for their customers affected.
I called them to see what the go was, it went along the lines of: "If you've not gotten your provisional licence after 5 years, it's your own fault. We may have stopped running tests, but you had 5 years to sort that out. Personal circumstances will not be regarded." Just seems a bit callous.
Feels as though getting a driving licence isn't as stringent anywhere else in the world, let alone other Aus states, as it is here in NSW. Why? Funding? Just feel beaten by the system. Any advice or thoughts, lmk.
We can now tell the Medicare Express app to talk to the Service NSW app about our vax status. I did mine last night and it works a treat.
